Our son went to SSV for over four years, from toddler to preschool. We had a wonderful experience with the center. The staff truly loves the children. The center provides a warm, caring environment with a balance of education and social development plus some activities for just plain old fun. Our son enjoyed the on and offsite field trips to the zoo, parks, apple orchard, and more plus the arts and crafts, learning times, and music and computer classes. The center was also very focused on the families and the community encouraging volunteering and hosting evening and weekend events including participation in the annual city parade, family picnics and movie nights, breakfast with Santa, art shows of the children's work, semi annual music programs, and so much more. The price is reasonable and with the center being a nonprofit you know the focus is on the children and not on making a dollar We can't say enough good things about SSV and have recommended the center to anyone looking for child care in the area.

My 23-month-old has been going to Sunshine Valley Childcare for the past month and we love it. The teachers are great and very engaged and he's always happy when we drop him off and pick him up. We had been sending him to another daycare and were just not happy with the level of parent and teacher engagement there. I'm so glad we made the switch to Sunshine Valley. There's a curriculum that the toddler and preschool teachers follow so learning is integrated across all ages. In addition to being walking distance to two park, Sunshine Valley also has a great new, fenced-in playground. Overall, we've very happy at Sunshine Valley. I've been impressed with the teachers and the directors (who have both been there 15-20+ years, I believe). I would highly recommend sending your toddler or preschooler to Sunshine Valley.

My daughter, a toddler, has been at Sunshine Valley for almost two months now, and I can't say enough how happy I am that I decided on this day care. All of the staff are nurturing and loving -- children are really treated kindly. I love how many projects and theme weeks and activities they're always doing, too. When I was a stay-at-home mom, I was always running out of ideas ... I really think my daughter is getting better stimulation at day care than I provided when we were home together, without a doubt. (Fridays is music class! Yesterday they did art with dyeing whip cream!) The first couple of weeks at day care are tough in the mornings -- your child bawls and you get into your car and go to work crying, too. But for quite some time now, my daughter literally RUNS to her room at Sunshine Valley in the mornings! :) She loves it there, and that makes me so happy and relieved.
This child care center is very clean, organized, bright and sunny, and well-run. All the teachers are very communicative and seem to have an excellent grasp of child development. The two directors at Sunshine Valley have been doing this for decades and are very wise about children, very sweet women. If a child is having a tough day, I've seen the directors snuggling that child and rocking them.

Our daughter has been attending Sunshine Valley Childcare for over one year, and we are thrilled with the center! All the teachers are dedicated, caring professionals, that make our child's day fun and educational. Each month they have an activity, like the museum, zoo- and during the coldest months they have week long activities to keep the kids active and excited about 'school'. My daughter has attended other daycare centers, but this is the first one where she comes home each night excited to tell us about her day. I highly recommend this preschool to any parent.
