When my elderly mother moved to assisted living and needed help with her pets, we engaged Kritter Sitters. THEY WERE OUTSTANDING! With pet care, you need to know the provider is reliable. Kritter Sitters NEVER missed a walk -- no matter the weather, holidays, traffic, etc. They were always there. Not only that they were very courteous, provided excellent communication (as I don't live near my mother, they would let me know if they thought the dog needed some additional attention), and were extremely kind to the animals. They went above and beyond -- sometimes washing the dog's bedding, agreeing to give medication, and helping when the dog was sick. And the dog loved them -- always happy to see them arrive, tail wagging and adoring.

After a few months of dog walks, we added in taking care of the cat's litter when my mother could no longer manage that. This cat is older and has had some health problems so it was important this service be done on a reliable basis. Again fabulous communication and care.

Nancy has been our pet sitter for several years. She is the greatest pet sitter I have ever worked with.
I truly appreciate that she confirms pet sitting dates right before I go out of town. She checks in with me after her first visit. If I contact her for anything, she always gets back with me immediately.
It is great to have peace of mind when going out of town. One of my pets is 18 years old and Nancy keeps him content and comfortable when I am away.

I have had Nancy tend to my cats for the past 9 years as I travel frequently for work. I have worked with other cat sitters but they don't compare to the service that Nancy provides. She is professional and what I appreciate the most about her is the communication she provides to me both before, during and after my trips. She provides an update when I get home of how the visit went and any concerns that she has about the cats or the environment. I had a cousin who was staying with me and that was providing care prior to Nancy starting her services and Nancy shared with me the concern about the lack of clean water that was being provided to the cats and I know that wasn't easy for her given that it was a family member. Because I wanted the best care for my cats, that situation was remedied, thanks to her bringing it to my attention.

Nancy of Kritter Sitters came to look in on our cat over Thanksgiving weekend. This was the first time we hired her and she was terrific. We made an appointment a few weeks before to go over routines and such. Our cat, Ellie, has a special diet and it didn't faze Nancy a bit. Nancy was on time and professional. Ellie, was well taken care of and we would use Kritter Sitters again!

Nancy is fabulous - she communicates with her clients from start to finish. She is in contact with them prior to the trip just to confirm the dates they will be onsite. My trip was extended longer than expected and she went out of her way to make sure I was covered for pet care during this time. She even offered a discount since the trip went so long - totall unexpected when I came home to find this on the invoice. I feel very comfortable with Nancy taking care of my pets if I am away from home.

My experience with Nancy has been very good. She called me the first day she was at my house to let me know that she was there and expected me to call when I got home. This is the type of detail that makes me comforted in knowing my cats are well taken care of. I come home from my trip and she has cleaned up and removed all used litter. Food cans are neatly stacked in the dish strainer and mail is stacked in the kitchen. Very professional in the job that was done.

I was very pleased with the way things went. I was nervous about leaving the dog (I don't worry about the cats). Nancy called me on my cell phone after her first visit to report that everything was fine, and she called once or twice during the vacation to reassure me all was well. She was well-prepared for problems, anticipated and unanticipated. We did not have any problems but I felt very comfortable with all the bases she covered based on her experience. I already have her lined up for my next trip.

NANCY IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Not only did she give excellent and dependable care to my 2 cats, she also collected my mail from the mailbox, fed my fish, cleaned the litter box, and even offered to water the plants! Nancy has a policy of calling her clients upon her initial entry into the home, and she requests a call upon their return just to make sure the animals never go unattended. Nancy genuinely loves animals, and they are obviously drawn to her. Nancy is a true professional who understands and provides exactly what her clients need and want. I would not have had as enjoyable of a trip if it wasn't for KRITTER SITTERS caring for my feline Americans!

We had a very good experience and will use Kritter Sitters again. Nancy came to the house before we left, met the cat, went over her fees with us, and so on. She asked about vet contacts, whether we wanted her to water plants, collect mail and papers, etc. There was no charge for the initial visit. Everything was done as she promised. She phoned the first day to say she had been able to get into the house ok, so we knew all was well. Molly still had plenty of dry food and water left when we arrived home about 20 hours after Nancy's last visit. From our limited research the price ($14. for a 20-min. cat visit) seemed competitive in our area (university area, Minneapolis).
