Shipshape Interior Painting
About us
Shipshape Interior Painting is owned and operated by a fourth-generation painter with over 30 years experience. Prior to 2018, we worked as Banner Home Painting, but have shifted our focus to exclusively doing top-notch interior work. We aren't going to be the cheapest guys out there, but we want to be the best you can get for a reasonable price. The majority of our work is residential interior redo, with an increasing amount of subcontracting on residential remodel jobs. Terms for work include a signed contract and 1/3 to 1/2 advance payment at the start of the job, with the final payment due immediately upon completion of the job. Costs are based on individual free estimates. Any overages are approved by customer in advance--no surprise extra charges.

A word about the house he painted for us- it's an architect's gut rehab (circa 1985)of an 1892 historic house. Almost every surface of the house is custom milled woodwork, there is very little drywall, there is an incredible amount of detailed trim, think "Urban Farmhouse". 2-story vaulted ceilings, the works. The original paint was an incredibly tough oil based enamel, unfortunately for us it was in purple, salmon, puce, and half a dozen other colors.
Anyway, the whole crew did an incredible job- the amount of detail work and accuracy of fine lines on the trim really shows an artistic sensibility that could only come from pride in the work, even in the spots where nobody is really going to see. The spraying done by Sean looks great!
Also Bryan put our minds at ease with a solid warranty, standing behind the work.
Bottom line- Complicated job, excellent quality work, reasonable price. We are hoping to hire them again for the exterior.
I thought with the deal I would just get the bedroom done but he said he could also paint the kitchen. He told me to pick out a color for the bedroom and he took a paint sample from the kitchen to match what I had. He told me he would bring the paint and estimated the cost for the materials.
He came on the day and time we arranged with another man. They were nice and professional and did a great job repairing nail holes etc. There were some holes where a gate had been. The holes needed to be filled and the filler needed to dry before painting. Bradley arranged to come a few days later to finish the job and also offered to re-hang a heavy framed print.
The job is now finished, the print looks great on the freshly painted wall, and I am an enthusiastic customer.
I recommend this company without any reservations.
We used good quality paint from Benjamin Moore Historical Colors. The painting took longer than Bryan anticipated. I think the crown molding was probably the issue, but he did not charge any additional.
Everything turned out BEAUTIFUL! The painting is truly professional and we are so happy, we asked Bryan to give us a quote for additional painting.
You can be sure that you will receive a great service from Banner Home Painting!
