Lawn Care Express

Lawn Care express has it's ups and downs. Over the course of several years we've had to have managers come in to train their staff. The worst being that the crew skipped 3 weeks of cutting a section of grass that grew 12 inches over those 3 weeks. The crew just ignored that patch of grass and never cut the grass until a manager showed up. It made our yard look dumpy. Fortunately Brandon the manager was very helpful. in training his crew. Because of Brandon’s help with training the crew it really helped. We'll certainly use them for next season.

Paying for weekly mowing of small city front yard with slope. Twice in a row, even after contacting customer service, all they did was use a weed eater in the entire yard. It looks patchy and hacked at. They used to do a nice job, but now are just cutting corners

Very good service professional but friendly & courteous eager to please. Did triming and cleaned up all loose grass from sidewalks and driveway. Our yard had issues when it came to using their large equip so they brought in a smaller mower for that particular area.

It went well, they even hauled the refuse away. I will be hiring them again.

They mowed my lawn twice. The first time was not good, but the grass was long and I knew it would not be pretty the first time. They don't bag so my lawn looked like a hayfield. I had to rake so the remaining grass wasn't choked out. The guy who mowed did not do any edge cleanup that first time.
Sadly, the second time they came, the look was much the same (lots of grass clipplings in chunks I had to rake up). Grass messes on the driveway, my neighbor's driveway and in the gutter. He did some edge clean up but only on about half of the lawn. The rest was left to be about a foot tall (as he didn't trim it the first time). After raking up the clipplings the lawn looked like there were two people out mowing with mowers at various heights. I had strips that were about two inches higher than other areas. He completely missed several spots. As they use a big mower he just didn't mow in the tight areas and failed to cover that with the trimmer.
During my clean up I came across one lawn ornament that he mowed over. The metal parts were all bent and a glass bulb broken. He cut a mole stake half (that was in the mulch, not in the grass).
I left a message with the office regarding the service and damage but no call back.

I have been using their service for 2 years and have been very happy with the work they do. They take care of the lawn in the summer (mowing and weed spray) and snow in the winter. This is my first year hiring out snow removal and it has been very nice to have. I typically wake up and the walks and area in the alley are clear, there have been a few times on bigger snows that the clearing is done a bit later, but overall very timely. I have had to call in a few times to ask them to come back after the plow has gone through the alley and they have always come and have taken care of it. I did pay for the season, which at the time I thought was a bit on the high side, although this has been a pretty good winter so in hindsight it was worth the cost.

OVERALL: The office personnel are very nice, but they never answer the phone; I always have to leave a message for them to return my call. They are very affordable, but with most things, you get what you pay for. I have been increasingly unhappy with the level of service and quality of work and am looking for a new company this year. LAWN CARE: I have a typical inner-city lot but the crew uses a large standing lawn mower which is not able to reach all the areas around my house. I've called and requested that they use a smaller machine to reach those areas, but nothing ever changed. The crew is very fast (taking less than 10 minutes to finish) but the speed means no attention to detail. SNOW REMOVAL: I have the 2 inches or greater snow removal plan, but they use the MSP airport snowfall totals to determine if they come; that would be fine if I didn't live 20 miles from the airport. They use a snow blower for the sidewalks and driveway and shovels for the steps and deck. The issue here is with the lack of care; the crew has damaged the decking boards with the shovels, and the siding of my garage and downspouts with the snow blower. The crew arrives HOURS before the snow has stopped falling, which means I have to re-shovel myself, after the snow stops, or call and ask them to return for a second time. The crew has also come in the middle of the night (seriously it was 2:00 AM the last time). I guess they haven't heard of noise ordinances - wow - I'm done with them.

I have been using this service for the past two years. I think they do a good job and their prices are great. From time to time they have forgotten to blow the grass of the sidewalk or missed a place to trim, but I didn't consider that a big deal since it only happened a couple times in 2 years. I would definitely recommend them.

After 5 weeks of inconsistent scheduling/non-arrival and poor quality work (grass clippings not cleared off lawn, grass clippings left on paths) I terminated the service.
The office team are extremely friendly and professional and the website tells a compelling story but the execution does not live up to the promise.

We have been using them for a couple of years now. We are satisfied with the work that they do.

I spent about $19 on the job. I think they are awesome. They are really affordable and really nice to deal with. I started using them because of their excellent prices. They are professional, too. I will continue to use them in the future.
