Larkins Construction

This was the worst experience of my life. Neil Stephens of Stephens Interiors who contacts and works for Demetrius Larkins of Larkins Construction, LLC license #20637024 have no skills at all. First day Neil and workers showed up 2 hours late. Neil and crew started to lay the flooring. I brought up the fact Home Depot said the floor needs to sit and get to room temp. Neil said no the flooring needs no prep at all. They put this new flooring over old asbestos flooring without any prep but a little sweeping of dirt. This new floor was even put right over dog pee before I could wipe it. I express my concern about the uneven floor and was advised once again no prep required. Next day the crew shows up late 3 hours, head to lunch 2 hours after they get to the job and Neil goes to jail. workers spend the day getting him out. Mr. Stephens has already received a $2000.00 deposit. Day 3 Neil Stephens is a no show. Now I am left with 3 workers who have been learning how to lay flooring the last 2 days. Demetrius Larkins shows up and tells me he is the head guy and Neil works for him. He begins to tell me all the wrong things Neil has done. Top it off Neil measurements were off 18sq ft of tile. Now I need all kinds of extra things to complete this job. The job was started on a Monday. Was told 2 or 3 days. They left the job Sunday. They left the job without putting tile down in the closets. They sawed thru my dog grooming table which costs $150.00. When they took out my dog bath they broke off the water pipe drain. They only replaced it after I started to cry, by then I had had it. They only replaced 10% of the 1/4 round which they replaced in wrong areas and put up side down. None of the door jams were taken off so you can see all the uneven cutting. There are gashes in the floor where the knife "slipped"'. The door entry part, that metal strip, I don't have one any longer. My laundry room door no longer shuts. When my wash tub was put back I showed Mr. Larkins it was pieced back together as I shook it and the whole wash tub fell to the floor. He got mad it me for shaking it so I could show it wasn't even hooked back up to the water. He had told me I should drywall a area which I was a fool to have done being there is a 1/2 inch gap between the drywall and floor. He didn't want to put 1/4 round down. The workers well, they are a whole other story, but you can't really call them workers. They left their cigarette butts on my basement floor, nails were left all over the driveway, pop cans and water bottles were scattered around storage rooms, outside bushes, and garage. One of the workers kept making sexual remarks to me, it was so gross. Now I have a basement with $2,000.00 worth of flooring material that is coming up in every room that need to be replaced. I hope nobody else goes thru what I did using Neil Stephens and Demetrius Larkins of Larkins Construction, LLC.
