We worked with Kris and the rest of his crew at KD Painting to paint our house this summer (2024). Kris was outstanding through the whole process. He kept open lines of communication about scheduling (given our wet spring) and the overall process. His crew is great as well. All of them were super friendly, hard working and had great attention to detail. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone.

Kris helped us with the paint colors.  He enploys a wonderful crew.....very friendly, professional in the truest sense of the word.

Kris is reliable: everyone worked steadily.  They had music playing but didn't "blast out" the neighborhood with their music.  Clean up was complete.  When there was a question about any of the paining he immediately asked for clarification.

We would hire Kris again in a heartbeat!

Repeated use of KD Painting and their attentiveness to detail, their committment to make the homeower happy and their committment to quality is impecable. They are a team of professionals who simply set about to do a superb job to provide total customer satsifaction.

The work was/is perfect. He did an excellent job. We had a couple of cracks on a living room wall which had been repaired by a pervious owner but resurfaced over time. Kris did an outstanding job of fixing the crack and smoothing out the wall, as well as filling a couple of old picture holes. He repainted the entire room and the repaired wall had never looked so good. We also had work done in a room in the basement which had received some water. He removed drywall up 2 feet from the floor for about 2/3s of the room to make sure there was no mold, etc, and replaced that drywall, mudded and sanded. We were going to prime and paint that area ourselves to save somemoney, but he did the priming and painting to make sure he could see that his work looked OK. As a result, he did some additional work and painted again to perfect his work. We did a 2nd coat of paint for the entire room just to make sure the blend of old and new paint wouldn't show. He's considerate, courteous, cleans up very well and was very easy to talk to and work with. We'd have him back anytime. He's a perfectionist and really knows what he's doing.

We received a couple of estimates and Kris's bid came in at or below our other bids. We asked him to do the job because of his thorough estimate and his ability to accomodate our timeline. We are elated at the results. Kris and his crew were extremely punctual, professional, and the finished product looks great. Kris touched base with us everyday on the progress they were making and finished the job on time. We plan to have him back to do another job including woodwork staining.

We have used this company for exterior work in the past and were satisfied, but did a major rehab where they did the interior paint, and it was a disaster. The owner of the company admitted that he underbid the job was hurrying through it as a result, and had not ever painted trim that was not pre-primed, and the results were in keeping with those statements. His workers blew debris from the floor of the site into the fresh paint, and most seriously, they failed to knock down the grain of the new trim with some light sanding after priming, so all of our brand new trim was roughly finished where it should have been smooth. The owner came by several times to try to correct the problem, but the only way to fix the issue was to redo the trim. Ultimately, we just gave up.

Gave us an estimate on Monday and started painting on Tuesday At 7:00 am and finished Friday morning.

We were very happy with KD Painting's work. The interior surfaces of the wood windows had been damaged over time by sun exposure and by condensation and badly needed to be lightly sanded and resealed. KD Painting's work was very thorough and neat, and they took care to protect other areas of the home from dust generated by the sanding. Owner Kris Dorn and his assistant were very easy to have around, and they finished up the job in two days, as promised. We plan to have KD Painting back in the spring to do additional windows in need of the same treatment.

Kris, owner, responded promptly to my inquiry and scheduled estimate within the week. On time, courteous, asked clarifying questions. Returned estimate to me within a couple of days via email. Able to start the work 2 weeks later and finished it in 4 full days. Worked with small crew, very professional and competent. Take pride in their work. Trustworthy, I could leave them and go to work without worrying. If questions came up in the course of the work, Kris called me for clarification. Finished job looks great. I would hire them again.

Excellent. They arrived punctually at 8:00 AM and worked steadily until 4:30 each day. My house is full of furniture. I removed breakables and they moved the furniture to the center of the room as the ceilings did not need painting. I appreciated that they would move the furniture as I could not. They were neat and clean and did an excellent job. The paint job is top-notch and looks great. I highly recommend them. They asked me if there were any problems or concerns several times.

After contacting several painting contractors, we were very pleased with our decision to hire KD Painting. Kris Dorn is very attentive to detail and took the time necessary to complete this job to our expectations. He and his crew were professional, courteous, and prompt.
