The move went great! We were originally expecting to move back in May or June, but we got delayed and didn't move until September. Originally contacted them in April and was impressed with responsiveness and price. Scheduled for May move, but they were accommodating in pushing the move to September (and honored the earlier price, too). Hard workers, no problems or glitches. Highly recommend.

I had a terrible experience. The movers broke my mirror. They scratched up two of my bookshelves (the contract says that they will not pay insurance claims on any furniture that is made of particle board, so they don't care if they destroy these items). They ripped my couch bringing it through the doorway, and they put it on the ground and got dirt all over it.
In spite of the fact that the movers were extremely careless with my furniture, they drove about 15 miles per hour on back streets from my old place to my new place, wasting a ton of time.
I received an estimate in writing by email that they would take three hours to do the move. They started at 8:45:00 and ended at 11:45:00. Now, I understand how hourly billing rates work. If they quote me three hours, they're not going to take less than three hours to do the work.
However, when the guy wrote up the bill, he rounded it up to four hours. I said that was outrageous, that I had been quoted three hours, and that I would pay for the three hours that they worked. He said that they charge for the time it takes to drive to and from the shop. I told him I wouldn't pay him a dime more than the three hours that they worked. He told me that "if I gave him a generous tip" that he would write off the extra hour. I agreed. I was going to tip them anyway.
When the movers finished, they wanted me to sign a release that said that none of my furniture was damaged. Are you kidding me??? I wrote on the sheet of paper all of the damage that had been done. I never heard a word back from the company about the damage, and I was so angry with them that I didn't want to call to make an insurance claim.
I would never use this company again.

The company sent three men and a truck which arrived at the agreed upon time at the residence I was moving from.  Two of the men that appeared to be approximately 40 years of age were large and quite strong.  These two did most of the heavy lifting and moved all of the large pieces of furniture.  The other man appeared to be about 20 years of age and moved mostly smaller things.  I was busy doing final cleaning in the kitchen so I did not watch them continuosly, but several times I did observe the younger man standing alone in different bedrooms and he did not seem to be very busy. I did not think much about it at the time because I was cleaning and occupied with the move.  They arrived at the new residence and the furniture was moved without incident.  They finished about 3pm and left after being paid.  I then started to rearrange the items in my dresser that had shifted during the move and noticed several things were missing.  I am 63 years old and the only people occupying the house are my wife and I.  The house is kept neat and orderly and we know where things are, particularly items of value.  The items that were missing are small and easily concealed in a pocket, so stealing them would have been simple.  The missing items were a new ipod, a folding knife that is part of my knife collection, and a bottle of prescription medication. The move took place on a Thursday and I spent the entire day on Friday searching for these items just to be certain they were gone.  I contacted Lovelette Transfer early Monday morning to report the theft and their response was to check my drawers and make certain the items were gone.  Chris was the contact person and he said he would report the incident and call me back.  I did not hear from him after 3 days so I called back and essentially received the same response abut checking the drawers.  I spoke with Chris again a few days later.  He said that the men had been questioned and did not know anything about the theft and that I should really check my drawers very throughly to make sure nothing had shifted around or fallen out.  After speaking with him on three seperate occasions it became quite evident that there would be no action taken and he insinuated that I had probably misplaced the items and would find them eventually.  I knew exactly where these items had been and they were stolen, there is no question about that.  If you hire this company to move your belongings you better lock your valuables up if you want to keep them.

The two man crew arrived on time at 9:00 and got right to work.  The furniture was loaded by 10:30.  The items included some very large and heavy pieces which they handled without any problems or damage to furniture, or the property.  In moving the items into our Mpls home they had to negotiate icy sidewalks and carry the items about 150 feet from the truck to the front door.  They finished by 2:00 and did not take any breaks.  They also moved some large items within the Mpls home.  These two guys worked very hard, and were very careful with our things.  I have used this company in the past as have other members of my family, and we have always had a very positive experience.

Fantastic!
Great communication, prompt service and good work...what more could you ask for?
Since you pay by the hour there is ample opportunity for them to extend the engagement but they didn't...in fact they almost jogged in between trips to/from the house!
They showed great respect for our furniture and nothing was damaged during this move!
Highly recommended!!

Moving is a stressful time, moving companies should know that better than anyone,  so first off my move was on Monday, I never got a call from them  Friday or over the weekend telling me when they would come (when I scheduled they said since it was a small move it would be either morning or afternoon), so finally Sunday in all the choas of moving I had to go online find their number and call them to find out when the were coming. They did get there around the time they said they'd come.  The move out was ok.    However when I have used movers before they have put down "protective sheets" over the floors so they don't track, this company did not. And in my Chaska house I have BRAND new (it was 3 days old) carpet but nothing was put down to protect the floors, luckily they didn't track anything it - but it could have happened especially with the heat and I have asphalt driveway w/ the crack filled stuff that gets goey in heat and sticks to shoes. The best part of the move was they did move a loveseat out of the crawl space (it is very tight space) in my Chaska house.  That was an added value item.  Then the bill came - first of all the rate was $105 per hour (the Angies list coupon is a bit deceptive I think as well as their website) they claim 5 hours (I get the 1 hour of truck time from their location to mine and vice versa) I'd say it was rounded high even if it was 4.5 vs 5.0 that's $50 difference.  Then the guy told me the bill was $727 - when I questioned how they h*** he got that he said he took hours time rate - I may be smarter than the average person at math as I'm a CPA but really do you think I'm that dumb?  5 times any number is never going to end in a 7.  Then he said oh I took 5 time $145 as that's the rate I'm use to seeing - again 5 times any number is not going to end in a 7.  Whatever.  So then I went to pay with credit card as they advertise on website take credit card.  The guy said don't take credit card.  It wasn't that big of a deal as I pay my CC's off immediately anyway but I thought I could earn my points by putting it on and may not have selected this company if I knew up front no CC's - and people not updating websites is a pet peeve of mine.  The guy said business has been slow so quit accepting CC's.
I moved from Eau Claire Wisconsin to Plymouth in Sepetember 2011 (less than a year ago) - the Eau Claire moving company I used moved EVERYTHING (not just large stuff) except for 3 carloads of stuff - my total bill for that $749 including 3 hours of drive time, they used protective covering and got it done in 8 hours time (including drive time and probably 4 times the amount of stuff).  So when I compare that to this company, let's just say there's a world of difference, I had considered calling up the Eau Claire company to see if they would come do the move here, sure wish I would have!!!

Everyone arrived on time and worked hard.  I felt the crew was professional and honest.  They did the work as stated and provided an accurate estimate.  My only complaint is that after the move was done, we still had items left at the old house to fill both a car and van.  I was under the impression that the entire house would be empty and moved.

Chris and his team were great to work with. We needed to move my father-in-law into assisted living and the facility required a specific time of the day and I had a number of other companies say they were unwilling to work with us on that, but lovelette was even though it was a bit outside of what their usual schedule. The guys were on time, they were careful and professional.  Chris stopped by the job just to see how things were going. We felt they went the extra mile for us as we were in a pinch (even made a stop to pick up some new furniture on the way to the old house to move things). We would definitely recommend them and use them again should we have need for movers.

I liked them.  The two guys that I did the work were father and son Native Americans.  They were just great, great guys.  They treated my stuff very well.  They were so nice to work with.  They were very good.  It was the best moving service I've ever had.  They were excellent.  I've referred them to others as well.

Once we set up the contract to move our who-knows-what from our four bedroom home, we were asked to fill up a web form to give an idea of the stuff. The estimate was pretty close to what we paid. Three guys came in that day-- James, Darryl and Jeff. All of them were big, strong, polite, and careful. Ok, Jeff may not be  big, but strong, polite anbd careful. They moved our heavy furniture quickly. Some of the furniture was way too heavy and lifting these to the upper level was definitely very hard work. They made sure not a single wall gets a nick. Their truck was not the newest, but their work was finest. We thanked them from our heart to help us move all these goods. The day was hot, and I offered them some coke as I was thirsty just looking at their hard work. Only time they stopped working when we shared a few pizza together. The three guys were wonderful. If we will move again (no, I am NOT planning), we will hire them in a heartbeat.

I contacted them after another moving company a friend referred me to was unresponsive and gave me an extremely high quote. I contacted Lovelette within two weeks of my move date and they were very responsive and able to move me when I needed to move. One of the best parts of working with them is that EVERY time I called they answered the phone, and when the move times had to change they were very good at calling me with when they would be able to move me, and gave me several options. Also they showed up when they said that they would. The final price was a bit higher then the online estimate, and at the high end of the range we discussed over the phone, but still reasonable for the time sent on the move. I felt that they worked quickly so I paid for work actually preformed. The crew that moved me was friendly and professional.

Excellent response, arrival with estimate, and transporting belongings.  Had 2 trucks and 5 men to complete the work.  Could not have been happy with the process.

We had a floating move date.  They were extrememly flexible, and were able to reschedule at a last minute notice twice, once for pushing the date back a few days, and then pushing it back a few hours with a half a day notice.

Very trusting, reliable and efficient.

Our only blip was the final cost was $400 more than the high end of the estimate.  Other than that, having reliable, efficient workers who handle and care for your belongings, the walls, doorways, etc.... is a huge plus!

They are a local company. It was a great experience I had when I used them the second time. They are easy to schedule and I like their willingness to fit into our schedule. We had to follow a time frame for moving. They were very cooperative. I would use them again without any hesitation.

The move went very well. The gentlemen that performed the move were on time, extremely polite and worked without break to load the furniture and boxes that we had packed beforehand. All of our belongings were treated with respect and were moved without damage and/or issues including some antiques that we were particularly concerned about. They also moved some items to the cabin next door upon request. Upon arriving in Minneapolis, the items were unloaded and put in the storage unit in the order that we requested so that items needed right away were placed in front. They made a stressful day run very smoothly. I would definitely use Lovelette Transfer again.

I called the company to get information. They were very helpful on the phone and offered to come and see what was going to be moved before giving me an estimate. They came out the same day. I agreed to have them make the move for me after I received the estimate.. The move was less than two weeks away. The 3 men who came were very professional and very careful with my things. This was mid March and there was snow on the ground but they carefully laid rugs and did not walk on my carpets at all. The entire move was well within the time that had been estimated and the cost was also. I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a moving company.
