Ed came and evaluated the situation. It needed dutching and extensive calibration, but we finally got the result we needed, and the door closes and latches again. Ed was very sweet and accommodating, and while the job took longer than he had anticipated, he was good natured throughout. I feel confident calling him for future projects.

We have ice dam buildup even in mild years due to a finished attic. After having roofing contractors suggest different roofing and interior options, we consulted with Ed as he had done high quality interior work for us before. He is well aware of the intricacies of older homes and is a problem-solver. After going over various options and offering others, we finally decided to try heat tapes in a very limited way. This left us able to use a snow rake to remove snow. We were looking for an alternative to replacing the roof at this time.
