Replaced an old retaining wall that ran the entire length of my property in South Minneapolis. They had to work in a tight space. They were great with my neighbors and did an amazing job. Also had them replace all the grass in my yard with new sod and replace plastic edging with stone. Very professional staff who clearly care about doing a high quality job.

This is the 2nd time we've had Stone Arch out to do landscaping for us. The first time, we were recent first time home owners and had a small budget for a paver patio. Now a few years later, we had a larger budget to really do what we wanted to the yard. Brett came out to talk with us in late winter to get a general idea of what we had in mind. He was GREAT at listening to our ideas and asking a few questions to make sure he understood what we wanted and what purpose we were trying to serve. Then after having a clear understanding, offering his thoughts and/or suggestions, he sent us a rough diagram and estimate. We looked it over and had a few more ideas when he came back in early spring. He was very accommodating to our questions, indecisiveness, and new ideas. One of the things I appreciate most about Stone Arch is that the guys who do the work all take ownership in what they do. Brett, Tony, and Charlie are the same guys who came out to do our first patio, and they all were back to work on our most recent project. Tony is extremely knowledgeable about Trees/Plants/Shrubs/Grass and Charlie is very detail oriented. I like this company structure as opposed to a sales guy to bid the job and a foreman of some kind, along with some grunts who do the work. We had a lot of traffic come to our backyard from curious neighbors and they were all very impressed. We highly recommend Stone Arch Landscapes to all of them, and all of you!

I hired this firm on the basis of other Angie's List members, and it was an excellent choice. We had a very small space to work with and I wanted it to be appealing. Brett offered creative design suggestions on the shape and layout of the patio and walkway that make the space inviting and very attractive, and the crew did the work in record time. They ensured my complete satisfaction when I had questions and additional ideas as they worked. The entire area was left pristine at the end of every workday. I would highly recommend this company.

It went fantastic! Seriously, don't look any further! Hire these guys! I interviewed over 10 landscape companies to provide this work. These guys shined right from the very start of the quote/design and continued to the very last finishing touches of the yard. Tony worked within my budget and gave me a wonderful yard to call my new outdoor oasis. They took care of everything, stayed in the timeline and his employees were the nicest I've ever met. This is the REAL DEAL! I will use them again and refer them to everyone I know.

Brett and company started the prep work for this project last year in the fall.  We ran out of time, so he reserved a spot on the early spring calendar for me.  We discussed the scope of what I wanted done, and he came up with a plan and an estimate within the time he promised.  His crew arrived on time and worked hard to get the walls and waterfalls built.  Tony and I devised the plants list and got them planted quickly.  I also added a dwarf Blue Spruce with surrounding pavers to the back yard.  

Crews arrived punctually each day, and Brett's communication with me was excellent.  The project was finished quickly.  All debris was cleaned up.  
I love the effect in the front yard with the waterfalls, stone, and plants, as it complements the stucco and tile.
I will use Brett and his company again next year to do two small projects in yard.

The end result is a remarkable change to the appearance and street appeal of the home while improving drainage.  He and his crew are professional, easy to work with and a grat choice.  I was so impressed I asked him to return to re-do large flower beds and plants later in the spring.

I received a prompt response when I called for an appointment to view the project area.  Brett was punctual and professional.  We discussed what I wanted, and he took pictures of the area.  He had a proposal to me within the week.  
We exchanged emails about the scope of the project and what should be done before winter and what should be postponed until the spring.  Brett provided me with links to various products so that I could see colors available.  We decided on what would be done now, and he scheduled a date for the project.  
Brett was able to move the date up earlier, and his crew arrived on time with all necessary equipment and supplies.  Under Brett's supervision, the project was completed in a very timely manner.  I was consulted about various details, and no decisions were made until they talked to me. 
I am delighted with the area being all "buttoned up" for the winter, and I will be more than ready to complete the project in the spring.  I look forward to working with Brett and his crew on the next phase.

Work was completed in four days and the site was very clean every night when they left.  Communication was good and they met all the stated start and finish deadlines.  It looks great!  We are really pleased and would highly recommend Stone Arch.

Brett and his crew did a phenomenal job, from start to finish.  Brett responded right away to our call for an estimate and came right out to the house - took measurements and pictures and listened to all the ideas we had.  Within a day or two, we had our estimate along with some ideas he had for the project.  His input was both fresh and insightful and keyed in on exactly what we were looking for.  On the first day of the project, (and every day thereafter!) he and his crew showed up on time - a huge plus in our book!  We were impressed with their hard work and how much they accomplished each day.  Each evening they would clean up before leaving and you could hardly tell we were having any work done.  Brett was also quick to answer all questions my husband emailed him during the project.  The communication was fantastic.  They finished the job in the time period quoted, even working in the rain to make sure that happened.  We will recommend them to anyone we know who is looking for landscape/hard-scape work and would definitely hire them again for any projects we may have in the future.  A pleasure to work with!

These guys are magical!! Beautifully engaged and skilled crew working fast, reasonably priced and with personal care in workmanship. Exceptional responsive to creative problem solving and collaboration. Impressive and honest response to correction of an error in construction that was costly to the crew, not the client. Did much work beyond the scope of the contract with very clear and fair billing practice. Real professionals!!! Will gladly make reasons to give these guys work.

The Stone Arch team was extremely professional and responsive.  We had some challenges scheduling around the weather and a fencing contractor, and they worked very hard to achieve the necessary deadlines.  The whole team was also very friendly and good at listening to our questions and concerns.  Their attention to quality work and thoughtful design was also excellent.

Stone Arch owners Brett and Tony came out as soon as enough snow was gone to see the ground. We told them a few ideas we had and they gave us a few ideas as well. Some of the ideas we had were more of a need, like a patio to cover the muddy area where the deck stood. We also asked them to give us a separate estimate for future wants such a potential bonfire area off the main patio as well as a hot tub pad. They measured the space and we all came inside out of the cold to discuss details. They did a great job guiding our decisions, they made suggestions and based on our reactions were able to help find the design and paver we loved. We settled on a mid priced cobble style paver which matched the style of our 30+ year old home.
A couple days later, they e-mailed a rough visual design as well as detailed estimates. As we requested, they separated the project into 3 estimates, one for the patio, one for the bonfire area, one for the hot tub pad. The thing I appreciated the most from their estimates was the way they separated the costs. Every other estimate we got was just a one line price for the whole job. Stone Arch separated it so I knew the pavers cost, underlayment cost, labor cost etc. I'm happy to pay a fair price and I felt good knowing they weren't trying to hide anything in their pricing estimate.
After the snow melted and the week of near constant rain stopped, the crew came out to prepare the area on a Friday. They got the area dug out and had everything ready for the base and pavers to be installed on Monday. On Saturday my husband and I were out in the backyard and on one edge of the future patio we had about a two foot wide section of landscape rock before the grass started. We discussed the idea of keeping the rock, I didn't really think about it until then but I didn't want the kids or I to have to step barefoot on rocks to get to the grass. We called Brett in stereo-typically indecisive homeowner fashion to ask if it would be possible to make the patio two feet wider. He that would be just fine. He didn't sigh or say and quot;hmmmand quot; or anything to make it sound like it would be a big burden. It cost a bit more but now I wont say to myself and quot;I wish we would haveand quot; every time I go out onto the patio. The guys came back Monday morning as promised and worked a very long day to finish the entire patio. It looks amazing! Everything lines up perfect to make it look like a great professionally done patio.
The entire experience we had with Stone Arch was terrific. They were great about communicating with us through email. They delivered exactly what they said they would and then some. They were hard, experienced, efficient workers. They kept the site as clean and orderly as one could expect a landscaping site to be, and they cleaned everything up after they were finished. The really exceeded our expectations! We will definitely use them for our future landscaping projects and highly recommend them to friends, family, and Angie's listers without hesitation.
**As a side note, they know a ton about lawns and grass. If you have bare spots, they'll probably tell you the name of some kind of obscure sounding seed name you hope you never hear your doctor say. Ours is and quot;Creeping Red Fescue.and quot;

We were really happy with Stone Arch Landscapes. They bid the jobs quickly, showed up on time and finished on time. Everyone who sees our stonework and landscape beds asks who did the work.
It is hard to find a landscape company that is run by two people with landscape degrees that understand not only the design, but the actual plants and how to work with natural stone (we had them do a dry stack stone wall and also a stone wall with concrete).
We have a cottage on Lake Minnetonka that was built in 1920, and we wanted the design to look and quot;cottage-yand quot; and like something that had been there for years. They designed our plan on the computer, and then emailed us the designs, so it was easy to go back and forth with changes. Everyone who comes to the lake thinks that the stone walls, pillars and arches are original to the property which is exactly what we were hoping for.
Their prices were very reasonable compared to other bids we received.
I also liked the fact that when I felt that they didn't clean up as well as I had expected (to be fair, I am a perfectionist), they came back the next day (on a Saturday!) and made sure that everything was as clean as I wanted it to be.
I would definitely recommend them!
