Robert Young Painting LLC/ RETIRED

The project went very well. Rob was very flexible with timing and schedule of which rooms to start first, for minimal disruption to the family needs, having 3 small children. He was prompt replying to e-mails and very professional. He was really helpful answering any questions and offered guidance as needed. I appreciated working with him knowing he's worked in other old Minneapolis homes as I wanted to maintain the character. He had an awesome referral for help with paint selections and helped to schedule her in the limited time before starting the work. The colors and his application turned out beautifully and we absolutely love the work that was done. He did an excellent job doing all the repairs and prep work. My 3 yr old twin girls were so excited to see their newly painted room and that there was an accent wall using another color. I was thrilled to see too how neat of a job he did in the corners of our exterior electrical molding in their room and how he painted the two colors using a 45 degree angle. I was also in awe once I saw the white plastic molding (to run cables and wires through), that rests above the dark wood base molding in the living room was faux painted to match the natural woodwork. It looked amazing and now fits in wonderfully. I was very happy with how clean everything was when he was finished given all the dust that can come with sanding, mudding, etc. I also really appreciate the safety side of the lead containment and clean-up that he has the training and certification to perform. I realize that did add to the overall cost but we were so pleased, happy and feel good about how the whole project went. We have another decent sized project involving wallpaper removal and more plaster repair that we hope to eventually have done and will certainly hire Rob again.

Rob completed all the above beautifully. We are so happy with the livingroom walls and ceilings. Final cleaning was exceptional as was the day to day clean up. Rob is very professional, punctual and we can't say enough good things about him and his work. This is the third time we've used him- first report, used before Angies list members earlier.

He used high quality products and his expertise to perform the best paint job I have ever seen. I was very happy with the whole experience.

Its very hard to find someone willing to fix plaster but he was willing to do it and did a good job. He was thorough, professional, and punctual. He came within his estimate properly. I would recommend them anyone.

Rob Young was very knowledgeable about how to fix the problems with my older house. He had done research on how to bolster our old plaster ceiling and how to repair the coving mistakes. Rob knows a lot about products that are available and gave us good advice on the best way to make repairs. The project took 6 days because of all the plastering, sanding and repairs but the results are beautiful. The old ceiling looks perfect, the coving stands out with its new enameled paint and the problem wallpaper seams are gone. Rob was always on time and took the time to clean up at the end of each day, trying to hold down the amount of plaster dust from sanding. We are very pleased with the work and the expertise of Rob Young.

MY HOUSE HAD BEEN MISTREATED AND BADLY RENOVATED BY PREVIOUS OWNERS, PARTNERS ROB YOUNG AND ROCKY TORREY UNDID THE MISTAKES. PER SQUARE FOOT THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST PAINTERS BUT THEY ARE COST EFFECTIVE BECAUSE THEY DO AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF EXEMPLARY PREP WORK AND REALLY CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT. THEY REALLY LISTENED TO ME, BUT ALSO PROVIDED THEIR EXPERT ADVICE. I LEARNED A LOT FROM THEM. THEY ARE BUSY THROUGH WORD OF MOUTH REFERRALS.
