They were very good. They explained what they were going to do on the job. They explained the difference between the materials. They did not try to up sell instead told me the benefits of one over the other. They gave me choices. Their clean up was good.

I called 4 companies for estimates. They provided an detailed estimate and showed an extensive knowledge of possible issues that could exist when the cedar shakes were removed. We choose to go with another company that we had used before that was within 200.00 of their estimate. I was impressed by their knowledge and their competitive price and will be calling them for an estimate on future work.

The entire project was fantastic from beginning to end!! Bill Mossberg was my sales representative, and he came out the following day after I called, and met with me to discuss my requirements for my re-roofing job. He then went up on the roof to inspect the existing shingles and vents, and measured the area to reroof. He then went over the measurements with me before he left, and gave me several brochures on different shingles available. We agreed on the Duration architectural shingle line, and he emailed me a quote the very next day. Bill's quote was the most detailed quote I received from any of the contractors I requested bids from. He detailed every single step of the project, materials required, permits they would pull, as well as how they would cleanup and haul away debris. Once I compared quotes, it was obvious that Bill is extremely knowlegable about roofing projects, and that Lakewoods was the company to hire. Bill Mossberg was great throughout the entire process, and offered good suggestions on chosing a color for my shingles to go with the overall exterior of my home. He was extremely patient with me as I looked at shingle samples - and he brought samples out to my house twice. He really made sure that as a customer, I was happy throughout the process, and that the new roof would really look good on my home. He confirmed with me the date that the project would start, and walked through the schedule for that day(so there were no surprises). On the day of the installation, it went just EXACTLY according to plan. The dumpster was delivered first thing, and few minutes later the roofers arrived and began removing the old shingles. Within a half an hour, the new materials arrived, and the work progressed right on schedule, and they finished in ONE DAY! And they had the dumpster promptly removed the next morning! All of the roofers were extremely friendly and professional - a great crew!! Bill was on site several times during the day, checking the progress of the work, and checking in with me as well, to see if I had any questions. They put tarps down all around the house, and as I have a fenced back yard with dogs, they were extremely careful to make sure and drop any debris from the front of the house. When they were finished they cleaned up every single piece of debris, and even went so far as to walk down my block and check for any shingle wrappers that had blown in my neighbors yards (it was a windy day). I was stunned at how clean the crew left everything - I have gone through 2 other roofing projects, and I have never seen a job site kept so clean during the project and left absolutely spotless afterward. Bill stopped by the next day to go over the yard again to make sure there wasn't even one nail left behind. I did call them about an unrelated issue I had a few days later with my siding, and they sent someone out the same day to assist me. Fantastic customer service, fantastic products, and expert installation!!! Lakewoods remodeling is a wonderful organization, and you can not go wrong working with Bill Mossberg. I LOVE MY NEW ROOF!!!! I will definitely hire them again!!

I had Lakewoods Remodeling replace my roof. They did a great job. They removed the old roof, let me know if there were any problems with the wood underneath (there weren't), put on a new roof, cleaned up the area, they even cleaned out my existing gutters. They did such a good job, I asked if they could add some gutters to the front of my house and they did that too, the next day!

While our job description and work order clearly stated what to do, the foreman did not read the instructions. What resulted was that one of our load-bearing walls was torn down. Luckily, no damage incurred and they did fix their error. This all could have been avoided if the main foreman had followed protocol instead of acting of his own accord. I would never recommend or use this company again.

The contractor scheduled an appointment, appeared on time, promptly provided an estimate. I was told that they had a lot of work and it would take a while before they could perform all the repairs. They offered to immediately patch the leaks and then scheduled the rest of the repair within a month. They did an excellent job in terms of communications, responsiveness and reliability.

They were very good. I will use them again for sure. They gave me some estimates on upcoming projects I have planned.

Bill Mossberg came out to the house for the estimate the day after I had called. He was prompt and professional. He asked questions and seemed prepared. We told him we had put in a claim for hail damage and he offered to work directly with the insurance company to make sure everything worked out. We received quotes from several highly rated Angie's List contractors and chose Bill because his quote was slightly under the insurance claim amount so no haggling. We also felt Bill and Lakewoods would be very receptive to questions and concerns that might arise during the project. The roofers were prompt and courteous. I was concerned about my gardens, and they DID make a mess, but they cleaned it up very well. Bill came back before the job was complete to make repairs to a plastic snow fence that had been pulled down by shingles. He also stopped by the day after the project was completed to make sure everything was immaculately cleaned up and to ask if we had any concerns. He made sure we were fully satisfied. He also was very understanding of working through the insurance company to receive full payment. I would highly recommend Bill and Lakewoods to others.

We were in desperate need of new windows. The old ones were original to the house and most did not open or close anymore. Two of the bedrooms were freezing in the winter and hot in the summer, and we didn't want our kids going through another winter with a breeze in their rooms! The salesman (Bill) was very knowledgeable and pleasant, and the two guys who came out to take out the old windows and put the new ones in completed the job in just about one work day. We weren't left overnight with openings, which was much appreciated! They were incredibly clean and more than willing to help move a few pieces of furniture out of the way. Everyone was friendly and trustworthy, and they were efficient on the job. We were also impressed with their great prices. we couldn't be happier with our new windows, and the trim looks great, too! We would definitely use them again. Lakewoods Remodeling exceeded our expectations.

I would definitely consider using them again and it would depend on the job. Some companies do some things better than the others.

After our roof was damaged in a summer hail storm, our insurance company authorized a roof replacement. Wanting the biggest long-term bang for our buck, we did some research and decided to go with roofing material that would improve our home's efficiency and avoid the icedams we experienced in the past. Lakewoods representative, Scott Rise, was by far the most knowledgable contractor we spoke to about alternative roofing materials. We checked his information with other sources and decided on a quality metal roof material that looks no different from our neighbors' architectual shingles, but with the efficiency benefits of metal.We had to wait a couple of weeks for the materials to arrive since they aren't used commonly in this area, but Scott kept us informed. Once the process was underway, the roof work itself was done impressively quickly and professionally over the course of three days. The crew was hard-working, respectful, and tidy throughout the process. Scott and Steve, who was on-site with the crew, were responsive to questions we had while the work was in progress. The roof looks fantastic and we feel very relieved to have it done in time for the snow to fall. Lakeswoods definitely went the extra mile for us. From the very beginning, Scott spent a lot of time carefully reviewing all the damage the hail storm may have caused that was missed in the initial insurance estimate. His efforts yielded a 40% increase in the payout from out insurance company! Lakewoods also went the extra mile after our insurance company didn't approve some of the recommended siding replacement. They returned after the roof replacement to repair siding panels, absorbing some of the costs themselves.

Project went smoothly from bidding to completion. I'm happy with the work. The crew was very friendly and did a good job cleaning up. The support from their office was very friendly and efficient. Each person I interacted with at this firm made me feel important and as though they valued my business. Recommended!

Excellent work from all this company's personnel. It is nice to know there are still competent professionals out there. They repaired a roof leak that had caused some damage to my living room ceiling, adjusted some siding on my house that had buckled, installed a new .storm door, addressed all my concerns, and answered all questions in a professional manner. I am definitely going to have them back for future projects I have planned.

Everything was laid out in full from the type of materials to the number of nails per shingle. Bill answered all of my questions and concerns about the project and even suggested that we add another vent on the back of the house. Both the project manager and Bill stopped by during the shingling to make sure I had all my questions answered. They did a good job of cleaning the area around the house when they were done. We only found one small nail on the driveway. This was not unexpected as they had warned us to check the driveway because a nail may fall off the dumpster. The whole shingling process was very enjoyable and stress-free. I would recommend Lakewoods to anyone interested in roofing their house.

Bill and the crew at Lakewoods Remodeling couldn't have done a better job on my new roof and gutters. They initially stood out from the other companies I got estimates from because of the detail provided in their bid. Everything was laid out in full from the type of materials that would be used, down to the clean-up process. In addition to the detailed estimate, Bill answered all of my questions and concerns about the project. I had a few special requests like making a new kitchen vent and he was more than happy to explain how the work would be completed. He even went as far as getting up on the roof with me to show how they would address each of my specific concerns. Once the work got under way, the crew was very professional and courteous. What really stood out to me was that each of the crew members had a copy of the notes that Bill took with me earlier. In addition to this, Bill was on site at the beginning and end of the day to check over the work. Every specific area Bill and I had talked about was done to my complete satisfaction. Once they were finished with the whole project, my family and I were extremely happy with how great the house looked. They cleaned up the area around the house very well and we only found one small nail that had been left behind under the dumpster. They made sure to warn us to check under and around the dumpster after it had been removed for this very reason, so this was not unexpected. We will definitely be going back to Lakewoods for our future construction needs. The whole process was very enjoyable and stress-free and we couldn't be more happy with the end results!

The representative from Lakewoods Remodeling, Bill, was very easy to work with. When he came out to give me an estimate, he answered all of my questions and explained what they would do in detail. The job was completed in a day and a half. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up.

Workers showed up on time and worked until the job was complete. Workers were courteous and cleaned up afterwards. The project manager came by the next day and made sure the satellite dish cable was anchored in place. Overall I was pleased with the work.

The crew followed my construction specifications completely.

These guys were awesome!!! My husband and I had 6 companies come out (all from Angie's List) and bid the job. Lakewoods' estimate was very fair, detailed and we had many questions about different options and Steve was more than willing to make any changes to the estimate. The workers showed up on time and did a tremendous job! There were a few hiccups along the way with the insulation company having the wrong start date, but Steve worked it out with them and kept the project on schedule. It was a huge project for them, but the work was meticulous and the clean-up after the job was completed was fantastic. All of the crew were very friendly, caring and kept us informed as to their progress. Steve and his crew worked on our house as if it was one of theirs. I very highly recommend this company for any roofing work that you may need done. We didn't need any deck, siding or window work done, but when we do, we will be calling them back!

The roof was completed in one day. The workers were efficient, courteous and cleaned up so well you couldn't tell that a new roof was put on. The deck was done approximately 2 weeks later, it took 2-3 days to complete the deck which turned out great. We have received good comments from the neighbors on the appearance of the deck. The gutter and fix on the gutter was done shortly after the deck was done. All of this work was done timely, professionally and everyone cleaned up the work area from all debris and excess material so that you couldn't tell we had work done.

We decided to use Lakewoods Remodeling based on the detail used to break down the estimate. There were minimal questions outside the detailed estimate that needed to be asked. Shawn did our estimate. Decided to hire them just outside of our 30 days window and was notified there would be no increase in price. Husband stopped by the main office to pick up shingle samples to pick out the color. Mailed in the deposit and let them know. They called and said they could fit our job in the next week(8/23) since we picked the color. On the day of the installation, it rained early in the morning(7am). We had to call to find out when/if the crew was to arrive or if they were cancelling around 9am. Tear off did not start until mid-day. Some tarp was placed around the house, however most of the materials torn off missed the tarp completely. Crews were using a pitchfork to tear off the old roof and dropped it down the front of the house, puncturing the gutter downspout. We called to notify Shawn of the damage and that we would call to get estimate to replace. We agreed to deduct $15 from final bill. After most of the tear off was complete, a crew of 2-3 men continued to shingle the house until dark, around 8:30 pm. On the second day, the crew did not arrive until 10 am. They continued to finish installing the balance of the vents. Finally, they started on the side of the house where the fireplace is. Due to ordinance updates, they had to install a channel under the siding next to the house. When they cut the siding, they did such a poor job, they had large 'globs' of clear caulk sealing the gape they made. They finished the roof, cleaned up and left. Of course, we are still finding pieces of siding and nails, which I think is normal. We went out to inspect the roof to make sure everything was complete and noticed the side by the fireplace. My husband called Shawn and he was to come out Thursday or Friday and he would fix the siding himself. On Friday, the inspector showed up and would not approve the permit due to the poor job on the siding, risking water penetration and siding by peak of roof being 'cracked'. I called the office and let them know that the inspection did not pass, and we were holding final payment until it did. They immediately scheduled an appt for Wednesday the following week. My husband called Shawn and he said he could not come out as he had something personal to take care of but he would come out Monday 8/29 or Tuesday 8/30. On Monday during dinner time a crew showed up to replace the siding. Dean called Shawn to let him know the siding was completed and we could not figure out what was wrong by the peak of the roof. Shawn said he would call the inspector himself and set up a time when he could be there with the inspector. We also asked Shawn to pick up the samples and he said he would do so. On Tuesday, 9/4 we called Lakewoods Remodeling and told them that the inspection still has not been completed and that Shawn had wanted to be there. Again, reiterated, we were holding final payment. Shawn called and notified us the inspector would be out there on 9/6 between 10 - 12. The inspector approved the permit. Shawn never appeared with the inspector nor picked up the samples which are still on our front porch. I guess I would use them again, but maybe ask for someone other than Shawn to work with. Also, beware of the siding issue. The roof itself was an overall good job, really seems buttoned up on top and thru the attic. We are making the final payment today, less the agreed upon $15 for the gutter damage.

Steve Miller has demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and customer service. He is prompt in his communications and follow up. His crews are respectful, thorough and neat. I trust Steve.

I contacted 3 different roofing companies to give us a quote to fix the facia, soffits and gutters which we damaged due to ice dam damage. Scott, the owner of Lakewoods, came by within a few days and he gave me a quote within a few more days. He explained everything to me and also suggested that we pipe in some real insulation since we had nearly none in our attic space. There was a little delay due to our insurance adjuster and uncooperative weather (super hot), but all of the work was then completed within a couple of weeks. Scott and his crew were great--professional, quick, and responsive. The insurance paid for the roof damage and we paid for the insulation. Overall, we were very happy with Lakewoods Remodeling!

Steve Miller came out to examine the roof and recommended replacing only the sections that are likely causing the problems and putting in a couple of preventative measures to reduce the chances of the ice dam happening again. The bid was very competitive and Steve was extremely helpful throughout the entire process as was the office staff with respect to which day the crew would arrive due to rain and heat delays on other jobs. The crew arrived the day we were told and even came earlier than anticipated. They did an excellent job. All the layers of shingles were removed, decking inspected, ice and water shield put down and new shingles put on. The crew discovered one section had 4 layers of shingles, which required more work than initially anticipated. The crew leader Victor was on site except to get lunch for the crew. Steve stopped in twice to check on things, answer questions and work with the insulation company to complete their job that couldn't be done last winter due to the ice dam. Steve, the insulation person and Victor, crew leader, discussed adding vents to the front of the house, which was not even on the agenda. The vents, not in the initial plan, were added and everything went even more smoothly than we expected. The crew was very accommodating to the tweaks made to ensure the leaking has ended, the venting improved. The crew cleaned up well. As an aside, winter 2011, Lakewoods helped us with the ice dam in a very timely manner and charged us their normal rate NOT the off-the-charts rate other companies were charging. In 2009, we used Lakewoods for the flat roof on a different section of our house. They were the 3rd company to work on this roof and the only one to get it right. Summer 2010, they installed a gutter on our garage so water can be routed into the rain garden rather than into the storm sewer. We will absolutely use Lakewoods for future roofing-related projects and get a bid from them for other remodeling projects.
