I am a homeowner in the process of selling my house and the buyer paid up front for some drain cleaning in the basement, to be re-imbursed by myself, the seller at closing. So I am paying for the work. As for "Ron the Sewer Rat", chosen by the buyer, the male technician showed up at my house with a serious attitude problem. Sending out a greasy long hair and smart *** technician are not good optics for their company and kind of matches their name/brand. I was nothing but polite and respectful despite the rudeness, just wanting to get this job done to prove my house is sound and ready to sell. In the end, the drain was cleaned without incident but it was not a positive experience and definitely a relief to get this guy out of my house. I will be sure to look elsewhere for better "professionals" next time I need drain cleaning. Companies should be careful who they hire, especially when they are in the clients home and interacting closely with clients.

I called Monday late afternoon maybe 30 minutes before they closed for the day. They were able to get someone out the following day at noon to clean both the kitchen drain and lower level laundry room drain. Ron the Sewer Rat quoted $284 which is exactly what I was charged and very happy with the service and would for sure use them again!

Pre-visit communication was easy via phone email and text. Expectations were clearly explained and fulfilled. Our technician, Nick was prompt, communicative, and professional. The roots hadn’t been cleared out in over 5 years but Nick was able to clear them all out in just under the time it took for the base mainline cleaning price to be charged. We’ll be having them out to do the main annually from here on out.

My main backed up when I was doing laundry this weekend. From previous visits I knew it had to be blockage due to tree roots. Jon came today and knew exactly what to do. The price is reasonable and quality of service cannot be beat.

Perfect. They came highly recommended and I can see why. Scheduling and communication could not have been better. Cleaned out a huge amount of tree roots from our sewer line, showed video of the clay pipe and its condition, and gave really expert advice on how to manage things going forward. Tim is top-notch-- expert, smart and kind. Highly recommend.

After discovering a backup in the main drain, was able to schedule a tech to come out and clear next day. Did great work, was quick, courteous, and knew what they we're doing. These guys are my first call every time I need any sewer work done.

We scheduled three back to back appointments for drain cleaning and camera inspection. The tech, Tim, explained that, if I didn't need a formal report (we didn't) they could forego the extra cost to us as they perform the cleaning using a camera anyway. Excellent work and professional service, would highly recommend and am planning work for another family member, too.

Repair was prompt (same morning that I called), quoted and drain cleaned out quickly, and cleanup was performed. Very happy. Would continue to use Ron the Sewer Rat as first choice. Fair, prompt, and honest.

Andy and Fran came out; called ahead and arrived on time; they figured out what the problem was. They didn't have equipment to climb on my steep roof two stories up but helped me describe the problem so I can find someone with the right equipment. Friendly and professional. I'd call them again for sure.

Having used them in the past, they were my 1st call when my exterior drain tile line was clogged. The initial call back took longer than expected, and when they said they were going to follow back up with me after calling one of their other technicians, they never did. I would hire them again, but for this particular experience, I wasn't as pleased.

I have used several Twin Cities drain cleaning firms over the years, and all but one have done an acceptable job. But this time, I chose to use Ron the Sewer Rat based on exceptional recommendations from people I trust. I asked for "Mike" and found that he was all that he was reputed to be - customer focused, highly knowledgeable about plumbing and drain lines, honest, friendly and fairly priced. MIke will have all the business from our family going forward. No one better!

I have used Ron the Sewer Rat in the passed but because it was right before Thanksgiving when the line backed up and no one could come from RTSR, I called a different company. That company used a 3 inch blade, telling me that was the largest they could get into the 6 inch line because of the 3 inch opening. The camera afterwards showed a mess of roots in the line. They told me it would take $5500 to fix the problem. They had charged me $336 to clean and inspect the drain. I called “Ron the Sewer Rat” who had cleaned that drain before. I asked Trent if there was any record of the size blade they used. He said there was a record and they had used a 6 inch blade. I made an appointment for them to come out the next day and clean the pipe again ($175). We said we'd pay for the camera inspection ($150), just to see what it looked like afterwards. Ron the Sewer Rat's guy, Pete, showed up. He sent his camera down the pipe. He put a gizmo on the camera that held it off the bottom of the pipe. That did show that it was a still full of roots, but flowing to the city sewer. He ran a 6 inch blade down the line. As I remembered it was like a knife when it enters the 3 inch hole and spreads when it gets to the larger line. It did take a while but no longer than the first cleaning.. Afterwards, he sent the camera down the line. It was completely clean. No roots. Pete from “Ron the Sewer Rat” had saved my Christmas. I should buy that young man a cape.

Ron the Sewer Rat had been recommended to me by both my plumber and by a licensed handy man. I also highly recommend this vendor. I was expecting a pile of rubble where the concrete needed to be chipped out, but it looks very smooth and clean. The cleaning itself was thorough and relatively quick. The company scopes the pipe to make sure that everything is clean.
