Excellent as always

I called Mark after reading reviews online about his work and he was out here the next day to take a look. 10 days later he had the new garage door in and it's perfect for what we needed. Another contractor had told me they wouldn't do it because the foundation was uneven and garage was leaning a bit (like most old garages in the neighborhood)-- they said the garage wasn't in a condition to put a new door on. Mark took one look at it and said no problem. Sure enough the new door works great. He was the easiest to work with contractor I've ever hired. Awesome experience and great to have a usable garage again thanks to Mark.

Mark returned my call promptly and came out the next night and quietly and swiftly did the repair and tune-up (quietly because it's a detached garage!). Appreciate his quick and competent service.

It was 7 PM on a Sunday night...was going to do some errands...garage door would not work...was a broken spring...called Mark at Northeast Garage Door Inc....he made it over to my place by 9pm and replaced both springs...adjusted chain, oiled needed areas, did an outstanding job...have used him before...he is the only person I would ever call ! Thus I had to rate him "excellent" in all areas. Give him a call, you will not be disappointed !

I called Mark McConville, who did work for me a couple of times before in the past few years. I left a voicemail message which he returned in a few hours. He came out later that evening. Thought he could replace the board but when he suggested putting in a new unit I took that option. I was rather surprised at the low cost he quoted. He replaced with a brand new unit, added the eyes at the bottom which reverse the door if there is something in the way, made some adjustment so it would run up and down smoothly, and included two remote controls which he programmed (I also have two other garages and he reprogrammed the other remotes to coordinate with the new one). Mark does all the work himself and will make sure the job is done right. He is very responsive - will come out any time day or night (24 hour service).

After being told by two major garage door companies that our 1918 tuck under garage could not have an opener because of space problems, Mark at N.E. Garage door came and was able to install an opener for us. We were so impressed with his knowledge of how to work around problems that we also ordered a new garage door to be installed along with an opener. Mark is a real craftsman who knows how to solve problems. We now have a tightly sealed new garage door and an opener on our old Minneapolis home. Mark was able and willing to make the changes needed to install the door and opener. We thought his price was very reasonable for the amount of labor he did, removing the old door, hauling it away, installing the new door and making accommodations for the opener. Price included the single door and opener. Just FYI, Mark prefers to work in the evenings and at night.

Mark was great! Called him around 11am, and he returned my call in the evening. He quoted me $220 recommending to replace both springs, which I'd planned on anyway, and arranged to come the next day. He got here while we had company in the evening, but he just got right to work. I chatted with him a bit, real nice guy, and while we talked he was going over all the the nuts and bolts snugging everything up. After replacing the springs he found something wrong with the opener itself. Fortunately, he said we have a pretty good opener and he was able to fix the problem (loose/broken wire). Charged me $20 for that, which seemed good; guessing a lot of places would charge that to just think about opening up the unit, and most likely just want to replace it altogether. Included with any service he does is making sure the door is in excellent working order. He said he can't stand a noisy garage door and will never leave them like that. Well, ours was VERY noisy, but now the only sound you can really hear from it is the motor of the opener itself. No more groaning, creaking, and squeaking.

Mark was polite and very considerate of my time. I think it took 1 1/2 for him to complete the repair. Two days later there was a horrible scraping/screaming noise when I would open/close the door. I called Mark and he know exactly what was causing the noise. He stopped by that night to make a few adjustment - he told me to leave the service door unlocked and that he would lockup after. The next morning the service door was locked and the garage door went up smoothly - no more scraping/screaming noise. I will be calling on Mark for all future garage door issues.

I could not be more impressed with Mark so here's the backstory:

We arrive home after a wonderful Easter weekend to find that the garage door would only open about a foot and a half.  Knowing nothing about garage door openers I play with it and try to "fix" it myself by smacking it a few times, open and close the door many times, take it off the track and look at the belt quickly coming to the conclusion that this is not something I can handle.

Now it's Easter Sunday, garage door is broken and I have no clue what to do so I resort to the usual of check Angie's list for a recommended contractor.  I call Northeast Garage Door and leave a message assuming that I would receive a call back on Monday.  Instead, Mark calls me back within 5 minutes, diagnoses the problem in 5 minutes on the phone and says he'll run into the shop, get his tools and come over.  Mark correctly diagnosed that the spring was broken, and showed up on Easter Sunday within 1 hour of the call (he was fortunately nearby) had the proper replacement part in his truck and fixed everything based upon a service call he received after 7PM on a Sunday and was happy to explain what he was doing as I was greatly curious in how the fix was performed. 

Mark went above and beyond with his timeliness and service, ensuring not only the fix was in place, but proceeded to inspect the rest of the garage door, tightening all of the bolts and ensuring everything was properly lubricated.  I couldn't be more impressed.

The spring on the door broke leaving the door unusable.  We called NE Garage Door, left a message on voice mail. The call was returned that evening.  He came out that same evening and replaced the spring, adjusted and lubricated the door.  I works great.  Very satisfied.  He works in the evenings to avoid traffic.

It took a while to call me back, but it was the same day, he diagnosed over the phone and then came late and fixed my garage and just left me a bill. The work done looks great. I appreciate the promptness if the service.

Mark returned my voice mail promptly.  The garage door was able to be opened and closed without the opener so it was not an emergency.  As such it took Mark a few days to fit me into his schedule. (Tip: If you can wait a day or two for Mark to be your repairman, the wait will be more than profitable to you in terms of reasonable fees, excellent work and feeling good about your choice of repair people.) After giving Mark some specifics about the issue he accurately diagnosed the likely problem over the phone.  Garage door installation and repair is this guys passion!  He not only corrected the problem with the opener, but he went over every inch of the door checking for loose bolts, proper alignment, and he lubed every single hinge and the track.  He adjusted the height of the track header as it was installed too low by someone else- which improved the operation of the door and opener.   He even took a look at my other garage door and opener on the other side of the garage, adjusted the opener and fully inspected and lubed that door too.  I honestly have never felt happier or more satisfied about a service call to repair, replace or adjust anything in my home or rental property in my life.  While a seeming rarity these days, Mark's easy manner, enjoyment of the work he does and people he meets, work ethic and high standards are not too good to be true.  You will be happy if you choose Mark to install, replace or repair anything to do with garage doors and openers.  I will recommend Northeast Garage Door to anyone and everyone. 

Mark and I exchanged messages over the Super Bowl weekend since my garage door opener died on the Friday before. We finally connected shortly after the worst play call in football history! Then he came out Monday evening and did the installation while we watched Downton Abbey and Grantchester. Absolutely super service, price and punctuality. I recommend without reservation.

This guy is great.  Called on Friday night at about 5:30 and he came over that same night and fixed it within an hour.  The price was fair, no extra charges for the Friday night service and had a conversation with him to boot.  Definitely use this guy and support and an awesome local business!

Perfect.  He's amazing at what he does.  He even came out a day ahead to be sure he had the right size door and measurements.  He prefers working after noon and he worked late into the evening, which suited us just fine.  I won't call anyone else to fix or install a door.  Mark at Northeast Garage Door is the one!

He was amazing. He was at a far away location when I called. I called at 6:30 at night and he had a second job after that. He got to our home at 11:00 at night as it was an emergency. He did an amazing job, I will always call him when needed. He was at our home for well over an hour and it was freezing outside. The service was just amazing.
