JOHN A UBL

John was very professional and came out on time. He has all the tools and is knowledgeable. The cost was about $100/hr which is quite expensive. The work was done professionally and no invoice was given, still awaiting for a text to confirm payment was made.

John was great to work with. got the door installed, put up molding so that it could be easily removed when I was ready to stain.  Even installed a little threshold to transition between the door and the floor.  He was prompt, nice, and seemed prepared to handle any issues if any were to come up.  The door looks and functions great.  I would definitely use him again.

He does fast work.  He finished when he said he would.  I would use him again if I needed fast work done.

It went very well.

Overall the install of the entry door and storm door went well. John also installed a new lock and handle on the front door. I spoke with other contractors before John and all of them tried to up sell me by stating that I would have to replace the entire entry (two side lights and door) vs just a new slab for the door frame. John took the measurements and confirmed that we would only have to replace the slab, his honesty immediately won him the business.
I also asked John to realign a number of doors that were not closing properly. The doors were rubbing at the latch when closing. Initially I thought it was due to the season and doors swelling, but John informed me it was the original builder not installing the door correctly. Issue has been correct with all of the doors and I haven't encountered any issues since.
His prices were fair and I appreciate his honesty, which is why I would recommend him to my friends.

I first contacted him to replace a window and the frame of the window. It is one of our basement windows and I gather it is very moist and the entire thing had rotted through. He came and we discussed that. Then I asked him if he would be able to replace the keypad for my garage door opener. He looked at and the motor and gave me the model number and since it was a Craftman, I went to Sears. The people there said that the garage door opener was a model number he had never seen before and that they could not help. So then, he tried his sources and said that they were unable to help either. Since the motor was original to the house (1987), I would need to replace. He suggested a hp of above a certain number (I don't remember the number.) and I found one online for a quite reasonable price. Once it arrived, he came a few days later to install it. Then, the window arrived. He brought it over. And then on the next clear day, installed it. He took part of his lunch to pick up some necessary parts and returned to finish the job. Then he took all of the stuff he took out with him for him to dispose of. He came by for mr to give him the last of the money I owed him and in the meantime, the door on the side if the garage would no longer close, so we scheduled for him to pick up a new door and install that one. I then paid him for that work as well. I do have some more projects planned for these winter months and plan on having him do work for those!

John is not only extremely punctual, but very cooperative and professional; a JOY to work with!

John was just great! He was fast, efficient and so nice! He was super good and super nice.

He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He gives suggestions, but is open to your ideas as well. We had a small stress crack and he came out immediately to fix it. He is very dependable and trustworthy and cleans up after himself. I would definitely use him again and have recommended him to many people. Even the building inspector was impressed!
