T SCHAUB PAINTING

Tim and his crew reglazed and painted original porch windows on 3 season porch of our 85 year old south Minneapolis home. They carefully removed old aluminum storms and replaced them when finished. Job was a bit more involved and took a bit longer than anticipated but price was fair and the work, while not perfect (paint drips that they said could not be avoided and a stain in the driveway from cleaning brushes) was a vast improvement and will add years to these old windows. Easy guys to work with and generally tidy.

Tim did a great job with the painting and was able to work around the chaos of boxes and furniture that inevitably occurs at move in. He kept things clean as he worked. Tim was pleasant, trustworthy and did NOT stand around chatting as is the case with some service providers. He is truly a professional service provider.

I was thrilled with the work. Tim and his team were on time and on budget and they did a fantastic job. Tim was very responsive and easy to work with. I was glad to have someone with tim’s experience do the job as it involved some complexities and needed to be done on time.

It went really well, and I would recommend them for someone looking for a local painting company. They came in lower than the 2 other bids we received.

It went very well.  Tim was very professional and completed the work in a timely manner.  He was very neat and paid close attention to detail, leaving everything looking beautiful.  He made our basement office space and basement stairs and stairwell sparkle like new for sure.  We would definitely ask him to do more work in our home.

Tim  did an outstanding job for what I feel was a very fair price, left the job site super-clean each day, delivered the work when he said he would and was great to work with. The work on the stairs was particularly amazing.  We had planned to cover the stairs with a runner but the paint job looks so good we've decided on carpet treads instead -- to show off the paint job. Visitors to the house who have seen the stairs have said that they would never have believed that those steps could look so good. We are very, very happy with Tim and with this job in all respects.

The project took longer than expected, partially due to rainy weather and partially due to short work days. In general, we were satisfied with the quality of the work, the exception being some of the trim on the interior of the windows. At the time of the estimate, he assured us that he could eliminate the light areas on the trim from previous blind brackets. However, that didn't happen. There was likely a communication breakdown, since we didn't restate our concern when he arrived to do the work, which was over a month after the estimate. On the plus side, Tim did a good job of trying to match the stain to the existing woodwork in the house.

The quality was very good. I am very happy with the work they did which is why they are doing more for me. The only issue I ever had with them was they were a little slow. What stands out the most about their work is the price and attention to detail. The workers are fine; they are good. I would recommend this person.

Tim is excellent at what he does, except for a few problems with punctuality. He explains all details thoroughly. Everything was finished by the deadline. I would certainly recommend Tim Schaub's services. 

Tim and his crew were able to squeeze me in before it got cold last Fall.  It took them 4 or 5 days to finish and it was a lot of detailed window trim, and soffit and fascia wor on a 2 story duplexk.  They did a very nice job and everything we contracted for.

I collected three bids for this job and found them all comparable.  However, I felt right away that Tim Schaub was the person I wanted to do the work.  He showed up when he said he would, presented himself like someone who had practical knowledge instead of just a "one size fits all" sales pitch, and completed the estimate in a timely manner.  He communicated well with me; he didn't talk down to me because I wasn't a painting expert or because I was a woman.  He understood the challenges of working on an old house and seemed to have both the expertise and the resources to make sure the work was done correctly.
Now that the house has been painted, I can tell you that going with Tim was hands-down the best contractor decision I've made in twelve years of owning homes.  His communication continued to be excellent.  He had solid advice about paint and stain, which I needed.  He works with a tight-knit crew of friendly guys who also know their stuff.  When he had more than one job going, he still stopped by to make sure everything was being done the right way.  At times he was still working long after he had given his crew the OK to go home.  He even showed up on a Saturday to take care of some details.  My house looks GREAT, better than I thought it could look, and though he went above and beyond in service, he came out under budget!

Tim and his crew removed my combination storm/screens and painted my house trim and window sashes and then replaced the combination storm/screens.  I had decided to change the color of my trim.  They did a nice job and were able to paint the new color over my pre-painted aluminum wrapped soffit and fascia.  They also did some carpentry to replace/repair some areas that had rotting wood.  They also painted my garage trim.  It looks great and they did it all in just 3-4 days.  I would certainly use them again and would recommend them to friends.

Tim and his crew painted our basement walls and wood trim as part of a basement remodel. The walls were already primed, so they sanded the walls (removes any fuzz from the sheetrock paper the gets raised by primer) and painted two coats of top coat. They also caulked primed and enameled our baseboard and door trim (our baseboard is 9" and trim is "4, so very large), as well as wainscoting in bath. Everything looked great! The enamel turned out very nice... smooth which was important to me (don't like brush marks). Tim's crew was very careful and clean. Good work! Would use again and I am pretty hard to please!

Tim also sanded and painted 5 radiators and pipes coming up
with a custom metallic color which exactly matched the original color of the
painted radiators. We were extremely pleased.

Tim Did a great Job. It took 4 days to paint the main floor of the house and he and a assistant did a great job. They bought the paint and the materials and cleaned up as they went and when they left. Very personable and nice guys. I will definitely have Tim back to paint the outside of my house and more inside projects.

I originally needed some trim and walls painted, but the job morphed into painting almost all of my trim and most of my doors in my house, along with stair risers. I live in an old house and all of the wood is painted white. The paint was starting to peel as the original painter didn't prime before painting. Tim did a fantastic job of prepping and painting everything. He graciously agreed to add on more work than I originally had needed him to do, and worked me into his busy schedule. I would definitely use him again in the future, and I highly recommend him.

Tim is amazing. Our radiators are beautiful! He is a wonderful person to work with, and have come into your home. I highly recommend him!

This paint job was for a condo that my father recently purchased.  It was in need of a paint job prior to moving in.  Tim was very accommodating to our time frame. He even worked late, the day of closing, to finish the job.  Good quality paint job at price below other bids.
