 + -1 moreIt went beautifully and the end product is quite a pleasant surprise, even exceeding our expectations. Initially Grant came over and found out want we wanted. From my sketch he drew up a detailed plan and checked with us about the details and any other adjustments that we might want to be made. Grant then built as much as he could back at his shop. He then came to our home to install and put the finishing touches on the project. He was timely, meticulous and polite. We are totally enjoying the beauty of the buffet every day. I know that his shop also builds with metal and does custom displays for such places as the Science Museum of Minnesota.
Description of Work: Industrial Artisans built a custom built-in buffet in our dining room. I drew a rough sketch of what I wanted. They made a few suggestions and asked me quite a few questions while offering different options for things, such as the type of hinges and knobs that I wanted. The buffet goes all of the way to the ceiling and they built in a place for the speakers to our sound system at the top. This has a hinged door on it so that it is disguised and does not look like the place where there are speakers. The mid-section has glass doors and mirrors in the back. In the lower section we actually keep our CD player (the wires are hidden as they go up the back to the speakers). Grant went to extremes in order to get a perfect match on the stain so that it fits exactly with the color of our dining room set. Grant's workmanship is so meticulous that in places where two pieces of wood come together at the corners, it looks as though it is all one piece of wood.
