Called to ask about level 2 EV charging station install, and Jim was very knowledgeable, helped me decide on specific course of action and helped me understand the process. Made appointment seamlessly too. On the install day, they had a truck break down - MY installer truck. They scrambled to get a replacement team latish on a Friday afternoon, so I was very pleased since I had taken the day off to be there for the install. The actual work was done professionally and quickly. HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE

The employees are great. The owner is a jerk. Scheduled the installation of a EV hookup. Sent in all the requested information including numerous photos and as-built blue print. Was supposed to receive a quote, never got one. Scheduled visit well in advanced. Was promised first job out. Waited and waited. Finally called them at 10:00 am. was told they were in a meeting and they would be right out. Didn't come until after lunch. Thanks a lot. The electrician employee was great. Explained things but needed to wait for his boss the owner. Owner came. Wasn't impressed. Work finally done and handed a bill for $1,600. Oh well, at least it was done. Weeks later we had a circuit go out. Didn't know if it was related to the previous work or not. Left a message with Sherman. Received a call the next day from the good employee. Talked it through. Seemed very unlikely to be related to previous work but needed it fixed anyway. Scheduler called to set up appointment. Said the good employee would be at our house at 9:30 and to call if that didn't work. Still have the recording. Waited. Waited. Finally owner calls my spouse saying that they can't make it out until later and that they were only going to inspect to make sure it wasn't their problem and that I had accused them that it was. Spouse said the call was upsetting and accusatory. Called Sherman and the owner answered. I told him that I didn't think the problem was related and didn't appreciate how he spoke to my spouse. Told him to cancel the appointment and that he can answer to this post on Angies List. Stay away from Sherman Electric. Hopefully the good employees will find a better organization to work for.

Sherman Electric was only company that could assist us in a timely manner. Others would not schedule for a week or more! Jim arrived at stated time, checked all circuits and made certain that everything was in working order. Apparent issue was high humidity and higher temperatures which caused the outage. Since no additional work was required, he charged the trip fee and departed.

They are a good, reliable company to me. They've been doing electrical for us for over 50 years.

My breaker box is on the other end of the house in the basement. Sherman Electric was able to install the whole system very cleanly as I was concerned that they would need to open up my finished basement. They wired it through the finished basement, furnace room, and up into my garage with a very clean look. In the basement you cannot even tell there was work done. They cleaned up afterwards. The two gentlemen that came were very friendly and helpful. Scheduling: they were able to perform the service the day after I received the estimate which was helpful because my car was delivered the next day. Cost: It was more than I anticipated but actually less than some other bids that I received.

ON TIME, HAD THE EXTREMELY COMPLEX SKILLS TO INSTALL THE LIGHTING, NEAT, AND PERSONABLE. MY DESIGNER WAS HERE AND WAS STUNNED AT THEIR DESIGN AND PLACEMENT SKILLS. SHE WILL BE USING THEM ALL THE TIME ON HER FUTURE PROJECTS.
