Victory Auto Service & Glass (Fridley)

They are competent and easy and pleasant to deal with. I do some of my own repairs so i know a little bit about cars. They have quoted me A little high a few times but are always reasonable if I point it out. I would definitely give this place a shot. They are heads and shoulders above some of the jokers out there. We go back about 18 months and my family has three cars. 2008,2009 and 2016 models toyota and chevy. So far they have done brakes, wheel and hub assembly and oil changes. All to satisfaction.

Unfortunately the service was not performed well and was severely inadequate because within about two miles of leaving their shop with said repaired vehicle my front driver side tire completely fell off. When I returned to the shop, Dan, the store manager, claimed that they never removed the front tire for the inspection or the repair. Dan claimed that the responsibility fell on another shop who rotated my tires 3 weeks earlier. After sending Victory Auto a complaint letter they reluctantly agreed to put the tire back on at no charge and cover the tow. It took several additional reluctant conversations to get them to fix the fender that was damaged. I picked up my car about a week later, Dan couldn't even look me in the eye when I came into the shop and when he drove my car around to the front. While driving home I noticed that my brake peddle was going further down than normal and that a new noise was now coming from the front of my car when I turned left. I emailed Jason, the general manager for Victory Auto the following morning and we agreed to bring my car to their Brooklyn Park location on Monday to be looked at. I didn't want to wait till Monday and wanted a second opinion so I took it to another shop. The new shop reported that 1) Victory Auto neglected to properly clean corrosion from my caliper brackets (from additional brake work that was done at Victory Auto in November). 2) Victory Auto neglected to bleed rear proportioning valve, resulting in air in the break hydraulic system. 3) Victory Auto neglected to secure the said repaired brake line. Out of 5 brackets that the other brake lines are secured to, the new one that Victory Auto installed was only secured on one of those brackets. I emailed this information to Jason, the general manager as well as some photos showing additional damaged caused by my tire falling off and some molding that their body shop didn't put back onto the frame. Jason's only reply to the other shops comments of Victory Autos carelessness and my photos was that I could return to the body shop to have the molding put on if i'd like.

They were great and I told my husband we would use them again. They were excellent people. They do clean business and they are good people. They are customer oriented and they real care for you.

They were nice and worked with me. They are very easy to work with. The only thing is their price was a little on the high side.

After taking my vehicle to several places over the years I think I found that place where I feel like I am getting straight honest answers and reputable work. Definitely will be back.

The inspection only took 1/2 hour and I received the good news that I didn't need any repairs at this time. I had expected to pay $18.00 but ended up getting the inspection for free! They also have a friendly staff and nice waiting area. Very pleased with their service - I would definitely go there again!

They were very courteous and the heat and car has worked fine since then.

We have had oil changes done at Victory in the past and were pleased with the work. On the day our air conditioner went out we received an email that they had an air conditioner special for $19.99. My husband took the car to his appointment. He was offered a choice of services...the $250 and the $2000. He took the $250 and we had a working air conditioner for less that 24 hours. My husband drove back the following day in a very hot car and was told that they needed to do the $2000 option. We called our gas station who does not work on air conditioners and he recommended a better place. We had a stuck valve and for less than $200 we have been cool on the warmest days this summer. We asked to be removed from Victory's contact list, but continued to receive email and mailings. It took three phone calls to be excluded from any and all future offers. We will not be back.

I thought I needed new brakes on all four wheels - they were making awful sounds (you know - metal on metal). I dropped my car off in the morning, picked up the FREE loner car and left for work. They called me at work and said I only need rear brakes - the front ones would be good for quite a while. You have to love them for not doing the work I requested. They also replaced two burned out license plate lights. The second visit was a few days later - my left headlight burned out. I also asked them to check the right headlight because it was aimed off to the right and down. Well, they replaced the bad light and reinstalled the right light which had been improperly installed by the dealer's mechanics. The staff is friendly and the waitingroom is pleasent.

The work was good. They are conscientious.

It turned out great. They were right on time. They did a good job and completed it in a timely manner.

They did the work. I had some problems, I took it back, and they fixed it. They gave me a loner that didn’t work and I had to get it towed. After they fixed the fuel pump, I filled it up with gas and it smelled. I told them I smelt gas and they said they would take a look at it. After they looked into it they said I wasn’t tightening the gas cap tight enough. My mechanic said there is a tube that goes up to the place where the gas comes down. The gas was coming back from that tube when you fill it. I took the car back twice and they never got it repaired.

We had a good experience. I was impressed with how clean and comfortable the waiting area was. They seemed very courteous and helpful.

They had to redo it. They had to redo it this year. I only put another 500 miles on the car and I had to have it fixed again. They had to jerry rig a part becuase used and new parts were not available for the repair. I like the way they generally do business, but I am unsure if the repair was done correctly the first time. It was my error in not follow up on the second repair.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I was pleased with the no-pressure estimate and that they had a loaner car available.

They were honest and they did a good job. They didn't charge us for anything they didn't need to. I would give them overall an A rating and would use them again.

Everything went well. The service was fast and friendly.
