I was overdue for a transmission fluid change so I figured it was time to make an appointment. I called a few shops and got pricing on their services. They were all about the same so it came down to when they could fit me in. TSI was able to get me in the soonest. The shop was a bit difficult to get to, due to all the road construction, but not impossible. I waited at the shop while they worked on the car. All of the people I met there were professional and friendly. They were faster than estimated and the price was actually a few bucks less than I was quoted. The car runs great and I'm glad I picked these guys. I will definitely go back there next time.

I gave Transmission Shop in Richfield a long list of work I had already done, and parts I had already replaced while previously attempting to repair my transmission myself (I've been working on vehicles for over 40 years). Taking into account all the work I'd previously done on my transmission, it pretty much left installing a rebuilt transmission as the only option to repair it. I was told this repair would cost between $1,800 to $3,000, but they wouldn't be able to nail down the price until they actually worked on the transmission for a while. After a test drive and a hookup to their computer, they charged me $127.40 to give me the estimate. If it cost that much for an estimate (an estimate which didn't tell me anything I didn't already know as far as what was wrong with the transmission), I'm reasonably assuming that they would charge me closer to the $3,000 price to repair it. No thanks.

My vehicle started shifting hard and after ensuring the transmission level was adequate thinking that might have been the source, I decided to make an appointment with TSI after getting referred by an old friend of mine. Before arriving it was thought, by myself and a couple of others, that the most likely cause was a solenoid or two; however, upon scanning for codes a different component was found to be bad.

These guys are quite simply the best!!! From the moment I first called them until the job was complete they were no BS professionals. They are up front and honest and frankly that can be a tough combo to find. When I called them I asked what the cost would be, their price was almost half of what another place tried to rob me of but that is for a different review. THE GUYS AT TSI ARE GREAT. THEY TOOK MY CAR FOR A ROAD TEST TO CHECK THINGS OUT. THEY CAME BACK AND DID MY OIL CHANGE AND REPLACED THE ONE BULB I HAD TO REPLACE AND I WAS OUT OF THERE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS THAT WORK THERE. I HAVE HAD OTHER MAJOR WORK DONE THERE IN THE PAST. MY TRUCK AND CAR ARE ALWAYS DONE ON TIME AND NEVER OVER THE ESTIMATE THEY HAVE QUOTED ME. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL.

I know that in your case after we removed [Member Information Removed] transmission for repair we found that your transmission could not be rebuilt so we needed to replace it. We discussed options with you and went over [Member Information Removed] costs and warranty for each type [Member Information Removed] replacement. As we remember you teetered on installing used or a rebuilt and in [Member Information Removed] end chose [Member Information Removed] rebuilt at a higher cost but much better warranty. I also know [Member Information Removed] cost on this replacement was nearing [Member Information Removed] dealer quoted price however just one [Member Information Removed] benefits is that this unit has a 3 year warranty over [Member Information Removed] dealers unit with a 1 year warranty and we still saved you some money. We hope that you understand when we are faced with units that can't be rebuilt it will force [Member Information Removed] cost up to some degree. Great! They did the job when promised at a fair price. I have been using them for all my vehicle repairs for over 10 years and try to recommend them to friends and co-workers whenever I can. They are straight shooters who evaluate your problems and advise you fully as to yours options. TSI has never recommended any repairs that did not need to be done immediately. They advise you as to other items they find which could wait. They have done everything from replacing my son's engine in his Cobalt with a rebuilt one to replacing tires on our vehicles when needed. A great team.

I have used this shop a few times over the years with positive results - the first time was in 1988 for a transmission repair on my Chevy Suburban, and then again starting in about 2011.
When I dropped off my 2007 Vue in April of 2016, Roger got back to me the next day to give me an estimate. He soon called again to tell me that his estimate was wrong - it was actually about $75 less. I appreciated the honesty! He also mentioned that he noticed that the key stuck in the ignition. I asked if he could repair that too, and he said he would look into it. When he called me back, he told me it was a recall item, and I could have the repair done for free at a dealership. The wheel bearing repair was completed, but I was unable to pick up the car for a couple of days. Roger suggested that he could deliver my car to my home if I could drive him back to the shop. SUPERIOR service!
My son was also pleased with his transmission replacement. The cost was a little less than the previous replacement he had done about 6 months before from someone from Craigslist that went horribly wrong and had no warranty at all. He wished he had started here first! I would highly recommend Transmission Shop Inc/TSI Richfield to anyone looking for professional, reliable and honest service.

I was able to make an appt for the next day to get a lot of work done on my car that we have been holding off on doing. Russ was in constant contact with me on the progress and if any issues came up. The spark plugs were unplanned, however since they were already in there doing the valve cover gasket, it would reduce the cost of labor to replace. As they were in need of replacement, we decided it was a good time to do it. The team always takes such great care of us. I love that they even provide loaner cars for us to take when our car is in their care. I don't have to miss work at all.

We have used the TSI Richfield to work any of our vehicles that we suspect transmission problems. They have always been honest and professional Recently we broke down on the freeway and had our 2005 Saturn VUE towed over 60 miles to have the TSI team work on it (Hi Russ!) . They diagnosed the problem quickly they took the time to explain everything to us and proposed several options for us to choose from. This group of people are honest and professional. I trust them.
