He is always very busy but he was able to fit me in. He is extremely skilled. He has licenses to work on just about any automotive. He is easy to reach and very reasonably priced and is very resourceful. Over all he just does a suburb job! I have gone to him for 15 years.

Both jobs were horribly done, they neglected to instal all the bolts for the struts and other bolts were loose. The allignment was not done properly either, even the dealership said it was not safe for to drive.

I have an old (1999) Dodge Ram truck. Standard cab, long bed. It's not my primary vehicle and I don't drive it for months at a time, but when I need it, it's indispensable. It has nearly 150,000 miles on it but it's basically a simple rugged vehicle and it has lots of life left in it.
The transmission had started to take 10 second or so to engage once I put it in drive. And the brake warning light was coming on. In addition, the dealership told me a couple of years ago that the master and slave cylinders needed to be replaced, so I thought I'd better have the whole braking system checked out. I also asked him to look it over for problems I might not know about.
Nghia kept the truck a couple of days. When I went back to pick it up, Nghia said that they had looked the transmission over and it was slipping because it didn't get driven enough. I asked him if it would be a good idea to change the fluid and he said he could but he didn't recommend it because changing the fluid in an old transmission can cause more problems than it solves. (What mechanic says THAT??? He was basically telling me that he didn't want to take my money now because he'd end up taking more of my money later.)
As for the brakes - he said the master and slave cylinders were all OK but he had replaced the pads and front rotors. I happened to have pads because I'd bought them on overstock closeout at the dealership previously, knowing I'd need them eventually and he'd used them. Didn't give me any crap about not allowing customer-supplied parts in his shop like some guys do.
Otherwise he said the truck was in decent shape. I paid (a reasonable price) and left. When I got in the truck I noticed he'd charged the battery for me (hadn't driven it in about 3 months before I took it in). Also the transmission engaged promptly and properly so I know he'd taken it out for a test drive. Brake warning light didn't come on. Brake pedal had the right feel and the truck stopped straight and true. It even seemed to run better
I was and still am a happy camper.

Work was awesome. They eliminated work that wasn't needed and very reliable. They also cut the price of $2,000.

Casket repair ha been quoted at $4000 by a mechinic I trusted,.and anothergarage quoted $ 3100, Nghia dif it forr $1400. Thr day aftet I picked up my car, the A.C. No longer functioned. Tires he placed on where cheap and performdd as such. Both gone in less thebthen a,year. Tire people informed one had been installed backwards. I returned tp Nghia's to dicuss with Nighia responfed the A'C. was no wear near the the timing casket. Car people in my life confirmed this. Hasn't won my trust yet, but would give hiim another try. I brought my van in to their shop upon very short notice. We had to go there directly from picking my kids up from school who were of course, hungry, tired, and overall in an unpleasant mood. The gentleman at the counter that I spoke with gave me an accurate estimate (even with the different scenarios of what the problem might actually be) and told me he would have the parts later that day. My kids really needed to get home and he could tell so he asked one of his guys to drive us home and then bring the van back. We don't live that far away, but still - that was GREAT! They called later to tell me the van was ready, my husband and I picked up the van. The price was right, the work was done well and all went smoothly. Couldn't have been happier. And they are close to my house! We will definitely be returning.

Excellent first time experience. Lobby was busy with loyal customers. Car was promptly examined and necessary repairs were explained and estimate given. Work was done on time, on estimate, the same day. I just moved to the Victory Neighborhood and this was a very positive first experience and I look forward to going to Nghia's again in the future for my car repair needs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services.

I have finally found a mechanic shop that I can trust. They are SO HONEST, and explained everything to me. I will only bring my car to Nghia's Auto Service, and I am already recommending them to everyone I know. I HIGHLY recommend them, and can't see me going anywhere else. Like they say, you always need a good doctor, lawyer, and now I have a GREAT Mechanic.

See above: Called him, we set up a time, I waited, the job was done, I was happy with my car and the price. Car is running great (have taken several long road trips in the meantime) about a year after the fact, so think I can safely assume he did the job well.

They were friendly, explained everything and did not push any high end products. They gave me professional advice and I will use them again in the future.

We have used Nghia for years and he has always been very honest and fair in his prices. Recently our car broke down in S. Mpls. I had it towed to the nearest dealer because I thought the problem might be covered by warranty. It wasn't and the dealer quoted me $1500.00 to have the rack and pinion steering replaced. I called Nghia and he said he could do it for $700. It was done in 2 days and cost exactly what he quoted me. I would highly recommend Nghia to anyone. He is an excellent mechanic.

After Nghia correctly diagnosed the unidentified, low-frequency rattle coming from somewhere under the car, he informed us that while replacing the bars wasn't an emergency repair, the rattle would probably drive us nuts. Because Nghia has been very fair and honest with us in the past, we had no qualms about asking him to do the repair-- even though this was one of the more expensive repairs he has done for us. We recommend him highly to anyone on the northwest side of Minneapolis.

Nhia is always great. He tells you up front if he thinks it's not worth it, rather than just do the job & charge you. He has often had to track down a problem - which wasn't what we originally thought. And I've NEVER felt over charged. His philosophy is good work for a good pirce will make the customer happy & they will keep coming back - it's that simple.

I've taken my car there many times. I drive a really old car, and I trust them, so I don't really pay attention to what's going on. I just tell them to fix it. He's a really nice guy. He's actually kind of crazy in that he seems to work 24/7. I've taken my car to him in the middle of the day, and then he'll call me later at night to let me know to pick it up. On numerous occasions, I've gotten same-day service, and not just for an oil change, but for a big fix. He's a very honest mechanic; he doesn't push you to do things that aren't necessary.

He is the most honest mechanic we have found in the Twin Cities. His estimates are accurate and he never pushes for extra work. He does only what is indicated and knows that many of his customers are on a budget. But, he never skimps on the work. The car is ready on time and often early. We rave about him to our friends and are extremely lucky to have him in the neighborhood. He also does not charge for an estimate and is usually able to look at your car right away.
