 + -1 moreWe are not at pleased with the workmanship or the service we have received from Mr. Johnson. We are the first owners of this home and we cannot get Mr. Johnson to make good on repairs that he is to make. He is rude, his floor subcontractor is rude (which Mr. Johnson agrees with), and our experience so far has not been acceptable.
Description of Work: We purchased our new home from Jay Johnson Custom Homes in January 2006. Upon our final walk through several repairs were needed and they were noted. After our move in a major gas leak was found in the family room fireplace, and problems were detected in the lower level heating vents. After several phone calls to Mr. Johnson and nothing was done we finally called Center Point Energy who came out and solved the gas leak. The hardwood floor in the kitchen is coming up and we are told to wait several more months for that to be corrected. The deck off the dining area has been inspected by a licensed inspector we hired, and has been reported to be of less than professional quality and marginally safe. Mr. Johnson said that we wasted our money. Any subcontractor Mr. Johnson used in the building of this house have not made any repairs that have needed to be done and none are on the horizon.
