Very good and very honest, they've told us that our car need not be fixed which other service center told us that it needs to be fixed and JPT saved us from eventual and unnecessary repairs on our car.

My dad always drove 10+ year-old cars, and he's been going to JPT for many years and insisted I call them for my 2003 van. You need to schedule and appointment and leave your car there for the day (mine was ready in the early afternoon). They communicated well, talked me out of doing a bunch of things I brought up myself, and charged a very reasonable price. These guys are so honest and helpful.

I have used JPT for several years. I find them to be the lowest cost and most honest mechanics. I always know that they are going to try to repair my issue rather than recommend a complete replacement. I brought my Explorer in due to a loud exhaust. They replaced it with a $47 flange kit and $90 in labor rather than recommend a new exhaust for a vehicle with 150,000 miles. I always trust what they say. They aren't fancy, but recently put in a waiting room.

I purchursed a used high-mile vehicle and took it to another mechanic for an inspection. We received a laundry list of issues. The ball joints were the most pressing. JPT's price was several hundred dollars lower than the competition. When asked about the other issues (such as an exhaust), he said he did not see as much of an issue and offerred to repair it should it become an issue rather than replace it knowing the high mile vehicle was not something we wanted to dump a lot of money into. JPT is consistently less expensive than other mechanics and I feel they are motivated to provide excellent pricing. The office isn't much to look at and it is a drive to get there from my house but worth it.

Our daughter was leaving for school and we wanted to make sure her car was in good condition. We knew she needed brakes so they inspected those and replaced them. They also did a full vehicle inspection for us.
Curt and Pat do outstanding work!! If something needs fixing they will do it right the first time. Also, if something does not need to be fixed - they will let you know that too and not just go ahead and replace something that does not need to be replaced.
I hate to write this review because they are so busy now that they are sometimes hard to get ahold of..

My daughter has a 2000 Ford Explorer that has 185,000 miles on it. She has been using it at college. We wanted to know if the engine was good and if there were any mechanical issues or safety issues we should address. JPT has worked on our other vehicles and has always been thorough and fair. When you have a problem, they fix it and are very reasonable.

I like them very much. Their prices are always very reasonable. They always seem very honest. Two different places told me I needed a new transmission in my last car. I went to them and they said I had a small transmission leak which they fixed. I never had a problem again.

My 1981 Oldsmobile was making grinding noises and I had JPT examine it. Turned out that the undercarriage of the car was so rusted out that JPT recommended that the car not be repaired. It was no longer safe to drive. JPT did not charge me for the time that they put into examining the car. They also recommended a place where I could dispose of the car. I have used JPT for years and they have always given me good service at a good price. I appreciated the time that they took to examine the car and their willingness to not charge me for not doing a repair. Most shops will charge you something to tell you that they cannot repair the car.

I called JPT service to see if they could look at my car and figure out what was wrong with my van. The gentleman on the phone said that he could look at my van but I would need to drop it off and "I will get around to looking at it and let you know" I explained that I do not have another car and couldn't leave my van with him for an extended amount of time and not know when I would get it back again. Didn't use this provider because he couldn't look at it the same day that I brought it in.

I have gone to JPT for years and have always felt that they gave me great service at a very reasonable price. On this particular occasion my car was shaking going done the road. Turned out that one of the engine mount brackets had broken. Fixed it at a very reasonable price of $170.00.
They are usually very busy so you usually have to schedule about a week in advance to get in.

JPT Services are very fair. He checks things out and gives a price before doing the work. He is very honest. He doesn't tell you there are things wrong when they aren't. His mechanics are very knowledgeable, very good. They don't mind taking something back and fixing it for free if it doesn't work. They are very busy because they are popular.

They have always done a wonderful job. They provide straight answers and good advice when requested. They have also stood behind their work. They replaced a steering rack for me three times! Not due to anything they did but due to faulty parts, I only paid for the parts and labor the first time. They were determined to do the job right. We will continue to use JPT for all of our vehicles.

They are very busy, so it took a while to get in. Once there, they did the routine maintenance (timing belt, water pump) as expected and on-time, for a reasonable cost. The check engine light was more difficult and is a continuing project (not surprisingly with this type of problem).
The solution of the rattle problem required a second visit and all of their years of experience to diagnose. This type of problem is a car owner's worst nightmare. The service provider essentially has carte blanc to do and charge anything they want in the pursuit of "the noise". JPT did their detective work conservatively and intelligently, consulted other resources, and eventually found and fixed the problem at a very reasonable cost. Impressive.
Overall, I was thrilled with the job the did and the trust they instilled in me. Having a car mechanic one can trust is priceless, and in this case, worth the difficulty getting hold of them on the phone and having to wait a while to get in. They're a small 3 man shop and don't have a perky high school girl to ask "how may I direct you call?" But once you get hold of them, you'll be talking with honest guys who know their stuff.
