I called Sears heating and cooling.  I had to call them twice and it came to $900.  They were here November 3rd of 2016.  The price is really high, too high.  If you don't find anybody else, definitely use Sears because they come on time and they are professional.

They didn't tell me that I had to have a chord for the dryer. I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but the guy who installed it, did have one on hand and gave it to me.

The first Sears technician didn't fix the problem. The refrigerator didn't make the noise when he was here. It made the noise after he left. I video taped the problem. The second technician was very thorough and completely resolved the problem. The refrigerator now purrs like a kitten.I didn't have to pay for the second visit because it was for the same problem. I had purchased a warranty contract which covered the cost of the repair.

Oil change was a special for $5, but it took 3 hours instead of the 1 hour estimate. They managed to break one of the lug nuts and had to special order a new one.

This is the kind of service provider we all want. This is the third time I have dealt with the Auto Center at Sears in Brooklyn Center. Each time was for a different reason and I was pleased with each trip. I went in today for a check of my axle/turning mechanism (under car). They drove it and got it up on the lift and checked it that way. They couldn't find anything wrong (I thought there was which is why I went in) and told me so and there was no charge - amazing. For as much as I know about cars they could have sold me a whole new axle.
They are always pleasant and willing to answer questions
It's nice to find an automotive center that you can trust.

Back at Sears again. This time it was for tires on my van (not my son's). We were traveling to Minneapolis from Fort Dodge Iowa on Sunday (Jan. 30) when we had a flat tire. I replaced the tire with the space-saving spare and we completed our journey. We went to the Broookdale Sears, because it is close to our future retirement home and the tire that went flat had a road hazard agreement from Sears. Our experience with the service manager (a different person than the last report) was much better. He informed us that the road hazard was good for only 4 years, but the rest of the Sears agreement we had purchased when the tires were new would cover repair if possible. Repair was not possible. This was not completely unexpected since we had run the tire flat for quite some time. The technician also inspected the other tires and discovered that the other rear tire was nearly worn out also. We were shown the places where the tire was failing. Again this was not entirely unexpected, since about six months ago I had replaced two of the original 4 tires and had the best of the old tires placed on the rear. I explained to the service manager that I did not want the very best tires because our van is a 98 Plymouth Voyager with over 100,000 miles. He suggested a good pair with a reasonable price and warranty. Overall, it took about an hour and half to get the work done which seemed reasonable since we had just shown up with no appointment.

They were always behind. The tires had to be ordered from another store and were supposed to get in about 2:00 pm. They arrived about 3:00. It was supposed to take about an hour to install them, but we did not get out of the shop until about 5:30. On the other hand, this was somewhat of a rush job on our part. I had not realized the tires on the van were so bad until I drove the van to take my grandson and wife to lunch. Due to other business that week we had to get new tires on the 15th or leave the old ones on for quite some time. Since I was rushed for time, I called the first place that came to mind, SEARS. I figured they would not cheat me and apparently they didn't. The service was not great, but we did have new safe tires by the end of the day at a decent price. The service manager seemed to be having a rough day, but the mechanics were quite pleasant and did good work.

I had this dehumidifier running due to a medical condition. It broke one day and flooded two gallons of water onto the basement carpet. I had a regular yearly maintenance visit three months before this incident, but the tech told me it was fine and there were not any issues. I called Sears and told them I needed a tech to out and help with this problem. Sears told me the earliest they could come out was in one week. I asked them to replace the unit since it was under warranty. They told me the problem was a plugged valve, and it could be repaired instead. I was skeptical, but I gave their repair a try. The next morning the carpet was flooded again, this time due to the 2 gallon bucket over filling. They informed me it would be another week before they could come out again. After working with them, they sent someone out in two days. They offered to replace the bucket instead of the full unit, but this information was causing me health issues. This has caused me health problems and I am using inhalers due to the lack of a working dehumidifier. Finally a third tech came out and replaced the bucket after much debate and delay. The unit is now working after this repair. Dealing with Sears is a hassle and headache. Trying to get someone to come out for emergencies takes too long. I did not have a pleasant experience with them.

I had a poor experience with them and I feel they are no longer the same as they used to be. I find their prices to be the same as other companies but there are some services like warranty on tires that they charge when this is available free of cost with others. Their staff seems professional but look pressurized in terms of targets. I found their policies unacceptable. I had purchased appliances like a lawn mower, dryer and washer along with their warranty. The sales person seemed very pushy while selling them to me. The lawn mower had some problem and I took it to Sears for a repair. They told me that they don't honor the warranty as their policies as well as their management had changed. Their interpretation of the policies varied from mine and they didn't bother doing anything about the repair. I felt the appliance was a waste. I feel that if they offer good prices you can buy things from them but if you expect customer service following the purchase you won't find any. I am happy with their tire schemes but not with their service.

THE EMPLOYEES WERE NOT HELPFUL WHEN I CAME IN, AS FAR AS PROMPTLY ASKING ME WHAT I NEEDED. ALSO, I RETURNED AT THE TIME THEY TOLD ME MY CAR WOULD BE READY AND I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL WAIT. THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD CALL ME AT HOME TO LET ME KNOW WHEN IT WAS READY, BUT OF COURSE, THEY DIDN''T, SO IT ENDED UP BEING A VERY LONG DAY. I DON''T RATE THEM VERY HIGH ON THEIR PROFESSIONALISM.
