I just don't like people who are phony about their salesmanship. The guy who came in and gave me the original estimate seemed really honest. He admitted that he was on the verge of retirement so he said at this point he has nothing to prove anymore and he just told us like it was. He got up on our roof and gave us an estimate and it worked for us. When they came to do the job, they had it done in less than 8 hours.

It started out great, the rep at the store set me up with a consult to have the installer come out and measure all my windows, I then picked out which blinds I wanted, paid for them to be cut and installed. I picked them up after they were cut and scheduled installation for 10 days later, the date came and the installer was unable to make it due to illness, which is understandable, it happens, and was told I would hear back in a couple days, I didn't hear anything and so I followed up, they did not have anyone available to come out for at least 2 weeks (and I was having an event the next week. And I had NO window treatments for my whole house this whole time.) I ended up having to take a day off of work and finally got my blinds installed 4 weeks after I purchased them.

Their sales rep made a mistake in the order, so the first countertop was not the one that we thought we had ordered. The people that did the work were very good. They were fast, on time, and did an excellent job. The order was the only mistake.

Good selection of doors and options. We decided not to go with them because they contract out the work and did not have specialists who we could talk to. We will continue shopping there, just not for a garage door this time.

They are really wonderful. They integrate things very well so that the left hand knows what the right is doing. It did end up being a really good experience for us. They had a pretty decent selection of styles of countertops.

Overall we were satisfied with the cabinets. The ordering process was handled professionally. The salesman was very helpful. There was a problem with the installer. As a result, we waited over a month and a half to hear back about our cabinets before calling. When we contacted the salesman about the cabinets, we found that the cabinets had been there about a month. The installer neglected to pick up the order. The salesman asked, at our request, to find a different installer. The new installer had to pick up the cabinets and bring them to our house after he had found out they hadn't been delivered.

It took forever because the person doing the cutting kept getting the size wrong and having to start over with a new box of blinds. She went through several of the boxes on the shelves and had to go look for additional stock, at which point I went off to look at something else in the store. When I returned, she said she'd finally nailed it and handed me a box--at last! But when I got home, the blind inside the box was the wrong color--cream instead of white. I had to take the blind back and the store gave me a mild hassle about it--they said that ready-to-made blinds ordinarily were not returnable and seemed to imply that I must simply be cooking up an excuse to get them to return the product. They did finally take the blind back. But a lot of hassle for nothing!

After I decided on Silestone I went in to order the counter and I spoke with Radhika, who was great. She was very thorough and very helpful and made sure I got exactly what I needed and told me how long it would take and what the next steps would be. I will seek her out the next time I need to do a special order at Home Depot.

Only a mile or so from my home, I've had many occasions to frequent this edition of Home Depot. I've always been impressed with the quality of the people. Specifically, Greg (wicked bad mullet) in plumbing. Great help, eager to pass along accurate advice. Jay in electrical has been able to lead me through a number of thorny wiring problems. We've also had occasion to special order rugs from the store. One set was badly soiled during shipping. Customer server voluntarily express shipped a replacement and credit back 10% of the purchase price for my inconvenience. For a big box retail, its got a local hardware store feel.

We did not feel that the representative was very able to tell us about the different options and he complained frequently during our visit that it used to be easier when they had only one or two granite fabricators, but Home Depot has changed everything so you don't know who you'll get or where you might have to go to choose your stone. Their prices also appeared to be just competitive- but not necessarily better- than more reputable installers. We decided to go elsewhere.

They were terrible, did not call back took me over 45 minutes for them to come to the phone to get the status of my order. Told me they couldn't install due to being an older home they had concerns about possible asbestos. I said all you have to do is tape the edge. They would not do that nor would they give me the measurements - after I spent 1/2 day for the guy to come out and measure plus paid $35. (the whole job would have been between $1500-2000) the customer service was terrible - the manager didn't care. I would not do business with them! The manager chuckled when I said this was going to throw off my project by a minimum of two weeks. They all were extremely unprofessional and didn't give a $#@%#!!! About this at all.

I PURCHASED A STOCK STORM DOOR AND HAD IT INSTALLED THROUGH THE HOME DEPOT. I WAS VERY HAPPY. I TIMED IT WRONG BECAUSE THEY HAD A SALE ON INSTALLATION NOT TOO LONG AFTER I HAD THE DOOR INSTALLED! I WAS HAPPY WITH THE INSTALLATION AND QUALITY OF THE DOOR. I DID CHECK AROUND AND GOT QUOTES FROM OTHER PLACES, AND THE PRICING WAS COMPETITIVE. THE STAFF WAS VERY POLITE AND I HAD A SATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE.
