A project that should have taken about 2 weeks, went on for approximately 5 mos. We felt as though we had been taken advantage of.

Steve was not the lowest bid we received but we chose to go with Steve because we felt comfortable with him.   He listen to what we wanted and worked with us to stay in budget.  He also kept us current and involved with every stage of the project.   Steve made sure that we were happy with the result.   We were so pleased with Steve and his crew that we immediately hired him for another project.   We definitely will hire Steve for future projects.

As with others who left feedback, Steve is great to work with. Once you start working with him, you understand he is focused on one thing - getting the job done, the right way for a fair price.  

A few weeks after the work was completed, I had a question about the wood he installed as were gathering painting estimates. Not only did he gladly answered my questions, he probably saved us a LOT of money on painting. 

After getting a few  bids, we chose Steve because he has great construction knowledge and he immediately researched for previous permits from when the deck was built. We are second owners of this home and the deck was put in by the previous homeowner. My husband really liked Steve's diligence and this added to our trust that the job would be done right. Additionally, Steve has great ratings on Angie's list.  After this last very cold and wet winter, some of the footings on our deck cracked and heaved up out of the ground. This caused some deck posts to be up in the air and shifted the weight of the deck to one post. It looked like the deck was going to split in two and the stairway was extremely crooked.  The back of the house has daylight windows, so the deck isn't as high as it would be if we had a walk out basement. You cannot stand at full height under the deck which makes working under it harder. Half the deck wraps around the side of the house where the yard has a slope. At that point there is very little clearance under the deck. The crew showed up on time and as promised. They exceeded our strict city code requirements and Steve kept us up to date on what he found out after researching the permits and talking to the city. The job was completed in about 4 days and the deck looks perfectly flat. I honestly didn't think they could get it back to the way it looked before. It was amazing how much the wood was bending under the stress. Steve took care to protect our lawn with a wooden walkway and there is minimal damage. Everything was done efficiently and effectively. What a great crew. We will highly recommend Steve if any of our neighbors or friends need deck work. 

I got called three contractors, got two estimates, and decided to go with the less expensive of the two (both Angie's list contractors who both seemed very good). I had one unreturned voicemail from Steve Schnedeker and when he called again and offered to give me one more estimate I met him at the house and he offered a better price than the other two. He was very friendly and professional so I accepted his proposal and his crew started a couple days later. They worked quickly, did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again.

It was nice because Steve went out of his way to call the city that I live in. He got valuable information on the footings for the deck. I really appreciated that. Overall, very nice guy.

I called Steve and he came out within a day and explained what could be done without having to tear down the entire porch. Steve delivered all of the equipment and they spent two fuIl two days to complete the work. I wasn't here all the time and when I came home and had to ask questions they were answered for me. Steve and his crew were very professional, willing to answer any questions I had, and cleaned up very nicely.

Steve was very prompt, professional and helpful during the entire process. He checked in with me regarding color and material choices and helped me to make informed decisions. His crew was professional, efficient and courteous. They transformed a garage that was literally falling apart to one that looks great and will be maintainance free for years to come.

Steve did a good job of keeping me informed as to what would be done and when. I am very pleased with the final result.

Steve Snedeker Construction is able to handle a variety of projects. He has the equipment to do the job and his staff, Mike and Todd know what they are doing and take pride in doing the job right. The quality of work is exceptional throughout the project from tear out to the final bead of caulk. Steve and his workers demonstrated that they can work cooperatively with our homeowners, minimizing the disruption carpentry projects can create, and he cleans up promptly after each project. I definitely recommend Steve Snedeker Construction.

This went well from start to finish. We had talked to other contractors, but none of them were as knowledgeable as Steve. He mentioned things about the grade of our yard, and other things that nobody else even thought about. Steve gave us ideas as well. We didn't know what we wanted and he presented us different scenarios to choose from. Steve is not the 'typical' contractor that you find out there these days; he was always available, prompt, courteous, thorough, and meticulous. It is so obvious to us that he and his carpenter Mike truly love and take pride in their work. Both Steve and Mike were a pleasure to be around, making this whole process a positive experience!

They had it in and done within a week from when we called them. They were very respectful about being around my home and yard and I would recommend them and use them again.

Steve's team did things by the book with obtaining permits and keeping us in the loop. The team arrived on Monday (Memorial Day) and started work, and worked and worked. They put in about 11 hour days and finished our deck in a week, far exceeding our expectations and the time they quoted us. As well, the cost was what Steve quoted us. The only suprises on this job were good ones! We look forward to working with Steve again on our many, yet-to-be tackled projects.

Steve was very easy to deal with and very flexible on the amount of finish work we wanted him to do. He was helpful in planning the project. Steve and his crew did excellent work and took care of all details. The job was done efficiently and with excellent workmanship. It's a small company and the same guys were on the job site each day. I completed detailed design and submitted to 5 contractors. Bids were between $38 and $54k. Steve's references, quality of other jobs and personal contact convinced me that his low-bid would be an outstanding value. The job was done as specified; promptly and with outstanding quality. His crew was professional in all regards: craftsmanship, work ethic, clean-up each day, communication (particularly pointing out alternatives which could be considered before completing work) and courtesy. Finishing work was outstanding. Job completed on time and at the bid price, with Steve overseeing all aspects including permits and building inspections. I consider myself very fortunate to have selected Snedeker Construction. This is my 7th home, and they're the best deck and porch contractor I've ever used. Simply put: Outstanding value!

Steve's team was very dedicated and thorough. They worked in extreme heat for 10 days, and still insisted on removing concrete stairs and digging very deep foundation holes in order to properly build the deck. We had previously considered building the deck ourselves. After seeing all of the preparation, work and skill that went into this, we could never have even come close to the beautiful and professional job that Steve's team did. I now know that the financial investment was well worth the result. Steve was great to work with. He is calm and thorough and promptly returns calls. This was our first major improvement to our home. We count ourselves very lucky to have found the Angie's list reference for Steve, and we will likely choose Steve Snedeker Construction for any future project. We are very happy with the low maintenance, color and texture of the Trex material.

The workmen were very courteous, pleasant, dependable. Steve always returned phone calls promptly & let me know what would be happening. Very professional. Excellent. So glad I found this company through Angie's List. I wouldn't have encountered them normally on my own. This experience reinforced my joining Angie's List. Thank you so much.
