We were extremely pleased with professionalism and craftsmanship of Joe. He arrived at the scheduled hour, was meticulous in his work and very congenial. I have no qualms in recommending him and Minnesota Window Restoration to others. Summer is apparently a busy time in the window repair trade and our project was scheduled six weeks out. It was worth the wait.

It went great.  I don't have to prop open my windows anymore with candlesticks or books.  Jason did a great job.  They really know how to fix old windows.  I am very grateful that they were able to fit me into their schedule.

Michael cares and knows about windows.  The only glitch was on the manufacturers end, which resulted in a small delay.  He kept me informed all through the process.  Gary installed the windows in bitterly cold weather for which I am grateful.  There has always been drafts from the windows.  Since installation it is comfortable and warm.  Highly recommended.

Great storm windows. Quality work. Glad I didn't replace my original windows (home built in 1923). I'd use this company again.

It went very well.  Mike is very knowledgeable and informative and he is flexible with his schedule.  He goes the extra mile and has a lot of pride in his workmanship, which is very nice to see nowadays.  He is truly a craftsman, probably much like the men who built the windows originally in 1932.  I've had a few guests over since Mike finished and I had my windows open with the nice weather.   Everyone's very impressed that I have an old house where the windows actually work, especially the upper sashes!  Most people don't seem to realize that "double hung" means both sashes are supposed to move.

Mike and Gary were professional and prompt in responding to our questions and requests. The work was split between two seasons, starting in the very late fall of 2012 and just wrapped up this summer. Storms on the main house were completed first, with the front porch being completed most recently. Mike was able to respond to change requests promptly, and Gary was flexible on scheduling installation times. We were able to arrange to do some of our own painting of the existing interior windows and frames in between removal of the old storms and installation of the new ones. They also took care of recycling the old storms. I would definitely recommend working with them, especially if you are at all concerned about maintaining the historic integrity of your old home and its original windows. We'll likely be working with Mike on a future project to repair and restore the existing original windows on the home as well.

He was great.  He did an excellent job and gave us quick workmanship. The price was fairly reasonable.  He was very clean and friendly. He was punctual.  He was busy when I called him since it was fall and everybody was getting projects done.  So he took a couple of days to get the work started but he was quick and on time and true to his words.  I did not any problems there. I wish I could work with him again.  I contacted him for a smaller job which he could not help me with but he recommended somebody who could and that was nice.

We had several windows with one or more broken sash cords that needed to be propped up.  Mike replaced both cords on each window, regardless of whether they were both broken, which means the window is less likely to have a problem for many years to come.  Our windows are constructed in a way that Mike needed to fish in the new cord, something that can be difficult to do, but he was up to the challenge.  He was very through, tidy, and professional.  We have wanted to preserve the windows in our old home because they are well-constructed.  I know we would hire Mike in the future!

Working with Michael was great. He came to the house to assess our windows and was patient with my questions and never tried to push any extra work. He provided options for storms and explained the work he would do. He was accommodating of our schedule and worked efficiently when he was here. He worked in the house alone and everything was cleaned when he was done. The new storms went in first so we would have a tight seal while the sashes were out being repaired. He sanded the face of the sashes to allow for an easier paining job. Since the storms and window work was done, we got through the summer with the ability to open the windows wide to let air through, and open them from the top so our small children and dogs wouldn't lean on the screens, and we got through a long winter with noticeably fewer drafts, far less condensation, and no damage to the windows. We are so happy with the results we will hire Michael to come back this spring to finish the remaining 5 windows on the upper level of the house.

Michael was great. He was very professional. He came out to do an estimate promptly. He was able to do the work the following week. He replaced broken glass and sash cords on 2 LR windows as replaced 2 sash cords in 2 kitchen windows. He replaced the broken glass and put on new glazing. He also "unstuck" another window. He did all the windows in 1 day. When he was done all the windows went on and down easily ( for the 1st time) and looked very nice. He left the area neat and clean. He clearly appreciates older homes like mine built in 1921 which has almost all original windows. He also gave info about replacement storms.

Michael was part of Gary Oberg's window sill replacement team that I hired to repair/replace the rotten sills on my windows. Michael mentioned that he could take my windows and give them some TLC. He provided me with one estimate that included spot glazing but then suggested what the price would be if I were to have all of the windows reglazed, which was really the right way to go about it. Michael needed to coordinate the glazing portion of the project with another person specializing in that area, so when they were both ready, Michael took out the windows (took about 20 minutes) and them brought them back four days later to reinstall them and to finish the work (took about 2 hours).
