Memories Renewed

I'm a professional photographer. Memories Renewed provided highly competent, personalized service on a large, difficult job. They're terrific!

When Chris was done with them we were astonished. They were ready to be reframed, and I gave a copy of each print to my four children. They were delighted. Then, of course, one of them asked if they could be colorized. I thought about it a while and decided to have the colorization done on photos of the children with Santa. They turned out unbelievably well. In one of the originals, Santa's face was barely visible, and now he is alive and well. Among other things, my children will receive framed prints of the colorized Santa photos. I can't say enough about Chris' work.

The work was done in half the time estimated and they did an amazing job! I now have beautifully restored family photos with prints to share with all my siblings. One 91 year old photo was so faded I didn't think they would be able to get much from it but they did!

The results were perfect! Their customer service is great and the online account service is so helpful. Am already using them again.

I wish I could give a higher rating than just A. Maybe A times 10 for this business. Working with Chris Fure is such a pleasure. You will always know the status of your job. He worked with me on 2 pictures that were odd sizes and came up with some beautiful reprints. One of the 2 had to be sent out of state for printing and then sent across the country for delivery. That was all done within a week. And the other 4 pictures were in one frame. He had to remove the back of the larger frame to get to the individual pictures. The reprints are great, and the original pictures are back in the frame and the frame sealed shut. You wouldn't know looking at the front that they had been removed. I can't wait to find more work for Memories Renewed.

Without going into a lot of detail, what I wanted to have done was to transfer some old photographs and letters onto an archival disc; because of the combination of photos and letters I wasn't sure of what kind of format to use. Chris came up with the idea of combining a slide show with a PDF (Portable Document Format) and putting both on the same disc. This was a great idea. Now we have the option of viewing either a slide show or a fixed in place-layout without the bother of two different discs. I want to thank Chris for his tremendous patience and understanding. He did a great job of integrating the two formats onto one archival disc; and all of the images turned out crisp and clear. I will definitely be using Memories Renewed again and I highly recommend its services to anyone.

I email Chris a scan of a badly damaged photograph from 1950 asking for an estimate. Chris promptly replied with a very reasonable estimate, considering what I had obtained from other places. I then dropped the photograph by the Memories Renewed office and received the proofs within the timeframe that we had agreed upon. Once I checked the high quality of the work done by Chris I decided to have all the other photographs restored and the old slides scanned by Chris. Very professional and friendly.

These guys do a great job!! I had used Chris at Memories Renewed 15 years ago with great results, so chose him again to do this bigger project.
We had lots of old tapes laying around of various types - VHS, mini DV, Hi8 and more. I was worried these would deteriorate if we didn't do something. I didn't even know what was on most of the tapes.
I sent the whole box to Memories Renewed and they put the videos on their web site so i could look at them and see what i had before i decided what to do with them. Ultimately, I had Chris do a little editing and we put things in chronological order. Then I had him put all the info onto external hard drives ( so i could make movie projects and do some more editing if i wanted to ) and also had him put the video onto DVDs which can play on TV or computer.
He made labels for the DVD's and the DVD cases. The DVD cases had little photos of all the thumbnails of the video content so you could see what is on the DVD at a glance.
I know we spent a lot of money on our project, but it was worth it. The reason our project was more expensive than average was that I asked for an extra hard drive and for multiple copies of the DVDs so i could give a copy to the kids.
You can either send your video in or bring it in in person.
I would highly recommend this company!

This was a scanning job for several 100 year old pictures. One was too large to scan without stitching two scans. The work was done on time and the quality was first rate. I might have saved a buck with a mail order scanning service, but this was quicker and I had more peace of mind.

I wanted to make digital copies of our photo albums for safekeeping, but the thought of tediously scanning them one at a time was something I just couldn't bring myself to start. So I brought them in batches to Chris over several months. The quality is better than I would achieve at home (600 dpi) and he offers several levels of service. He's also personable, accommodating and very easy to deal with. I started with the regular albums, but I keep finding boxes of antique irreplaceable photos in storage and I just bring them straight to Chris.

Chris, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and completed the work in a timely manner. I was expecting more video production and editing as part of the process, but the services were primarily converting old 8mm film to digital and 35mm slides to digital. Any significant editing was done by me once i had the digital files. It was also quit a bit more expensive than I had anticipated, but probably because there was more tape to transfer than originally thought and because I needed some editing done and had thought that was included in the price estimate.

A huge project that we've all put off forever - right? I brought in my first box of 9 Super 8s and cassettes (1988 to 1992) to see how the process worked. Chris transferred these to an easy-to-use online gallery so I could review. What delightful fun to see tapes of our kids when they were little (especially those we'd never even looked at before)! Of course, there was lots of bad photography and endless segments that needed to be cut. He showed me how to write down my many and quot;startsand quot; and and quot;stopsand quot; so he could provide the custom edit.
Now on to the next batch of 12 to review in the gallery!

I organized my photos by year initially. Then, I conferred with Chris as to the best way to proceed. He suggested some different options. I chose to present each year in a chronological format. I was intially dreading this project and was surprised at how readily this system works... even for 895 photos!

One of the best and easiest transaction ever. Chris (the owner) is a super guy!!
