Lifetime's Bloomington North location on 84th Street is not their best. The current layout of the building has serious limitations that prevent it from being as user-friendly or amenity-filled as most of their other locations. And, past remodeling work hasn't solved any of the fundamental problems in my opinion. A meaningful investment in a new design could solve most of the issues (a narrow congested stairway serving as the lone pathway between levels is the worst part). But, it appears the company would rather invest in new locations elsewhere and treat Bloomington North as a low-budget cash cow. If you live nearest this location, you should consider the Edina LA Fitness instead. They don't give out free towels, but it's superior in every other way... and cheaper. One day hopefully LTF will see fit to build a quality location for the people of West Bloomington & South Edina. But I'm not holding my breath.

I like that they have convenient locations and they offer late hours so people are able to take advantage of their memberships. I like that they have both an indoor and outdoor pool. They are a family friendly facility and have a child care center.

Great clean, pleasant fitness environment. Good equipment and great staff. Good classes.

It was ok. The price was reasonable and the facility was good overall. The only problem we ran into was that they had promised not to charge us for the month of August and yet they did. However, once informed of the mistake they took care of it in a prompt manner.

We like the membership and mostly go to the Bloomington location, but don't like that since they bought Northwest that some of the clubs we used to go to are now outside of the base membership (i.e. we have to pay a higher monthly membership to go to Plymouth lifetime).

I walked into the child care center and my one year old coughed. They asked if he was sick. I told them "No". The women behind the counter said "Well, I need to call my manager." She hung up and the manager walked in and handed me the list of childcare rules. I talked to the club manager, he asked what I wanted him to do. I just wanted it documented. When I got home I called and told him she should have believed me and let him stay. If he would have coughed again I would have left. He called me back and asked me to bring in a note from my doctor. I called corporate and Aubrey told me there is nothing wrong with having to bring in a doctor's note, that they have rules, and that it was my word against theirs. My son was not sick. He didn't cough again until after I was home at least an hour later. I was not listened to. I was just pushed out the door and off the phone. Do they ask everyone for a note from a doctor?

GREAT LOCATION, GOOD SIZE AND EQUIPMENT. THE LAYOUT IS A LITTLE GOOFY, THOUGH. THE LOCKERS ARE IN THE BASEMENT AND REQUIRE GOING UP AND DOWN A NARROW STAIRCASE. BUT A MINOR COMPLAINT. ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR, THOUGH, AND IT'S PROBABLY COMMON IN A LARGER CLUB. I REALIZED AFTER ONE WORKOUT THAT MY WORKOUT BAG WAS MISSING. I STOPPED BY THE FRONT DESK HERE TWO TIMES TO ASK THEM IF THEY HAD THE BAG. BOTH TIMES THE DESK PERSON LOOKED AROUND THE SIGN-IN AREA AND SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT. ON THE THIRD TRY THIS PERSON TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO LOOK ELSEWHERE AND FOUND THE BAG. IT WAS VERY FRUSTRATING.
