Carol has been on our "on call" list for a few years now and she's just a fantastic and genuine person. We mostly use her services when we're in a time pinch and need someone to feed and let our dogs out. She's easy to get a hold of, including by text message, which is convenient.
She took the time to come over and get to know the dogs before her first visit and to do a practice walk. She's had a northern breed of her own so she knows exactly how to handle such large dogs. Both dogs love her, too! She also leaves a note about how it went (although I never worry when they are in her care).
She was flexible when we went on a long vacation - my mom was house sitting for us but wasn't used to walking large dogs. Carol came over a couple of times to help her out. I really appreciated that she was willing to do that.
I'd definitely recommend Carol to anyone looking for a dog sitter or dog walker.

Carol is wonderful.  I had a cat sitter for a number of years and moved out of town in October.  I was reading the Angie's List comments and interviewed Carol.  I immediately liked her and both of my cats liked her too.  They let her pet them on the first day!  She leaves me notes and sends me texts on how they are when I'm gone!

I have used Carol for the last 4 years to come play with my 2 dogs, Romo and Lucy.  They are difficult little dogs but they absolutely adored Carol and loved to play in the back yard with her when she came over.  Carol is very responsive, takes a personal interest in my dogs, always leaves an update of how the visits went and above all is incredibly dependable and trustworthy.  I often called Carol last minute because of unplanned travel for work.  She was quick to respond and found time in her busy schedule to make sure Romo and Lucy were taken care of.  Sadly, I just relocated to Cleveland and am starting the search for another Carol!  If I could move her out here, I would :)  I highly recommend using Tails of 2 Cities.

There are business owners and then there is Carol. She is just what I would hope for in my ideal dog walker and pet sitter. It is easy to see that she loves and respects dogs and they love her back. My dog is over the moon every time Carol walks through the door which is an A+ review in itself. She is reliable, professional and keeps you in the loop as to how the time with your dog went via text messaging. This is an example of how she goes above and beyond in her job performance to do something that isn't necessary, but is helpful and reflects the care she takes with your pet. I feel lucky to have found Tails of Two Cities and my Murphy agrees!

Carol takes the time to get to know your dog prior to coming over for an official visit. She put me and my dogs right at ease with her genuine care and love of animals. My Jack Russells don't warm up to everyone but they quickly fell in love with Carol! I would whole-heartedly recommend Carol..she gives me total peace of mind whenever I have to leave my fur babies...her professionalism, flexibility, compassion for animals, and true love for what she does always shines through!

She texted us every couple of days letting us know how are kitties are while we are away. She makes traveling much easier know our kitties are fwd and happy. Even our 14 year old, who is really fussy enjoys Carol"s visits.

Carol is amazing. She has been my dogwalker and petsitter for many years now. She is wonderful, and I don't know what I'd do without her. She walks my dogs twice a day and gives them plenty of TLC while I'm at work. With her medical background, she attends to their health needs and works with me to ensure they remain safe and healthy. She is completely reliable, responsible, responsive and flexible, making it easy to manage arrangements with her. I am amazed at how organized she is given the many client schedules she maintains and how willing she is to work around my work routine whenever possible. My dogs and I adore her.
She has been through a number of transitions with me as my pets have first come into the family, endured health issues with me as they aged and attended to them carefully as they became very frail in their senior years. She worked around vet visits with me, provided medical attention, administered prescription drugs and was immensely patient while one of my dogs could not walk and was going through rehab therapy after having an embolism. She has grieved with me as we have both lost loving pets over the years and celebrated with me when we've added a new pet to the family. There is no possible way I would have been able to manage without her all this time.
I have referred Carol to many friends and colleagues over the years, and as a result of these referrals, others have now come to know and love her as much as we do. She is simply the best.

In in five years we've been working with Carol, I can't recall one situation where we've been disappointed with her work. She is simply that good.  She is professional, dependable, flexible, personable, generous, and our dogs LOVE her. I trust her beyond measure, and can't imagine what we would do without her. 

Carol has been coming to my home for many years.  She is extremely flexible with her schedule and is always trying to accomodate our requests.  She is beyond thorough with her daily updates on the activites of her visits.  I always look forward to her text messages or voice mails about the details.  I feel like she treats my dogs as though they were my children going to school with a report card at the end of the day. 
One day I was with my dogs at a coffee shop and we ran into Carol.  They went nuts when they saw her.  I think they may love her as much as me.  Carol has become an intricate part of our lives.  We could not do the jobs we do and raise 2 dogs without her.  I have recommended her to many.

Terrible that a business would not respond in any manner.

Carol provides excellent pet sitting care, above and beyond many sitters I've used in the past. She was available on short notice to care for my pets. She is prompt, trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated. She gives attention to each pet. She gives detailed updates if you need them while you are away or will give you information when you return. I highly recommend her pet care!

Carol is terrific!  She is very concerned and interested in my dog.  She reports any behavior that is different than normal, is flexible and just a joy to work with.  I highly recommend her.

I phone-interviewed a few cat-sitters to find someone I was confident in and comfortable with. Once I spoke with Carol I knew I'd found the right person. She is very friendly!  She told me about her background, asked all the right questions and made me feel comfortable leaving the cats in her care. (And it was Carol who would visit, not a hired hand that I would never meet--this was important to me.) Each day Carol fed, pet & pilled the cats. She cleaned the litter boxes and brought in the mail. I asked her to text me periodically and she not only gave me updates, but sometimes sent photos of my beloved pets, too. It was clear that she was really invested in making the cats comfortable with her and that this wasn't just a job.  She was totally flexible when I was able to come home a day early.  The cats had obviously been loved while I was gone and this gave me great peace of mind.  Carol is awesome and I will definitely hire her every time I need to leave my pets in someone else's care!

Carole is outstanding! and very affordable for the excellent services she provides. Our pets (dog & cat) greet her at the door and love the extra petting and scratching time she gives each of them so no one is left out. She has worked with our schedules which are often odd hours and difficulty times to get a dog walker to come by. She has flexed to make sure our "kids" have been taken care of.I don't think we could express how much we have loved (and let out a sigh of relief) at finding such a wonderful care taker for our pets. We have already recommended her to 3 other colleagues at work who have been searching for great pet care while at work.

She continues to perform a great service. I continue to think she is the best. She really puts me at ease when I am traveling. She genuinely loves animals. She always leaves a not describing the cute things they did while I was gone. She even told us about a routine that my cats have particulary for her. My cats are very fond of her. She is absolutely wonderful and fabulous. We have even moved further away which is less convenient for her. She still preforms the service regardless of the distance. I have full trust in her abilities. She was a nurse in the past and is knowledgable in handling animals who have special medical needs. I am extremely happy with how she tends to the cats in our basement.

Carol has been cat sitting for us for several years, and being able to depend on her when we leave town is wonderful.  She does a great job looking after our cats, and they clearly love her.  We have two cats, both with their own special needs. 

One of our cats is diabetic and requires twice daily insulin injections given with food.  Carol has experience with other sick pets, which was obvious when she asked several good questions about our cat, his insulin, and where in the house we kept the Karo Syrup in case he started showing signs of hypoglycemia.  Carol takes the responsibility of making sure he gets his medication on time very seriously.  She has made it to our house in the middle of snow storm in January to make sure our cat was safe.  Durring our last trip out of town we had recently switched to a new kind of cat food, and out cat wasn't eating like he used to, so I got a text from Carol to confirm that this was normal and that our cat wasn't sick.  I was very happy that she was watching him closely enough to notice that kind of change in his behavior.  It showed me she spends extra time to observe him to make sure he is healthy and the medication is being administered properly.  

Our other cat is healthy but very scared of strangers.  When Carol started cat sitting for us I told her she probably wouldn't see our timid cat at all.  Carol smiled at this and asked to be shown our cat's hidding places, just so she could make sure our timid cat was safe during her visits.  To my great surprise, within the first couple of days Carol and our timid cat had completely bonded.  I might not have believed it if Carol hadn't emailed me a picture of her giving our cat a nice scratch behind the ears!

Carol also preforms a few extra services when we leave town.  She opens the blinds in the morning, and closes them at night, turns lights on and off, brings in the mail and news paper, and basically makes the house looked lived in. 

We feel very luck to have Carol around when we leave town. She has earned our complete trust, and it makes traveling so much more relaxing knowing our cats and our house are in good hands.

Carol is excellent with animals. She understands their behavior. She walks them very well, and will give you a report of the dog's behavior as she walks with them. My dog loves her, my other dogs have loved her, and I love her too. She does an excellent job and is happy with what she does, and is definitely a good worker.

We first contacted Carol to do regular walks for the dogs (1 lab and 2 pugs) during the workday beginning in April of 2008. It was an odd schedule but she was willing to be flexible, which we've found to always be the case. From the first time she met them, the dogs were in love with her. She connects with them like theyr'e her own. Even the cat, who no one connects with. Since that initial arrangement, Carol has done overnights on numerous occasions, visits with just the cat, various dog walking visits, she's given medications and taken them multiple walks during the same visit because of various health situations with the dogs. She's fantastic, always responsive, always provides prompt reports, always willing to help out on a moment's notice -- she's become a sure and irreplaceable part of our family. We've hired numerous folks to take care of the dogs over 14 years, and without question, she's the best.

Of the three, one of the cats was initially slow to warm to a stranger. However, Carol just patiently waited until she (the cat) felt comfortable and now she enthusiastically plays with her (Carol). Another cat has developed a habit that she only displays to Carol (lying in the sink - presumably because, since we're gone, the sink is dry). When their feeding routine changed from 2 meals to 3 "snacks" a day, I was concerned that we would need to temporarily go back to 2 meals, but Carol was able to arrange her schedule to accommodate this. When we get home, there is always a long note on the counter, recounting her time with the cats, including comments about little things that show she is aware of their individual personalities.

I called Carol last minute to come over and let both of my dogs out because I was stuck out of town. My dogs are not the best walkers yet so I have Carol let my dogs out rather than walking them. She doesn't just let them out, she makes sure to give them 30 minutes of play time so they get some energy out. When I go out of town, Carol makes sure they get fed properly and does everything she can to make me feel comfortable about leaving the dogs at home. Very reliable and great with the dogs. She truly understands what it's like to own pets (as she has pets of her own) and cares for yours like it's one of her own.

Our experience has been excellent and extremely reliable. We don't worry about our dog during the day and know she is in good hands.
