Studio 4or Design worked with me from the initial concept for an addition and remodel to expand the kitchen and add a powder room and deck. Their team of professionals -- interior architect, exterior architect and designer -- began with exploring my needs in detail, and did extensive investigation into my existing home. They proposed several approaches and schematics and worked with me to adjust the design; they solicited an engineering consultation to confirm structural soundness of the proposed design; and worked with St Paul city code to ensure that their building plans would meet all city requirements. Most importantly, they successfully incorporated and repeated existing architectural elements of my home to achieve an important goal for me: that the addition appear to have always been a part of the structure. In addition, they provided extensive help in designing the interior space to work with my practical needs and my taste, and to make the space faithful to the interior design elements of the house, helping to create a space reminiscent of the original 1915 kitchen. I could not be happier with the result -- it is beatiful, functional, and elegant in its use of space and light.
