It was such a fiasco; they shouldn?t be allowed to do what they do. They weren?t doing what they said they would do and they weren?t even nice about it. The process was terrible and unprofessional?it was totally disorganized. The installers were very nice but didn?t do a very good job and it ended up costing us a lot more money than we expected. The installation of the cabinets is what we had the difficulty with. Their staff is overworked and the whole process becomes so unfriendly because of it.

They had a good selection to choose from. We will be doing the installation outselves, but it was not been completed yet.

The designer was professional and friendly, his plan was brilliant (other designers and contracting services were stumped when confronted with our kitchen).  He thought of solutions no one else had considered and gave good, practical advice.

They assembled them and installed them. It went very well. They moved along so quickly. They were installed and working in 2-3 days. There was a lot of work involved.

They have cute furniture for low prices. It is easy to shop there and it has always been good. I like that you can select the quality of product you want that fits your price range.

The sales employees at IKEA were absolutely wonderful. IKEA deserves A's across the board. I've even sent some of my friends there. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I picked up the furniture and helped with assembly. We had a 50% rate of return due to damage in shipping or missing parts (I picked up the boxes at the store, so the damage was from the factory to Ikea). Overall, the style is wonderful, but the quality is very poor. When I factor in my time for multiple trips for returns/exchanges, I find that they are not a good value.

My wife and I had spent a number of visits to IKEA to determine exactly what we wanted. We picked up all of the things we wanted in one step because IKEA was offering free delivery in the Twin Cities Metro area as a promotion. Everything we purchased was delivered as promised and I proceeded to put everything together. The bathroom is not yet finished (or started) but everything else is together and looks like top-notch stuff. We have had numerous compliments from visitors to our house. It is functional and reasonably priced, so even if something breaks, it will not cost us much to replace it. I also do not mind having to assemble my own furniture. If it saves me money, sign me up.

IKEA is great. They offer furniture for a reasonable price and offer fairly nice products. I bought some end furniture, lamps, and curtains for my apartment. Most of the furniture needs to be assembled, but its easy to do and doesn't take much time.

They had all our parts and pieces in stock. We were going to have them deliver the boxes, but the clerk asked our vehicle type and suggested we just pack it up and take it home that day. It was a tight squeeze, but we fit it all in and saved about $75 and didn't need to worry about being home to receive the delivery. We had Steve Booth Construction assemble and install the cabinets, as he was recommended by IKEA. We love the cabinets and get lots of compliments from guests, who can't believe they are from IKEA! I liked using the kitchen planning program from the website to design the layout of the cabinets.

I bought a rug on a whim just before closing during a rug sale. It was the only one like it in a huge messy pile of discounted items that had been picked over all day. I preferred one that wasn't on sale, but figured I'd try the discounted one first since it was so inexpensive and I'd confirmed it was returnable. I laid it out twice in my living room for just a few minutes each time, but I didn't like it. A couple of weeks later, I got back to the store to return it so I could buy the one I really wanted. They refused to refund my money, telling me the rug had stains on it and had "obviously" been used, even though the tag was still on it. They said they wouldn't take it back because they couldn't resell it in that condition - but that's the condition they SOLD it to me in! I never used the rug, and I would have checked to make sure it didn't have defects before buying it if the cashier hadn't assured me it was returnable. Now I'm stuck with an ugly, dirty rug I hate and won't use.

Ikea is a good place to get quality modular furniture at a decent price. The store is better than most of it's competitors at making it easy to get items out of the store and into your vehicle.

IKEA Twin Cities is an amazing store. It's HUGE and unless you have at least 2 hours to shop, don't even plan on going into the main showroom. If you're not familiar with IKEA, either read the posted instructions on how to shop, or find someone who is familar with the store and how things work. It is not a typical sales-person-approaches-to-help store. You do your own thing, from learning about the products (detailed info available), going to the warehouse level to pick up the things you want, hauling your own stuff home and assembling it yourself. (Assembly is not too difficult if you can read directions and maybe have a second person to help out for larger items). There are IKEA associates available in the store to help and answer questions, but don't attempt to be too demanding on weekends...the store is too busy then. IKEA has great phone customer service and will replace, send out or return pretty much anything. I will buy more things from IKEA in the future.

I AM GLAD IKEA IS AVAILABLE NOW IN TWIN CITIES. I THINK IT IS ONE OF THE BEST STORES FOR FURNITURE SHOPPING. IT IS HUGE, HAS WIDE VARIETY OF CHOICES. GREAT STORE FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET DECENT THINGS DONE WITH LESS BUDGET. ONLY THING IS YOU HAVE TO ASSEMBLE YOURSELF MOST OF THE STUFF YOU BUY ON YOUR OWN, WHICH COULD BE DIFFICULT, IF YOU HAVE BUSY PROFESSION. BUT WE HAVE BOUGHT FEW THINGS OVER TIME FROM IKEA AND THEY ARE SIMPLE, VERY UNIQUE, AFFORDABLE. THEIR RETURN POLICY IS GREAT, TOO AND YOU GET SENSE OF JOY AND FULFILLMENT WHEN YOU ASSEMBLE FURNITURE ON YOUR OWN. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF. ONLY THING IS THEY ARE VERY BUSY ON WEEKENDS AND IT IS, I THINK, OVERCROWDED AT TIMES. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO VISIT IT, IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO IKEA.
