We are an LCD, LED and Plasma TV outlet store. We sell the same TVs the big box stores sell, but without their original boxes. We are able to save our customers hundreds on the same TVs they'd buy from those big box stores.

This place sells TVs from other stores and mail-order/Web sites -- display units, open-box returns, discontinued models, etc. Some TVs are in mint condition with remotes and everything; some are in good shape but lack remotes or have a scratch in the cabinet; others have dents or screen imperfections. All of the TVs are LCD or plasma (no CRTs). None of the TVs has a box. The TVs come with a warranty (I don't remember if it's 30 days or 90 days). The discount is based on condition -- we paid $300 for a 32" TV/DVD that sold new for almost $500 at that big chain with a yellow tag logo. No remote (but universal remotes are not expensive and you may already have one), no manual (we downloaded a copy from the manufacturer's Web site), no box, a small scratch on the screen that we could have inflicted ourselves as soon as we installed it. We brought the TV home and -- problem -- the built-in DVD didn't work. Worse, it gobbled a disk and refused to spit it out. So the next day, it was back to the store. Jeff and Adam (father and son) worked on the set and got the DVD out, but couldn't fix it. They said they'd tested it before it got to the store floor, but .... well, whatever happened. They had a similar model in the back of the store; they would have traded us that one outright, but the DVD on IT didn't work, either. They told us they would have to send the TV out for service. They apologized deeply and offered us a loaner set while ours was being fixed. It took just a couple of days until the TV was back from service and it has worked without a problem since. If you're really picky about the TV you want, you'll either have to stop here frequently to check out the stock or you'll have to shop elsewhere and pay more money. You can get good deals on TVs through mail order or the Internet, too -- though you don't get to see the actual picture before you buy the TV and returning it if you have a problem IS a problem. But if you just want a TV (and they carry good brands like Samsung and Sony; it's not all brands you've never heard of and they have several dozen TVs in all sizes) and you don't need to have that new-TV smell, you can save a lot of money here.
