We weren't around while the actual work was done, but the end result looks good. So far nothing leaks! They cleaned up nicely and came back to do some minor work on a section of the garage that was missed. They were always available by phone and e-mail and most of documents were sent electronically! True 20th century work. Overall I'm pretty happy with them and will recommend them to others.

I have been very satisfied with what I have seen so far.

Although I didn't wind up using this company, the salesman was courteous and knowledgeable, and the bid was competitive.

They did a good job. They just threw it off the roof and landed on my bushes. I made the mistake of saying I would take it off the bushes myself but it was really hard and compacted

We had several Angie's list companies come and give us bids on the siding repair. Scott took the time to really look at the job. He found several places that I had not seen that needed repair. He took the time to explain things that needed to be done to my wife. He left us with an estimate in hand. Their price was reasonable as were the other bidders. The work was well done and Scott was very responsive to our calls.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Scott Rise and Lakewoods Remodeling Inc. They came and finished the job on time and professionally. The property was cleaner after they worked on the roof. They also were very honest by telling me they did not use the amount of insulation that was quoted and gave me a rebate. I would have no idea about this but Scott and Lakewoood Remodeling has morals and respect for the customer. I would strongly suggest using Lakewood Remodeling I

I would call them again. They were fine and I have hired them again. They were nice and they did break a cable of mine but they came back fixed it.

I had a very positive experience with Lakewoods after deciding to replace my peeling roof. I called the office and Bill called me right back. He came out and did an estimate later that week and explained all of the potential pitfalls with an older home's roof. He was open and honest and was able to give me a competitive bid. He was also easy to work with and always accessible for questions. Ultimately my roof was both a total tear off and a complete redeck. The crew was crazy fast and worked into the night to get the new new decking on and half the roof finished. When the madness ended, the crew did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely recommend Bill and the Lakewoods crew to anyone who needs to have their roof done!

$875.00 Way overpriced.

Although I ended up using a different company, I was very pleased with the service and estimate I received from Lakewoods. Bill came out and thoroughly went over my roof, answered all my questions and provided a very competitive quote. While at my house, Bill also questioned what I wanted done with my very old gutters and supplied me with several possible options. Since I hadn't even considered them, I was very glad he brought them up because newer gutters are attached to the roof differently than my old ones. I have no hesitation in recommending Lakewoods for any of your roofing projects - they really impressed me!

The company sent someone out to my house almost immediately to discuss the project and what events will happen. The satalite image and new cost estimate were handled very quickly. The roof color was a little difficult to choose, since the color that I was interested in was only available on a sample board that they brought - and the sample board images were only a square inch in size. I felt a little better about the color selection when later I went on-line and using the color name and the name of the company who produced the shingles, I could see a larger pictures of houses completed in the color that I wanted. There was a bit of a wait as the company had to complete other roofing projects before getting to me. The actual work done is amazingly fast. A completely new roof in only two days. The new shingles look great, it's a huge improvement to the house. I was a little disappointed that the metallic step flashing added between the roof and any of the vertical surfaces was left exposed. Also I have noticed that line of the new roof is not level, along its bottom horizontal run on the back of the house, and not vertical in the front of the house where two slopes come together at a point. Also, I think that there are some extra shingles that were inadvertantly left on the roof above a sky-light.

Bill was excellent at walking us through the roofing process. He answered all our questions honestly and didn't rush through the estimate visit. Patiently waited for a response from us as we did invite other companies to bid. Pricing was fair and right in line with other companies. It was our interactions with Bill that pushed Lakewoods to the top of our list. Our timing was tricky with a summer vacation approaching, but they were able to schedule our roof quickly right before the July 4th holiday. Victor and his crew were efficient and friendly during the job. Entire roofing job (2-story roof and front porch) was completed in less than a day. We were surprised twice, once with the timing of the roofing crew (knew the day, but not the time -luckily we had assumed it would start early that day) and then with the gutter install (left to run a few errands, when I returned new gutters had magically appeared). This was not a problem for us, but thought it was odd not to have a heads up to the schedule. We've been very happy with our new roof and gutters and are glad we chose Lakewoods.

Guys were punctual. Pretty large crew focused on getting in and out. Not sure they could carry on a conversation in English, as I was directed to talk to the boss. Not a.problem, as they were all very focused on their work.

They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Very refreshing to find a company that actually does what it says it will do. Large 37 square roof, started and finished in one day. All debris removed. Roof looks great.

I had two or three bids for the roof. Steve from Lakewoods showed up on time and was professional and came in with a very fair bid, explaining my options for upgrade and what the price differences were. After awarding them the business they communicated via my preferred communication channel (email, not that common for this industry) and we got all the paperwork squared away. They alerted me a few days before they were available for installation and were flexible when I suggested another day.The roof went up in one day. It looks great! There were a few minor damages done to our property (scraped back porch, trim a bit damaged) and I called Steve and he came same day to take a look and made plans to make it right. Overall it was a very smooth experience especially compared to other projects I've been a part of recently and the price was right. I would definitely recommend!

Our experience with Lakewoods Remodeling was completely satisfactory.

Each contact was professional, prompt and courteous and the end result looks great. This company is customer focused, knows what a good job is and most importantly, how to do it. Scott helped at the beginning by guiding us though the paperwork for a Certainteed organic shingle class action settlement, even before we had signed on with Lakewoods. We then received an estimate that was slightly lower than 2 others. On the scheduled day, the crew arrived around 7:00 AM and was completely done with the tear-off, replace, and clean up by about 4:30. We will certainly look to Lakewoods Remodeling first for any other needs that we have. Thank you Lakewoods and thank you Angie's List for connecting us with a great company.

Very good. He was prompt and knew his subject. We are comfortable going into winter and that was our objective.

They did a great job! The house looks like a brand new house and has huge curb appeal now. Bill Mossberg was my sales rep, and he was very helpful assisting me with color choices as well as with architectural upgrades like shakes and accent boards. His suggestions really made the final result look even better. Bill was onsite frequently during the project and called me daily to check-in. The crew that did the siding was really top notch. Mark did a fantastic job overall and fixed any spots where there was water issues and he sealed every crack so the house is 100% water tight. Every inch of the house looks perfect, and is sealed and caulked beautifully. I am not sure how Mark managed it, but there are very few seams and the seams that are there, are not very noticable. Other contractors that I have subsequently hired (concrete work, deck) have commented on what a great job was done, and even asked for Bill's card so they could call him. I receive compliments every day from neighbors and people walking past about how nice it looks. It was a pleasure to work with Lakewoods. They were professional, on time, extremely skilled, and there were no surprises. This is one of the best firms I have ever worked with.

Terrifically! They arrived just after 7:00 a.m. with a 10 person crew. Within a half hour, they had removed all the old shingles and began assessing what all they needed to do. The insulating crew arrived and began evening out the old insulation and adding vents. The insulating crew was done by a little after noon. While on the roof, the roofing crew determined that much of the decking had been water damaged and was warped. During the estimate process, Scott suggested that he would need to replace some of the decking. They replaced the decking, nailed the roofing down, and completed the whole job by 5:00. The yard and driveway were neatly cleaned up.I was impressed by the politeness, professionalism, and skill of whole crew. I would definitely use and recommend Lakewoods to friends and family.

I used the Angie's List big deal, so they did the whole house plus the garage for $7,799, the permit was an extra $190. New roofs look and function great. I also paid extra to have a porch re-roofed at a different house of mine. I was able to be there during the whole process for the porch re-roofing, but I wasn't able to be there for any of the garage or main house re-roofing. Shawn Rise came out and gave me the estimates for both jobs, he was OK. He was friendly and pretty helpful, but wasn't overly informative. I asked him a few questions about the house and garage after they were done, and he never answered my questions. So I called up the main office and the lady who answered the phone helped me out and did a good job explaining things to me (I wanted to know what they found underneath the old roof, whether there was any rotting wood--there wasn't--and whether they knew where the old roof was leaking from). The guys who came out and did the porch re-roofing did a fantastic job. They were very friendly and informative. Steve Miller was especially good. He answered all my questions in significant detail, and even gave me a bunch of tips on how to build a deck on top of the new roof in the future. He also gave me tips on how to prevent rotting wood in the future, and showed me what to do to protect some of the wood framing on the windows of my home. There were a couple things left at my house after the project by the crew. But I called Steve the next day and he came right out and picked them up, and even stayed and chatted for a while about the new roof. He is a very helpful guy. Though I wasn't able to be there for the main house and garage re-roofing at the other property, the roofs look and function great. The yard was clean, no debris left behind. The job was done quickly. I have no complaints whatsoever. This is a good company.

After our first phone conversation with the scheduler, Sharon, we had a hunch we found the right contractor. After Steve visited and e-mailed the estimate a few hours later, we cancelled our appointment with a second company. Maybe not the best move, but I trusted my gut -- and it paid off. Lakewoods has a stellar reputation according to the Angie's List grades and reviews, but the professionalism and honesty demonstrated by Steve during his initial visit is what sold us. For instance, he told us that we had another few years left on the roof and that the siding was in good shape. We decided to go ahead with the job anyway after receiving the bid, which came in lower than expected. Still, it's pretty rare for a salesperson to tell a prospective buyer that he's in no hurry to buy his service or product. Before we signed the estimate/contract, Steve gave us an approximate job date that was two weeks out and told us he'd provide two days' notice of an arrival date and time. He then gave us samples of different colored shingles and thereafter helped us decided between the two options we liked, Estate Gray or Colonial Slate (he suggested the Colonial Slate to complement our dark red door). Two weeks later, we received the call. Steve himself arrived with the Lakewoods crew to introduce me to the crew supervisor, Victor. Throughout the day, Steve checked in a number of times to make sure the job was being performed according to his standards. Victor and his crew were courteous and professional. For instance, before removing the old roof, they gently covered the plants and flowers that surround the home. The crew worked hard and quickly throughout the day, and Victor was attentive and responsive on those few occasions when we stepped out to chat, never losing his patience. The second part of the job entailed replacement of rotted siding and trim on the front of our detached garage. That job was completed a week after the roofing job. The subcontractor, Ryan Knapp of Citywide Exteriors, is a masterful carpenter who was able to complete the job in half a day. Like the roofing crew, he was extremely professional and courteous. In the end, the work and the final product itself exceeds our expectations. The roof with the new vents looks great. Although we only had two rows of siding and trim replaced around the garage door, it looks like an entirely new garage. In looking at our house now and reliving our experience in dealing with Sharon, Steve, Victor and his crew, and Ryan, we couldn't be more satisfied and we give them our strongest endorsement.

I was extremely impressed with Lakewoods, and highly recommend them. My 25 year old roof was leaking in three places that I knew about, and looked its age. The roof is pretty big, so I got estimates from Lakewoods as well as 4 other contractors that I found on Angies list. I met with Steve Miller for the estimate, and he was very thorough and appeared to be quite knowledgeable. Their estimate was very competitive with the other bidders, and I chose them. The work began a week or two later, and the crew was led by Victor, who had been working with the company a long time and was very helpful answering any of my questions. Steve Miller was the supervisor and he was at the site several times a day to make sure everything was going as planned. They did the work on time, a full cleanup each day, and a walkthrough with Steve at the end. In short, I got a beautiful new roof on time, with no over charges and a great warranty. I would definitely hire them again.
