Vineland Tree Care

I was pleased with the company and result. I'd sent the description of the job by e-mail, and the only reason I gave a B for responsiveness was that it was 6 days before I heard any acknowledgment. But when I did hear from them it was a phone message that they'd come by the house to scope out the job and it would be a quick and easy job. Four days later two men showed up, did an awesome job of safely getting the trees down, cleaned up beautifully, including raking the yard. Style points for taking off a wind chime that my neighbor had hung on one of the trees and hanging it on her garage door handle.

Very good relationship and service. Performed work timely and in accordance with proposal. Because the job was small Vineland charged their "minimum fee" ($325 plus tax) which made pricing higher than it would have otherwise been. But, first class job and I would use them again - probably for a larger task.

It went very well. For such a huge project, it only took about 4 hrs...they had a wonderful team.

I was very pleased with Vineland. They answered their phones, provided a written estimate, scheduled the work promptly, showed up on time, did the work that I asked, and cleaned up well afterward.

Right off the bat I'll say based on our experience with Vineland that if you have tree work to be done and live in their service area, Vineland is the company to call. We called for an estimate, got it the next morning and the work was done 5 days later. The speed of their response was in part to accommodate our schedule for roof and gutter work. The crew arrived on time, with all the necessary equipment and safety gear and went right to work. Everyone on the job knew what to do, when and how. Thorough professionals, they worked together like clockwork. Watching two men swing through the branches of our Maple tree was like a trip to the Big Top. Two crew members accommodated a request from some women passer-bys for two long slender pieces of wood they wanted for garden posts. The crew cut the pieces to size and carried them to their car. That was heart-warming. Members of the crew made sure that they had done the work to our satisfaction. All had such positive attitudes toward their work and us. This was the best experience with a tree company we have had in the last 30 years.

It went very well. They left my front yard spotless, were very courteous, and very professional.

Seamus came out and took a look at the trees and then called to talk over the plan with us. We got a bid almost immediately. Seamus walked us through how they would take down the tree and what we would need to do to prepare the yard. The silver maple was a very old, large tree (I'm guessing 60+ years). To make matters more difficult, we have a very small South Minneapolis backyard and the tree was hanging over our house and the neighbors' house. We received 3 other bids and Vineland's was the second lowest. We chose Vineland because we liked their customer service better than the lowest priced company. On the day the tree was to be removed, the crews showed up on time. Due to the way the ground and snow had frozen we had trouble getting out two fence panels that needed to be removed to get the tree into the backyard (we had agreed upon this early with Seamus). Seamus and his crewed helped us get the panels out even though that wasn't part of the contract. Seamus called us that afternoon to let us know that they had finished the work. He also let us know that they had accidently cracked two planks in our wooden fence (the fence is very close to the tree). He said his crew would get replacement planks of the same type of wood and replace them as soon as possible. When we returned home, we found a very clean yard. There were definitely wood shavings everywhere (which cannot be avoided) but they were mostly contained to the area where the tree was. Two guys from the crew came back the next day to replace broken fence planks. They were very apologetic about them and they even had to chip away at the frozen ground to get the new planks in. In the end the fence looked like nothing had ever happened. We have been very happy with the services from Vineland and will definitely recommend them to all our friends. Seamus was very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with!

We had great results! It worked well, the trees seem to be doing fine.

This is my favorite tree service. They always explain what they are going to do and why. They make sure we are on the same page before they start the work. The trees look so happy when they are finished!

I had used them two or three years ago and they had done a good job so I called them again for the tree trimming work. They seemed to know their stuff and their prices were reasonable. They were here when they said they would be.

Arrived right on time. Proceeded to spend 2 hours totally removing tree. I have never experienced a service contractor who worked so well organized and whose staff appeared to have a complete grasp of how they should proceed. There was a minimal amount of discussion and a maximum amount of production. Our neighbor was also contacted to discuss temporarily.

Vineland used a tall crane, and lifted the tree piece by piece over the house, then cut it up in the street. Good idea, well executed. Tree cleanup was excellent. Stump removal cleanup was not as good, but when I called, they came back, cleaned and did a bit extra to compensate. Estimator was not aware of the 5% senior discount, but honored it without question.

I was very impressed with both the arborist, Amy, and then the crew that actually did the work. They were very knowledgeable and helpful in deciding what needed to be done. I received some information and suggestions about other trees on my property, with no pressure, and lots of free advice. The crew who did the work was very careful with both my trees and themselves, and cleaned up every stick and branch. They arrived on time, after having to reschedule due to rain, and completed the job in the time quoted.

Work was not performed. However, the company was extremely responsive, providing a quote within a couple days of the request.

Pretty well. They did what I asked with the trunk and large limb. They couldn't get their grinder up the hill to the stump so I still have to deal with that.

Called to get an estimate and had one I think the next day. After calling to finally set up the work we got it set up for about the next week, but initially we got rained out.... but they were able to do the work the following Monday morning. The clean-up was great, with the only sign that a tree was ever there was a dirt patch where the stump once was.

Amy (arborist) was absolutely fantastic. I called Vineland and she came out within a day. She was incredibly informative and clearly an expert in her field. She told us about the state of the tree, where it needed to be trimmed and why. In addition, on her own and and without charge, Amy also walked around the property to assess our other trees. None of them required trimming but she nevertheless took the time to tell us about the state of each tree's health and what we may expect down the road (in terms of longevity and things we can do on our own to improve the health of the tree). It was obvious she had a high work ethic. Amy gave us an estimate that same day--Friday--and the work was done the following Tuesday. The workers were very professional and friendly and cleaned up the area well. They even disposed of of a sizable bunch of branches that my husband had trimmed from our lilac bush the weekend before. It took them slightly longer than projected on the estimate but I was not charged anything additional. This is the third time we have trimmed the mulberry since we moved into the house 12 years ago. It is the first time we hired Vineland, and we would do so again in a heartbeat.

Amy arrived at my house on time. She examined my trees and provided me an estimate. This happened in the Spring. Due to my house remodeling, I called back recently to inquire about Ash Borer prevention. Someone other than Amy provided me a quote. Amy was professional, courteous, and on time.

Things went very well. After my message asking for a quote, Jim stopped by within a couple days and took a look at all the trees. We discussed ideas and the quote. I had extra specific questions about a few of the trees, so Jim came back out on the day the work was to be done and went over in detail what items they would be doing. The trees in my yard had not been well pruned in years past, so Jim and his crew had quite a bit of work to do to remove a lot of extra branches, crossover branches, etc. I also have two honey locust trees that I really worried about how they would look after pruning (given their unique branch layout and structure), but Jim took care of those personally and I think they look great. They cleaned up the area very well. I couldn't even tell they were there except for the differences up in the trees.

The entire experience was fabulous. I called and asked for a quote and received one by the next day. A few days later I received a phone called from Seamus Walsh to make sure I received the quote and to see if I had any questions. At that point I gave them the go ahead to do the work. They came by in a matter of days and completed the work. The workers were great guys, considerate of me and my property. After what was a dirty job they did a great job cleaning up too.

Jim Walsh was very easy to work with. He created a quote quickly and made it available via my email account. His crew called and came over to complete the work in an afternoon. Cleanup was excellent and the trimming of the large ash was very well done. The remaining tree looks great and should help with the curb appeal of my property. The work was worth every dollar I spent. I will use this company again when the need arises.

The crew did excellent work. They were in and out in about 3 hours, cleaned up quite well and were very friendly and helpful with questions. It did take a while for them to get back to me via email, if I was to use them again I would only use the phone. Overall I'm very happy with the work they did and their attention to detail.

The tree was cut down and nobody was hurt and no damage done to my house. One minor gripe is that they kindly removed one of my solar lights from its ground stake so it wouldn't get damaged, but I can't find the ground stake to put it back up. They found some baby squirrels in the tree and were going to try to save them. The workers were polite, fast and professional.

It's been a month now, and they never e-mailed me back! In the meantime I've decided to not innoculate, on the advice of another tree service.

From the initial phone call to the visit for the estimate to the actual work being completed, it was a great experience. My expectations were set from the beginning, then met. A lot of tree branches were removed and all of the mess that goes along with that was cleaned up once they were done. My entire front yard is landscaped and the plants and shrubs were all left intact.
