Was very pleased with the overall result of New Again. I submitted dimensions and pictures over the website and received a very competitive quote. After stripping the deck there were a few more boards where some rotting was identified and Barak and his team replaced them promptly. Stain looks great and made an immediate difference. I had been contemplating if my 20 year old deck was too far gone and needed replacing... but after seeing what Barak could do with stripping the old paint off, replacing some bad boards, and staining... I'm very glad I chose to do this rather than replacement.

Brak was great. I had a hard deadline because of a family event with out-of-towners. Barak made sure that the project was completed on time even with a short deadline and weather related delays. He kept me advised thoroughout the project. My cedar deck really does look new again! Reasonably priced too! Great job.

Barak was very punctual and his team finished the work in 2 days. Did a excellent quality work also Barak advised that staining is best done after the wood gets set for a while so that it would not peel off. I would recommend Barak to and one looking to build a new deck or replace existing deck.

Excellent exerience! They pressure washed my deck to remove the old, worn-out, stain. Then, a few days later, they returned and applied new stain. They were friendly and professional. They did a beautiful job.

We would highly recommend New Again Deck Renewal. We had tried to hire Barak 2 years ago but he was too busy so we had another company do it. They did not do a good job. So we called Barak again this year and he remembered us and immediately said he would schedule us. He came and discovered that the previous company had used the wrong stain and that is why it did not last. Barak did an excellent job of power washing and sanding our deck to get it in the best condition to stain with the right product. They are extremely professional.

Overall - Price was great, work done was great but one piece of my request was never completed. Very easy to get an estimate since they come to your home and you don't need to be present. You are also able to pay online using credit card which is nice. deck work is pretty dependent on the weather so it felt like it took a long time to complete but I'm sure weather played a small part of that. I had requested one of the boards on my deck be replaced, originally it was said they would do this when they stained the deck but it didn't happen, when I called the main contact said he's the person who fixes things and would come out and fix it separately. Weeks went by, I didn't like having my bill unpaid so I decided to pay the bill for the wash and stain and emailed my contact, he again stated he would fix the board but it has yet to be done and it's been months since the project was started.

Barack, the owner of New Again Deck Renewal, was easy to work with, generous with his time and advice, and extremely fair in his pricing. He is a popular choice on Angie's list so he stays busy during the non-winter seasons and can be hard to schedule if you wait too long. Working through e-mails, I sent Barack photos of the current condition of the deck and he immediately offered me a couple of options - clean and stain or replace the deck planks. I asked him to come and look at the deck in person, so he did. Once he saw the actual deck he advised me to rip off the deck planks and replace them with new cedar. He assured me that the joists beneath the deck were sound. He suggested that I check out his site on the internet to see the recent work he'd done and to get a feel for different styles. "What you like is up to you," he said. "I can do whatever you want but you have to decide the look that you're comfortable with." So, I did that, and he then directed me to check out the Decks Direct site for railing options and prices. Barack sent me an estimate for his part of the project and carefully reviewed my choices of railing hardware. (I ended up spending about $2,000 for the metal railings). I thought Barack's estimate was very fair and, in addition, he gave me a substantial Angie's list discount. I provided a downpayment and we settled on an install date (trying to work between rainy days). I ordered the railing and had it shipped to my house. Everything went great. Barack and a partner were punctual and came and removed the old deck planks in one day and staged most of the new wood. He came back another day with a crew of four to cut and install the new wood and to assemble and install the railing hardware. The deck looks absolutely wonderful. Everything was cleaned up perfectly. We loved the experience. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to have the deck renewed! I highly recommend this company and, yes, I would use them again.

Once the weather cooperated, it went very well. I'm very pleased with the outcome and thankful for the help provided. I will hire them again.

Barak was prompt in returning an estimate after receiving photos of our deck. His price was better than previous provider we have had and his work was excellent. I particularly appreciated the clear communication and prompt service. I was not home when the work was done, but could only tell they had been here by the nicely stained deck. Barak and his team did a great job communicating throughout the project. They were out a month or two, but they did the project when they planned to (despite a rainy August). The decks look great. There were minor corrections that had to be made after the staining, and Barak was great to work with when handling those. He immediately took responsibility and willingly made the corrections. I'd definitely hire New Again in the future.

Beautiful end result. Thoroughly cleaned the surfaces and re-stained them. Clear instructions on the prep needed. Advice given on repairs that should be made sometime in the future.

Great job! The repairs were very well done. My deck looked brand new after the power wash and the stain. They seem to extremely busy and we had some trouble at first nailing down a time for the work. But it was well worth the wait. The cost was very reasonable and the work exceptional. I would definitely recommend and use them again in the future.

Barak and crew were excellent. Got to our project earlier than we expected. We feel the product used was superior to anything we have used so far. We'll know more by how it looks next spring but so far we are really impressed with this company. Our deck is large, two levels with stairs.

Went well. Barak was responsive by email and when we needed to expedite the service due to some landscaping work, he sent someone right out. This is the second time we have used New Again to stain and seal our deck and I'm sure we'll bring them back again in 2 years.

I hired them in 2016 to stain my deck. They stained it the same day it rained and within a week water blotches appeared in the stain. The owner, Barak offered to redo it for free. I suggested he come back a year later and he owned up to his promise and stained my deck a 2nd time for free. I was impressed with the quality of their work the 2nd time, and making the project right for us.

Now my deck looks new again. Thanks to Barack, who cleaned and painted it himself. Thanks to Angies list I found New Again Deck. I took my time choosing the right contractor. Wish I had done this early summer, so I could have enjoyed it more. Barack suggested a different color then I had picked because it would look better with my house color. Looks beautiful! Won't delay next time. I found the right company.

Barak, an affable young man, showed up spot on time. Cleaned the deck and gave me useful advice for ongoing care of the deck. Very professional. All in all a pleasant experience.

Everything went great! We called them on a Monday and Barack was able to come around to look at the property and give me an estimate the same day. He made some good recommendations for design (railings and the closed underdeck). Since we were calling before their busy season (late March) they were able to start work on Wednesday, just two days after the estimate visit. By midday Friday we had a beautiful new deck! It was built with high quality materials and good design. I'm especially impressed that they were able to make sturdy, level steps on our un-level lawn! Everything looks great and we couldn't be happier. Barack was very punctual in responding to email messages. The project was completed in the amount of time they said it would. The final cost was almost exactly to the estimate. We got some advice for taking care of the deck and they hauled away the old lumber from the demolition. Great service all around!

Amazing! Barak and his team are incredibly professional. I would not hesitate to use them again. What I really appreciated was Barak's honesty and transparency from the beginning. He told us exactly what he could and could not do. He made recommendations on things, but always let us make the final decision. The work was done while we were on vacation, and it was such a treat to come home to a new (again) deck! I thought the price was extremely fair given the large size of our deck and intricacies of our gazebo. He ended up applying a third layer of stain, and he didn't even charge us for it because he just wanted it to come out looking nice. This is a top-notch company with a top-notch owner. I recommend you allow plenty of time between when you hire Barak and when you want the work done. Because he is so good at what he does, he has a fairly long waitlist. We called first in the middle of May, and the work started the middle of July. It was worth it. I'm glad we waited!

The deck was in very bad shape. The owner, Barak, inspected it himself after cleaning to be sure that all the problems had been addressed. Both the office and job site crews were responsive and professional. The deck looks great, the price was reasonable. Highly recommend this company.
