This turned out to be a very large job requiring a 2-person team for a full week. The main difficulty was that scaffolding had to be used to reach the upper walls and ceilings, and proper wall finishing with scaffolding was obviously a major pain. Even though "painting one room" for $1500 seems very high, the amount of work required made the cost very reasonable.
The workers worked very hard and long hours, but were cheerful, helpful, and professional at all times. When the work was finished, the owner of Paragon Restoration checked and noticed that, due to the summer humidity, the ceiling paint was bubbling and would eventually flake off. So they put up their scaffolding, sanded off the paint, re-taped and mudded, used fans to dry the ceiling thoroughly, and finished it again. And they did this without my having to ask or point out the problem.
Both the owner and the workmen had a dedication to excellence beyond what I have seen in any other contracting company. I would strongly recommend this team for any finishing or painting task you need done.
