MGE CONSTRUCTION

Mike and his team went way beyond the call of duty to remodel my parent's garage. The team worked hard to make sure their work was quality. They found some further problems with the garage, and quoted a fair price to get the entire garage in good shape. Without reservation, I highly recommend MGE construction.

While I had multiple estimates for the job, Mike showed the most attention to detail of any of the contractors during his estimate, which gave me confidence he would do great, and he did. During the basement office into a bedroom conversion, he ran into a few unforeseen problems such as mold behind a wall and a window behind the wall that neither of us knew was there. Mike let me know what the issues were and then gave me different options of what he could do to fix them. The bedroom turned out great and we've received a lot of compliments on it. MGE is very professional and great with communication, I highly recommend using them for a remodel.

Love the work done. I didn’t always know when workers were coming but if I had asked for more specifics about time I know Mike would have accommodated that request. They were all easy to work with, friendly and professional. He hired out for the flooring and used his guys for the rest.

Mike and his team repaired areas in our kitchen ceiling / removed a large bathroom mirror and repaired the wall. Also painted both bathrooms. They cleaned up after they were finished each day. He has done several small projects for us and would definitely hire again and recommend highly.

MGE did a great job! Mike, the owner. was friendly, courteous, and explained everything clearly from the beginning so there were no surprises. These were huge projects (lower level was flooded and needed complete restoration. Because of the efficient way that Mike and his excellent crew and sub-contractors worked, things went smoothly. I would gladly recommend Mike and MGE Construction If I have more work to be done I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Mike was excellent to work with and exceeded my expectations in every-way! We did a major remodel in our house including the kitchen a master bath, ceilings, new insulation, plumbing and new hot water heater etc. He fairly managed change orders and was available even after the project was finished. Kind person and easy to work with

Mike did a complete demo of our outdated master bathroom down to floor boards and wall studs and we ended up with a beautiful new modern bathroom. He helped us with design ideas and vendors to select new products. Mike was very professional and remodeled our bathroom like it was his own. The subs he used were very good and they also contributed ideas to improve the design as they completed their work. I got multiple bids but selected MGE Construction because I trusted Mike and he proved worthy of our trust. Would definitely recommend MGE Construction.

Mike was fantastic! He was prompt and attentive, reliable, and transparent. He listened to what we wanted and helped us come up with a beautiful custom island for our kitchen. He was right on schedule and right on his quoted price. The quality of the work is outstanding.

Excellent. Mike, the owner, was personally involved in all aspects of the projects. We really appreciated his expertise while helping us through everything from the initial plan to the myriad of decisions along the way. The team that works with Mike were all professional and high quality individuals. The project was completed on time and with quality. Pricing was fair with no surprises. We had planned to do the basement only but were so happy with the work that we kept going and did the two additional bathrooms.

We had Mike renovate our lower level bathroom and help with a small home theater setup with custom cabinets. From day one, we were impressed with Mike. He was very easy to talk with and he laid out everything in a clear and precise manner. He and Tyler were very courteous, made sure they cleaned up before they left (Tyler even stopped by after a sub contractor left to make sure they had cleaned up). They did an outstanding job with everything. Mikes custom cabinet guy Sean created some of the nicest built in cabinets. Extremely high quality! There craftsmanship on everything was impressive. Mike came up with great ideas that we used for saving space in the bathroom as well as cabinet design. We plan on using Mike again to help with a kitchen project and when we do our other bathroom, We will absolutely call on Mike to work on it.

Mike is so easy to work with. He is professional, organized, careful and cleans up as the project moves along. He is a clear and respectful communicator. He told me what was going to happen when and then followed through. When things beyond his control occurred (like granite broke in fabricator's truck) he called me right away to explain. He always answered my questions and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with each step. When there were options, he would communicate the details and costs and let us choose. I always felt safe with him and his subs in my home. He even went out of the way to befriend our barky dogs. The project was completed within the timeframe he estimated which was 8 weeks. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and all of the additional work that Mike did to stabilize the "bump out" and make it beautiful. I was dreading the mess and invasion and stress of this project, and Mike made it completely manageable. I am so glad we found Mike on Angie's List and hired him.

This contractor, Mike at MGE, deserves the highest rating!!

From our first meeting through to the final plan, our choice of materials, and completion of the work, MGE was helpful and very available.  We were provided with very important information to help us make choices in design and materials.

The planning and actual carpentry was performed by Mike and his crew.  I must say, he was very particular, and we are delighted with the finished kitchen.  Mike employed sub-contractors for custom cabinetry, H-VAC work, plumbing, electrical, and painting.  I love the cabinets and our meeting with the cabinet maker was most useful

From the start date onward, Mike was on site, or checking in daily.  He returned our phone calls promptly and I never felt we were left "hanging out to dry" while we waited to talk to him.  He handled anything we perceived as a potential glitch, very satisfactorily.  He also was careful to be sure the sub-contractors knew exactly what was needed.  All sub-contractors were experienced, pleasant and respectful, and EVERYONE cleaned up the area they were working at the end of each day.  That was SO appreciated. 

The project was completed as promised, even though we asked for several changes along the way.  MGE found a way to give us choices and changes to meet our needs and which would be acceptable while remaining within the total of the bid.

Went great! Mike was very helpful when he came for the initial quote. He was very responsive when we wanted to move forward. His crew did a great job protecting my house when performing the demo, they were friendly, and cleaned up after they were done. Very happy with the way everything turned out!

He was just fabulous.  He was very efficient and personable.  I was at ease with his workers.  He gets back to you fast if you send him an email.  He is just easy to work with.

It went very smoothly. Not only was the work well done, but Mike made suggestions where I could save money by changing my plan. I especially appreciated his communication skills, which made sure we were on the same page regarding costs, implementation, schedule, etc. He's good on the "big picture" but also careful with details. My 30-yr old bath was transformed into a bath I'm very proud to have. I highly recommend MGE.

Perfectly. We chose him because he gave us a fair estimate with details within that of how much we would be able to spend on everything that we were putting in to it and we were able to get everything we wanted within those allowances. He willingly worked us for 2 months refining the estimates as we changed scope and selections. He was very prompt to start the work once we signed the contract and kept everything on schedule and within budget. One of the best things about them was how clean everything was left every day which was a huge help when you are dealing with a large job that took a few weeks.

They are outstanding and their price is great. I had a few bids and they were a little bit better than most bids. Mike, who is the owner, shows up when he says he is going to show up. He is very good about laying out different options for different price points. The total of the big project was $43,000 and I couldn’t come up with one complaint. He does a lot of work himself but sometimes he hires subs who are also great. All the people on the job were licensed contractors, which is relatively rare these days. We’ve used many contractors and he is definitely superior. We hired him to do more work for us this spring.
