Both Jim and Hannah were so helpful and great to work with. Every day Hannah would let me know where the job was at and everything was on time. I will definitely be going back to TSI when servicing issues are needed.

The clutch and one engine mount on my 2000 VW Passat were replaced.  I originally set up an appointment to have the clutch replaced but after the car was dropped of for repair I received a call shortly after the started working on the car to let me know that one engine mount was bad which I asked them to also replace.  They did excellent work.  The clutch that was replaced works better (much smother) than when the car was new.  EXCELLENT WORK ! ! !

I was considering buying a used SUV so I took it to them to get the drive train checked out.  These guys really know their stuff. They immediatley found problems that would have cost me thousands of dollars to fix.

Dealership didn't know what was wrong, these guys did, and they were much less costly than the dealerships.  They are very knowledgeable and true to their word as well as stand behind their work.

The transmission needed a complete rebuild and they did it for 1/2 the cost quoted by the dealer, in 1/2 the time (3 days), and gave us a loaner car while they did it. Wonderful service and work. We highly recommend them.

Very well. The car was test driven, and recommendations were made. I was told about various possibile expenses that would be determined once the transmission was opened up and interior parts could be inspected. I was pleased with the process and the result.

My 2003 Pontiac Aztec has had this annoying problem for the past four years. In the past, I've brought it into the dealer and they couldn't fix the problem. Then, I brought it to another service provider who couldn't fix the problem and so I lived with it for a few years.
Finally having had enough of my car not shifting gears intermittently, I decided it was time to bring it in again. I was prepared to have a new transmission put in if the problem wasn't found and fixed this time. But to my amazement and relief I didn't need to have it replaced, because the mechanics at TSI are very knowledgeable and skilled!
After discussing our options of car service centers, my husband and I chose TSI because of the location and also because of the great reviews on Angie's List. We weren't let down.
Our experience with TSI was very positive. They kept in contact with us through the tenacious process of diagnosing the car problem. They kept us informed of how much the repairs were expected to cost and there were no surprises when we paid the final bill. We will definitely bring our cars here again for service.

When I called and inquired about a transmission issue Jim said that I could come in at any time and he would take my 2008 Frod Explorer for a quick drive to see what the issue is.  He did exactly that, I arrived later that day and he took it for a short drive.  He brought a handheld computer which hooked up under the dash to my Explorer.  He experienced my issue which would occur when shifting into reverse.  He reset the transmission portion of my vehicles computer and explained that it should sel- adjust to the correct settings.  He told me to drive it for 100 miles and if the problem still persists to return and he could try something else.  He did all of this for not cost!  A dealship would have charged probably 200 dollars and scheduled for two days out.  If I have further transmission issues or if I hear of anyone else having trouble I won't hesitate to recommend Jim and Transmission Shop Inc to them. Great experience and great service!

My interaction with them was good. They were nice, easy to talk to and gave me an honest estimate. I checked another shop too and both of them told me the same thing. We didn?t end up going with the company - we sold the car. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

The clutch pedal in my car was suddenly acting up to the point where it had to be pressed nearly to the floor to engage. I was worried it may be the clutch, but with only 100M on the vehicle and the sudden onset, this didn't seem likely. I scheduled an appointment for service with my usual repair shop, but that morning couldn't even shift the car into gear. I called to explain the situation to them, but they didn't have any good advice for me, and a towing charge was going to be over $100. I checked Angie's List for a closer transmission repair shop, and found the Transmission Shop in Golden Valley. I called and Jim (owner) told me how I could get the vehicle driveable again. I was able to bring my car in that day. The prognosis was a leaking master/slave cylinder and not the clutch (as I'd feared). I was able to get my car fixed that same day. The only reason I didn't also rate "Price" as an A for "Excellent" is I don't know what this repair typically costs. But every aspect of this repair experience was "excellent" for me and I'd return for any other repair work, and I highly recommend the Transmission Shop to anyone.

Jim is a very nice & knowledgeable person. He seems to truly care about his customers. He invited me into the shop to show me & explain the parts in the disassembled transmission & the transfer case that had failed. The project was completed in the estimated time at a competitive price. They also do other repairs; I saw a snow blower & motor scooter that were in for repair. I asked Jim about this & he said "If it uses gasoline we will work on it." I highly recommend Jim's shop. A friend also has used them for transmission work a few times & always has been pleased with the quality of work, the staff & the pricing.
