Phillips Garden

Our experience with Phillips Garden was exceptional in every way. We enjoyed each step of our collaboration, from early visioning to final planting. And we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Phillips Garden has provided us with an outdoor living room ~ complete with raised beds and fruit shrubs. This project has brought such joy to our family - and so much loveliness to our neighborhood. We worked with the Phillips Garden landscape architect to the design project.  He was excellent.  Very professional and very knowledgeable.  Though we came to them late in the year, they worked us into their schedule because of our water concerns for the area landscaped.  The whole process from design to completion was handled efficiently and professionally.  We were very pleased with the outcome.

We worked with Phillips over parts of two years; we had to postpone the process to take care of some family issues. But when we said go in Spring 2015, they were ready and got our project from conception to finished in time to enjoy the end of summer. They stuck to our budget - which necessitated us making some hard choices - but were always there with clever solutions ... We didn't feel like they were upselling us. We wanted something natural and perennial, and they cleverly took advantage to design a circular space in the middle of our backyard, half grass, half bluestone sunning porch. Their garden designers filled the ample sirrounding spaces with over 600 perennials - many we never heard of - and guaranteed them and the trees for a year. Their build crew was intelligent, respectful, and very hqrd-wrkibg - I was renovating the other three sides of our house, and they were generous with advice & sometimes tools. Their maintenance folks are same - very good about educating us on how to do it ourselves. All in all, our eyesore has turned into a pleasure!

Tyler Grissman of Phillips Garden worked closely with us on the design and did a great job of listening to our needs and incorporating our ideas into the final design. The construction crew was great! They kept us informed as to the work schedule. They kept the work site clean throughout the project. They did a perfect cleanup at the end of the project. The new patio is beautiful and highly functional. We continue our relationship with Phillips Garden as we have contracted with them to do ongoing garden maintenance. The entire team was very professional, informative, answered all our questions, and were fun to work with. At the close of the project they provided us with a list of all the plantings. The drainage system works perfectly and solved all the problems we had been having. We are very, very happy with our new yard. Phillips Garden did a fantastic job on our project!

went very well. We called them not knowing a thing about how to work with a landscaper (we had seen their work on their website). They visited our home, looked things over, asked us what we were looking for, our budget. Tried to get a sense of what kind of look we had in mind, made suggestions. For a few hundred dollars, they made a design plan and work plan and estimate. Came in over budget. We asked them to make changes to fit budget and they came back with same design but with some of the trees and shrubs no longer "specimen" plants.

We accepted the offer and they went to work over the next couple of months. The long amount of time was the result of their removing all the overgrown shrubs and trees and letting it sit for three weeks to ensure nothing came up. Our old yard was really an overgrown mess. When they were working on site, they had complete crews, got the work done fast and professionally.
