I paid extra for a Sunday morning move. They never showed. No call. No show. Nothing. Got an apology the next day, but by then it’s too late. If the customer had screwed something up, they’d have no problem charging me extra. But when they screw it up, I got an “oops, sorry about that.” It’s too bad, I really wanted to like them.

They were highly recommended by a friend, but my experience was awful. They changed the start time on moving day twice, but were still an hour and a half late, making me late for my Xfinity appointment at my new place. Many items were damaged, including my one year old dining table. They say they wrap that stuff in blankets, but apparently don’t know how to pack stuff to avoid damage. Many boxes left in the garage marked “basement,” leather sofa scrapes, coffee table and end table scraped, my tall dresser had to be totally glued back together because the frame was damaged. Also broke the wood bench stool that goes with my bedroom set. They ran into the side of my house with something and cracked a piece of siding. Paint scraped from arms of my porch chairs, scraped the bedroom wall with the bed frame, messed up my patio door so it doesn’t close properly. IT’S BEEN NEARLY 6 MONTHS AND SOME OF THESE ISSUES ARE STILL NOT RESOLVED!

BEWARE of Matt’s Moving and be prepared to be scammed and ripped off if you use them. I would give this company ZERO stars if I could. I had a very short list of heavy items I couldn’t move on my own with my car (mattresses, dressers) I was quoted 2 hours because that is their minimum charge for moving anything. The salesman even contacted me twice to confirm my inventory list and couldn’t believe I had so few items. He asked me if I was “sure” I had so few items. I said I was sure and confirmed my list again. I also only had to move the items 6 miles. The salesman assured me it would only be the 2 hour minimum since the list was so small. HOWEVER, when I got my bill I was charged for 5 HOURS and over $1300. I have tried to dispute these bogus charges with them multiple times. They said they would only remove 1 hour and still plan to charge me DOUBLE what I was quoted. I have notified my bank for fraud. Matt’s Moving are scammers! They will quote you a price and then double it or more. Do not use them! BEWARE!

Matts Moving was contracted to move our furniture to our new home on 5/15/2018. During this time, Matt's moving personnel transported our dining room table on its legs in the back of the truck which caused irreparable damage to the table. In addition, Matt's Moving broke the legs off of a Sofa and a caused a significant amount of damage to dry wall, requiring professional repair. Pictures were taken and proper paperwork was filed while the movers were on site. Upon filing a Claim with Matt's moving on 5/16/2018, I spoke to office manager Amanda Hicks via phone where she advised that based on the pictures, the table was not repairable and that they would pursue monetary compensation. Amanda stated that the damage to the drywall and sofa would be included in that claim. I agreed to these terms and that the table was repairable and expressed our concern about the fact the movers hid the damages which injured my 6 year old daughter. Matt's offered to reimburse the damages (table alone valued at $853.00 as part of a $1,500.00 Set) offering $98. I explained that this was a case of gross negligence and that they should have transported the table dissembled or face down. I formally requested they cover replacement cost. Amanda advised she would follow up internally with the business owner Matt and get back to me. On 5/22, Matt called my mobile and stated that they are asking for an onsite visit to see the damages. I informed Matt that the table had been disposed of on 5/18 as it was agreed it was not repairable. Matt stated that this was not acceptable, that Matt's never stated that and to provide a receipt of the original purchase (provided on 5/24). After numerous attempts to reach Matt with no response, Matt's moving offered to settle the dispute for $400.00 on 5/31. After expressing concern that this was not adequate, Amanda put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later offering a total of $500.00. Matt's Moving refuses to put anything in writing or admit wrongdoing. The entire ordeal is very dishonest and both my wife and I feel that this is a common occurrence with Matt's. Do not do business with them or you will be VERY sorry. Desired Outcome: We have requested that Matt's moving cover the cost to replace the table at $856.16. The estimated total damages caused is $1,156.16 to replace the dining room table, fix the drywall damages and repair the broken leg on the sofa.

My gosh what a good experience. Seriously, with a mover!! The crew showed up right on time, were very careful about having runners everywhere they went (on a wet rainy day), wrapped and/or padded everything, and hustled non-stop. They asked me a number of times if I needed this or that done, or if they could help with something else. The whole move took the time they had estimated, not a bit of damage - which I find is rare! I wish I had a sixth star to give. This was perfect!

We were given a reasonable hourly rate as we didn't know how much we would move ahead of time. They were on time, very friendly, professional and careful with our things.

Where to start with this company. Here I go. I used matts moving based off reviews on yelp, I'd have to say I think some may be fake. Every bad review incidents happened during my move with them, but since I'm an Angie's List member I will leave a review here too. I called their # and explained I wanted a full service move. Meaning they would do all packing in addition to the moving, no unpackaging but set up of a few different things, nothing too complicated let alone unusual. I was quoted the price, I was Never told about the $500+ deposit amount placed on my card during the phone call. I found that out after the move on my credit card stmt...more on this later. The 3 men showed up on time, however my driveway is long and ends at a huge circle in front of house. I just happened to get home right as they were attempting to back the truck down the long drive. I have landscaping rocks on both sides of entire drive, they managed to drive over them in several places and basically breaking them in pieces, making a mess, looks terrible-i could have backed that truck up better. Now onto the packing, I'm not kidding I had a lot of things to be packed, but this was emphasized during the setup phone call, I was in no way under estimating how much, prob more like over estimating. They packed, they loaded into truck. They did not wrap all furniture to prevent dings, scrapes, gouges, damage. They just piled/shoved it in the truck. They did not put any protective plastic down on floors, they just did what a basic cheap mover would, only problem is this move wasn't cheap at over $2000, but the service was. When getting ready to leave, I found 2 closets still full of stuff to move, be careful to check because they didn't. They asked to get a bite on the way. Didn't mind and I don't think it was for that long, at least I'm not complaining about that. New place, which is carpeted, again no plastic laid down anywhere. I planned to have carpet cleaned after move, but after them tracking in and out, I HAVE to. It's hard enough to direct them where to put things, but to find out they didn't mark a lot of boxes, I was ******. I have office, bedroom, closet stuff in garage. Kitchen, bathroom in bedroom-you get the idea I'm sure. Almost every piece of beautiful furniture has scratches, dings, gouges etc. and most of it had been moved 8 years earlier with almost zero problems by diff company. I could just cry, so angry but once your halfway through what can you do? You just want them to finish and get the F out! When done one man comes up with the handwritten bill for me to pay. I know I paid too much, you are charged for every inch of tape, piece of packing paper, box, prob the markers that they forgot to use...but too exhausted to deal with the BS. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy if I had one. Stay away!! There are plenty of A+ moving companies around, don't hire this D-F service. This company needs to train the movers better, even a truck driving class or too. Ridiculous!

we moved into our new home from Minneapolis downtown to South Minneapolis. I was pregnant and my daughter decided to show up early at the exact date we were supposed to move. So my husband and I were unable to be present during the move and my friend had to help by being there. When we got home all the boxes were there, nothing was missing. The only complaint I have was the bed they were suppose to make was not made and the guy who tried putting it together broke one leg (maybe due to force applied).

Matt's Moving did a great job. I would definitely hire Matt's again. The movers arrived on time and called 30 minutes before they arrived just to keep us informed. The movers themselves were experienced and careful with our home and belongings. The movers were also polite and respectful. I'm very satisfied and consider the cost money well spent.

Fantastic! They got to my place early, parked where I told them to when I made the apt, and where extremely efficient and knowledgeable. They figured how to get my couch through a narrow doorway and took extra precaution that nothing was damaged. They even used straps instead of a piano dolly, which was amazing, as piano dollies have destroyed my piano in the past. Would highly recommend Brad, Ethan, and Ben for sure!

Great! Movers arrived a few minutes early, were very courteous, professional, and hard working and really maximized our two hour window. They also dropped off our couch at the nearby Salvation Army. Would definitely recommend them!
