SEASONAL CHORES INC

We have used Seasonal Chores for snow removal for a few years and have been very impressed with their service and communication/responsiveness. Despite their costs being a little higher for lawn maintenance, we decided to switch lawn services this year because of the high quality snow service. Our yard was cleaned up yesterday and it looks terrific. There was tremendous attention to detail, and we are very pleased. We look forward to seeing how the lawn season goes. Highly recommend.

I should have known when it took Seasonal Chores 4 tries to get me a correct estimate for the lawn services I was inquiring about that their services weren't going to be as good as I had hoped. The first estimate didn't include everything I was asking about, the second one didn't either. The third was for someone else's address! And finally the fourth time was the charm apparently. I still wanted to give them a chance however. After their first application of weed control I could see that they 'missed" a large part of our landscape bedding which I had specifically requested in BIG BOLD LETTERS on the contact, and in specific detail. I contacted the company and they were responsive and said they'd send someone out right away. To my knowledge they never came out to fix it because I still had tons of weeds in the landscape bedding until their next trip out several weeks later. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. Next I ran into issues with their third party billing system. Although it wasn't Seasonal Chores fault specifically, it didn't bode well for them when I sent Seasonal Chores a check to pay for the services that were denied online due to a typo in our account number, and the owner of Seasonal Chores sent me an email wanting to know what to do with the check because online it says I had already paid. However a week earlier Seasonal Chores had contacted me stating that our payment hadn't gone through and that we still owed money. Clearly there is no communication within the company. So after I received the email stating that the manager didn't know what the check was for I sent one back explaining what had happened, that they Seasonal Chores had contacted me saying our online payment hadn't gone through and this check was for that. I never heard back from him so I foolishly assumed it was taken care of. Fast forward a month and I get another invoice for those services for which I had written out that check, and a second invoice for $20 for a late fee! WOW. I couldn't hardly believe it. After several attempts to contact the manager by phone I finally wrote another email to which I immediately got a reply that the first email I sent was "never received". Eventually the check got cashed. And to top it all off my previously green lawn now has a lot of burnt out spots on it which should be virtually impossible considering I have an inground sprinkler system that runs every single day. Which by the way when they came to do aeration they didn't warn me and just did it without letting me mark the sprinkler heads like it says in the contract. Needless to say I am looking for a new company for lawncare needs.

I had not been able to do a spring clean up or keep up with the weeding.A two-man crew came and worked steadily the two hours I had hired them. them for..THey also put a weed control on after the weeding and that seemed to help greatly in keeping down subsequent weeds.

They accomplished a great deal in the time they were here and took direction well. I would most certainly hire them again.

They do the best job I have ever seen. They are very nice and very efficient. They tailor each job to the requirements of each customer. They are so neat and always on time. They leave the house like as if I had done it myself. I love how meticulous they are and it is such an affordable price.

I was pleased. Better than three different lawn services that I have tried in past years.

So far through the winter we have been very impressed with Seasonal Chores.  They are very prompt with removal services and have been very careful with our property.   They clear the snow very neatly and come back to clean up after the initial removal to assume limited plow berms, etc.   The team is very responsive and communicates well.  We will likely use them again next year and will inquire about some spring seasonal clean up, etc.   We've been very happy.

When the owner came by for an original estimate, my husband went out and talked to him and liked him very much and felt he would have confidence in him.  They are very flexible and we are very happy with them.  They did a great job and left it very clean and swept.  We feel they are well worth the extra cost.

I have used them for three years. I was referred to them after the people I had been using retired. They do very good service at all times but yesterday and today was the best. We had 11 inches and snow almost up to the windows. You never have to call them, they came last night at 11 pm to do the steps and came back at 7 am this morning. They are more expensive than who I previously used but they are worth every penny that they charge. They charge by the season, so it is $840 per season.

This company is the best snow service we have ever used!  We have gone through 3 other companies in the past but Seasonal Chores is outstanding.  They promise that the driveway will be ploughed by 7am on the weekdays and it always is.  They come back in the afternoon and shovel the walkways and often come back again in the evening if it continues to snow or if the snow ploughs come through and block the drive.  They don't come in the morning on the weekends but eventually everything gets done.  Yes, they are a little more expensive than some of the other companies, but it is so worth it to not have to get out there in the dark and cold and shovel the driveway so you can go to work!

SC did a good and thorough job of cleaning up our yard and gardens.

I had used Seasonal Chores, Inc. 8440 Pillsbury Ave. S. Bloomington, MN 55420 (952) 836-1568 for my lawn service for many years. I then had them start snow plowing my driveway last year.  I watched them and their driver rammed his truck/plow at an angle to the end of my driveway with such speed that the end of the PLOW BLADE broke the cement on the curb at the end of our driveway. I asked Seasonal Chores to turn it in to their insurance company and repair it. At first they did not call me back. Then they said they would not pay for it. They said they would not do anything about it. I cancelled their contract. 
I do not believe they were in good faith.
If you use this company, you should get a copy of their insurance policy (assuming they have one) and ask them if they will pay for damage to your driveway if they cause it.
After over 5 years of lawn care from them, I thought their snowplowing service would be responsible when they damaged my property. 
Lesson Learned  . . . the hard way.

Grass came up fine. But the ultra dry weather wrecked it. i don't think I applied enough quack grass killer in the first place, because it came back strong. 
I called and left a message hoping they would call me back, but they didn't.

Seasonal Chores has done my snow plowing for several years on a contract basis. They are alway on time and come back to clear the end of the driveway after the city has plowed the street. This year they plowed twice plowed the late April snow at no additiona charge as a customer service. I was quite impressed with this.
They also do my gutter cleaning. it is more expensive then some but they do a very complete job and cleanup afterwards.

Very pleasant company to deal with. All work was performed timely and beyond expectation. Guarantee to have driveway clear by 7 a.m. was always honored.  I can't say enough about the quality of service.

It has not been a snowy winter at all - I guess they are getting a god deal on us this year! They have only had to come once, but they came promptly and had our driveway and sidewalks cleared before 7 am, which they promise (but restrictions apply, if you read the fine print). Have done what they said they would do. Because of another Angie's List Member's comment, we asked that they not use a snowblower to clear our sidewalks. They said they would shovel (which is what we are paying them to do) unless there was a very large storm that was too big to handle with a snowblower. I could not get them to quantify how many inches that might be.

We hire Seasonal Chores each spring to do yard clean up -- clean out flower beds, rake leaves and other yard waste, rake and aerate lawn -- so that my husband and I don't have to spend our weekends on this time-consuming and tiring job. It's amazing to see the difference after they uncover our yard. This year I had done a MAJOR trimming job on a hedge in our yard that rabbits had destroyed over the winter. I had stacked huge piles of the cut branches on our patio area and was planning to break down the branches and bag them myself. The Seasonal Chores team arrived the next day to do our spring yard clean up and hauled away all of the branches! When I returned from work I was so pleased that they had saved me all of this work and restored our yard -- I was not anticipating this help!! They also cleaned up every bit of the straw that I had used on my perennial flower beds over the winter -- another huge help! We will definately use Seasonal Chores again!!

My yard was a mess and I was overwhelmed with what to do.  Kristi gave me a detailed description of what she should do.  I am very pleased with the work they have done.

They are reliable. They give you a promise that they will have you driveway snow cleared by 7 am and they did keep it up. My neighbors complained because they were blowing away snow at 4 or 5 in the morning. They were they up to the mark. I rate them high overall.
