We had removed a silver maple from the center of our deck and Kurt did a great job covering the hole and blending the repair in with the existing deck. Completed the job in a timely fashion. Would highly recommend to others.

Our deck needs diagonal bracing according to the inspection report. Kurt was able to come over quickly to look at the deck and gave us a quote. The inspector suggested knee bracing but after Kurt looked at what we have, he suggested adding the diagonal bracing underneath the deck instead for several reasons. He was very patient in explaining the details. He was able to complete the job the next day and we are very satisfied with what he did. Kurt is very professional and we will hire him again.

I was in a hurry to get the deck the supports replaced, they were old and were not up to current codes. Kurt thoroughly examined the deck and supports. To my surprise one of the supports was totally rotten and wasn't supporting anything. Kurt was very honest with his availability. Because I was impressed with Kurt I waited until he was free and was not disappointed. The job was completed in a day. I don't recall the cost but it was very reasonable.

Kurt came out quickly to give an estimate, and answered some questions we had. He's easy to talk to and asked the right questions to be sure of what needed to be removed and what left for our future plans. Then despite the weather he was able to come back within a couple days to remove the deck and its footings. It was a large job, about 400 square feet with metal railings, but it only took a couple days - Kurt did it all himself. He cleaned up each day and came back at the end with a metal detector to make sure all the nails were picked up. He's easy-going and pays attention to all the details, and we'd happily hire him again.

Curt advised me on the right wood choice to make and how it would affect initial installation cost and longevity. His advice was taken, and I couldn't be happier. Two small hiccups in the quality of two boards were cheerfully and professionally resolved. The deck is stronger than the original, handsome and very functional. All the work was professional and it turned out better than I hoped when I originally determined to replace the deck. Of all the positives, I would say that once Curt, the company owner, started the deck, he kept with it and didn't "disappear" for days, leaving the deck's completion to languish over several weeks. It was completed on the agreed upon schedule.

Curt provided a reasonable price for removing and replacing two support posts on my front porch.  The posts had pulled away from the roof on the top as they were sinking at the bottom.  He was the only one of the bidders that verified that the bottom posts were rotting.  The others just speculated that the posts were rotting.  He also had prior experience replacing and repairing support posts like these in addition to deck building experience.  Curt replaced the rotting cedar posts with more durable treated wood. The work was done in a timely manner. I am pleased with the results and would recommend Curt and SilverSaw to others. 

Two non functional built in entertainment centers for old style TVs needed redesign  to fit new style 50 inch plus wide screens and various internet pieces and wired connections. This meant carefully removing custom shelves, fixing trim, staining to match (cherry), without damaging the surrounding house interior trim and walls. Kurt was excellent.  He carefully discussed and planned the redesign and build with us to ensure it was what we wanted. He used as much of the old wood structure as possible so that the staining was correct and new staining was at a minimum.  Very little in the way of new materials were necessary and as a result the total cost of redoing  our TWO  obsolete entertainment was very reasonable. It took two days on and off --because the precision woodworking was done at his shop not in our house.  Kurt was very respectful, quiet and neat as a pin. The craftsmanship was excellent. We would not hesitate to use him again.

I explained to Kurt how I wanted our front porch to look. He made suggestions for quality materials that would provide the look that I wanted.  I appreciated this because I had been to Home Depot, Menards, and Lowes in advance to get some ideas, but I could not find what I was looking for in those stores.  Instead, Kurt ordered the exact right product!  Our front porch looks great!  He's very pleasant, honest, and trustworthy, in addition to being very detail oriented.

Kurt was really good at what he did. He was a little slow but did a great job for our deck. He also made sure the site get cleaned up at the end of each day. We were very happy for our beautiful new deck! We will definitely recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Before starting this project I received three different bids, and I'm really pleased that I went with SilverSaw.  During the initial meeting Kurt came across as ethical and professional, and that continued through the entire project.  Kurt exchanged much of the wood that was delivered and said that if he wouldn't put it in his own deck, it wouldn't go in my deck either.  Kurt is pleasant and easy to work with.  He's very knowledgeable about decking materials and the local construction codes.  His attention to detail is excellent.  Also, the work area was picked up at the end of each day. My new deck looks fantastic.  I highly recommend him.  

Through out the entire experience Kurt was constantly ensuring I understood exactly what he was doing and why.  When the materials were delivered they were not up to his standards and he had them returned and picked out the high quality ones he is known for rather than accept second rate.  I am very happy with the work he did, would not hesitate to use his services again, and highly recommend him.

We met with Kurt, discussed what repairs were needed and came up with a construction plan. Although he was busy and booked with other customers, Kurt was right on time with our preapproved schedule. He was very helpful with updates and advice on what was necessary for a quality result. He finished on schedule and right on estimated budget. Pleasant, knowledgeable, and very professional, we would not hesitate to use Silver Saw for any future project.

He was prompt and courteous and stuck with his price.  His work was high quality and he did what I asked him to do without trying to upsell me or convince me to do something I could not.  I wanted high quality railings replaced on an aged deck with rodent damage.  He pointed out-very professionally-that I would need to replace the deck in 3-4 years, but understood that was a non-starter as I was selling the home this year.

Terrific experience.  I met with Kurt in late February to talk with him about removing the deck and shed.  When the shed was removed, a hole would be left in the fence, so we also discussed options on a temporary fix to plug the hole.  Kurt was professional and answered my questions as best as possible -- some were not answerable at the time as he needed to actually be able to see how the deck was attached to the house.

We arranged the work to be on Thursday, April 2 (weather permitting).  Kurt came within the time window he had scheduled.  Originally, I had suggested that he put the trailer on the lawn, but that day he said no as the ground was too soft.  I appreciated his extra care for my lawn.

When he finished removing the deck, he showed me how it had been attached to the house (by a board) and advised me to leave the board.  It could be used to attach a new deck if that is the direction I choose to go.  He would have removed it if I wished, but I agreed with him that it should be left attached.  There were some protruding nails, which he removed so that there would be no injuries if bumped against.

Work was completed in less than the estimated time frame.  Temporary fence fix was exactly what I needed.  He left no trash or mess on my property.  Throughout, he was patient with my questions and professional.  If I decide to go with a deck, he'll be the one I call to do the work.
