To sum it up, carelessness, sloppiness, and damaged our house. Stay away from this company, they left paint on our trim, doors, carpet, and moldings. I had them come back a second time to fix their mistakes, and to my amazement, they did an even worse job where the PAINT IS PEELING OFF THE WALL and there are even more spots where the paint is not on the wall. I have asked them multiple times to come and fix the damages to where the paint is peeling off the wall and they refused to unless I sign an NDA that their lawyer sent me. Take it from me, don't use this company, Isaac is rude and unprofessional where he will yell and bully you inside your own home.

Below is an excerpt from a message you emailed to my colleague Danielle...please note I've used substitutions for some of your language, as it was much more pointed and explicit. “you will not be seeing another penny from us on this job. and we will be seeking damages caused by this since we have to resand, mud correctly, and then paint. It’s absolutely trash and I’m [expletive] [expletive]! I already let Jesse know via text and his response was that we can bring in a new crew and he will be there the whole time to supervise... why was that not done after the first [expletive] up? My response: "Thanks for your message. In reviewing the correspondence between you and Danielle, you and Jesse, and recalling our initial conversation on the phone, all members of our team have expressed nothing but total willingness to remedy the issues. Conversely, your tone and approach has been consistently combative and threatening, and the only party that has made overtures at invoking legal action is you. In response to these threats I simply stated that if you elect to go that route, then resolution would be handled by our respective lawyers." I continue, "I want to reiterate our desire to complete the project and fulfill our end of the contract. Not to diminish your frustration with some aspects of the project but having seen thousands of painting projects, I would characterize the issues on the project as quite minor and very fixable." I'm not mistaken, the paint that is peeling off the wall (that we've repeatedly expressed willingness to repair) is the result of tape that you put on the wall prior to our team performing our inspection. Again, we are sorry that we couldn't come to a resolution on your project."

This was the second time we've used Roell Painting Co. in our home and it will not be the last. From start to finish, the team was great/friendly to work with, incredibly efficient and professional, and did fantastic work. I couldn't recommend them more highly. We are finishing our basement and, because we used Roell Painting Company when we originally bought our home a few years back and we knew the quality of their work, we reached back out for their help. They came out promptly and knocked out some white on our new ceilings (and primed the walls) and then, once we installed the doors and got all the trim put in, they came back and put an incredible enamel on our doors, got all our floor trim looking bright white, and then put a beautiful gray on all the walls. They did a bright white in our bathroom and a bedroom down there as well. Couldn't be happier with the results. The gray on white looks especially awesome - it was exactly as I wanted and way better than I could've ever done myself. The crew of guys doing the labor were great. Friendly, professional, and got the work done in less time than we expected. I love painting interior walls/rooms myself, but this was a project I simply didn't have any time to do. The scope was too big. We actually started the priming process ourselves, spent a couple hours in fact, and were like - "Nope. We're calling Roell Painting." Like those were the actual words my wife and I said. Simultaneously. We're sync'd up like that. We're going to have them back to repaint our kitchen cabinets later this year. This is the team you want if you have a painting project.

I contacted Roell Painting to do some work for me at a town home I own in Maple Grove. I have owned the property several years as a rental property and my Realtor at Edina Realty told me to have the interior professionally painted before the property was listed. I contacted Roell Painting and was impressed with the professionalism, response time, and how fast they could get my project completed. Time was of the essence to me in order to get the property on the market before winter and I expressed that to Roell Painting. I was dealing with Nick and he assured me that he would provide me with an estimate and have the projected completed for me within 10 days. He even sent a crew over there on a weekend in order to get it completed. I never got a chance to see the work for myself but my Realtor at Edina Realty said it looked amazing and he was able to put the property on the market. Well it worked and the property SOLD within 2 weeks! Very happy customer here!! I would recommend Roell Painting to anyone looking to deal with a professional, responsive, and experienced painting company.

Very efficient but sloppy painters. Had them come back to cleanup things that should have not been painted ie. air conditioner, garage lights, front door) I assume they will end up repainting the front door at their expense. Also, don't like the fact they lay their ladders on top of the shrubs and trample them when they remove and put them back each day until the job site is complete. (We are a townhouse Association with approx. 200 units.)

I asked several painting companies to give me a quote about a month or so ago and Nick Roell is the only company that called me back! I didn't answer his phone call because I was busy and he even sent me an email as a follow up to the voicemail he left me. Now that's service!
I received his quote and we scheduled the painting to be completed. Nick and his crew showed up on time and everyone was very courteous and professional. The end product was awesome and every step of the way went great!
I recommend Nick and his company to EVERYONE! I will definitely be using him and his team in the future.

From the very beginning, Isaac and his team was incredibly professional and responsive. He came out to do measurements and provide an estimate within a couple days of contacting them through their website. After getting quotes from other local providers, I thought the price and attitude from the team at Roell's was the place to go - and I was proven right.
The team arrived promptly when they were expected to begin the job, and quickly got to work making wall repairs and organizing the overall project. There were very few questions to be answered, and the entire job was completed within 2.5 days. The team asked if they could start a bit early the second and third days to ensure they could get the job completed when it needed to be completed and were very courteous and polite for the duration of the job.
We have been so pleased with the experience from Roell's that we are already working with them to get some quotes for exterior work at our home. Highly recommend!

I was impressed with their professionalism, client contact, and work ethic from initial contact thru job completion. I contacted Roell based on the recommendation of our association property manager. Isaac returned my contact within a day and listened to my requirements. He came out to review the work area and then sent a bid, all in less than 5 working days. I received 2 other bids and all were within a few dollars of each other. I chose Roell based on Angie's List ratings, Roell's professionalism, and the property manager's recommendation. We scheduled a time for the work several weeks out. Isaac confirmed a week before the work. Isaac provided a contract that was easy to understand.
The first day Isaac arrived with Scott and crew and explained to them and me the work to be done (remove popcorn and replace with knockdown). Scott and his work partner set up the area, did their work and left the work site clean and clear each of the two days they worked. Then Jesse and crew arrived to paint. Again set up the area, did their work and left the work site clean and clear. Isaac came the last day to inspect. There will be one more walkthru in a few days. Each of the three days the crews were on time, courteous and respectful of my property.
I will definitely hire them again for remodeling work.

Very well. The crew were efficient and worked well together. They made sure areas were protected and cleaned up after their day's work. Isaac responded to my questions and was on-site often.

We asked for an estimate and Isaac came onsite to assess the job. He sent us a quote and gave us swatches later that evening. We decided to change our paint selections, but that did not delay the job; the painters were on time the next day. The livingroom, diningroom and office were painted perfectly by mid-afternoon. Courteous, professional, neat, and fast. They did a great job!

Overall Roell Painting did a fantastic job and were very reasonably priced. They responded to my call right away and started work right on-time and finished on time. They provided great help with picking out colors... we love everything they choose. We would not have done the enamel on the trim if they had suggested it and we are so happy they did because it looks amazing. There blog was a great resource in getting updates on the status of the painting and input on what colors they thought would look best. I appreciated that they made sure to do plenty of prep work so none of our furniture got paint on it. They worked quickly and made sure to get everything done when they told us they would. Overall the painting looks fantastic. I have had some bad experience with painters in the past but they did a great job and the next time I need any painting done I will definitely be using them again.
