Things started out well. Jim gave us a good estimate and was very personable. He was generally easy to get ahold of and quick to get back to you, however, there were several frustrating parts about working with him. He was going to do the work himself, but ended up subbing out most of it due to medical problems. His communication to subs was lacking and in the case of the kitchen, the counter top guy came to do the job with improper info which pushed the job out and added much frustration. Also, we waited 3 weeks for custom counter tops and they came wrong. His own worker did the prep job on the exterior of the house and did a inferior job. Another of his workers built the railing and when he came over to do it, stated he didn't have the money to front the materials and needed me to go buy materials if I wanted the railing built that day. Also, the putty filling the nail holes were never sanded and were stained right over. In the end, just wanted to be done dealing with him.
