The sales person was very helpful and gave me many options to choose from. They were very easy to work with, professional and punctual. They did a good job and I was satisfied with their work. They cleaned up everything after the work was done.

We had a great experience with Home Value. The carpet was a great value and the installers did a terrific job and were great to deal with. The salespeople were professional and really knew what they were doing. They made the whole process quite easy and fun.

The tile that we originally purchased through Home Valu Interiors was discontinued by the manufacturer. Home Valu Interiors mistakenly threw away tiles they had ordered and set aside for us. Because of this mistake, we did not have the choice to keep the original tile flooring and went with hardwood floors. If we wanted to select a tile floor, we would need to try matching other tile within the unit. We paid 1/3 of the project costs($2300 for us) prior to work being performed, but receipt and warranty information were not sent for almost 2 months. The contractors hired by Home Valu Interiors ripped up the tile floor with jackhammers and did a poor job of covering rooms. They put up a total of 3 plastic sheets that did not protect our condo from extreme dust. We spoke with Vicki Cartwright about our dissatisfaction that every surface, closet, and cupboards in our home were covered with dust. She informed us cleanup was not included in the initial work order. We were warned by the onsite manager, and informed the contractors damaged the trash chute by throwing tiles down. Once the tile was ripped up, we noticed a few large holes in the jibcrete. This was not a concern the contractors brought up, and the holes would not have been fixed if we had not contacted Vicki. This further delayed the construction while we communicated between Vicki and her contractors. Often, Vicki would not return phone calls to the contractors, and this would delay construction. We waited to hear from Vicki on the status of repairing the jibcrete. A number of days passed before we received an update on repairs. At this time, the contractors mentioned to us they had problems communicating with Vicki about our issues as well. During the jibcrete repair process, there was a conference call with Vicki. While discussing our concerns, Vicki got angry and told us she is not making money on this deal. She finished the phone call by saying she's done with this and hung up the phone. The hardwood floor was put down and we immediately noticed 1 sinkhole in the largest jibcrete hole. Vicki asked us to wait a month for the floor to settle and then contact her if there was still an issue. We waited for the floor to settle. During this time, we noticed a total of 3 sinkholes. One morning, we overfilled our Christmas tree, and an amount of water was spilled on the floor. We caught the spill, and immediately wiped it up. The spill was a diameter of about 1 foot. At the end of the day, there were two large buckles in the wood, two feet to the left of the spill. The buckles continued to grow throughout the week, and eventually began to lift a 5-foot area. Vicki sent Jeremy (installation company) to our residence on Dec. 19, 2007 to check sinkholes and buckling where water was spilled. Jeremy told us he couldn't believe the extent of the damage and didn't feel the floor should have buckled as it did.

Excellent! The experience with the salesman was very good. No high pressure. Very cooperative and obviously very knowledgeable. The installs were very nice to work with and did an excellent job, including removing the old carpeting and cleaning up when finished.

THEY WERE A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THEY WERE A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. THEY DID TELL ME THE CABINETS WOULD TAKE 2 OR 3 WEEKS TO COME IN BUT IT WAS REALLY 8 OR 9 WEEKS. IT REALLY WASN'T THEIR FAULT, SINCE THEY HAD TO ORDER THE CABINETS FROM THE CABINETMAKER. THE BOTTOM LINE IS, THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE INSTALLATION AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

My bedroom carpet looked great. They were very careful while working in my home. They did a nice job of cleaning up everything before they left. It was cut exact and it fits the room perfectly. There are also no seams showing. I would definitely use them for carpeting again. Their price was also comparable to others for the style of carpet we got.

It didn't start well - I was expecting the men between 8 am and 10 am but on the first day they arrived at 11.45 am. They had been to finish a small job at another property - fair enough, but I was upset not to have been told about the late arrival. This lack of information was prevalent throughout the whole remodel. We were not kept informed about the schedule of work and some days no-one arrived at all. Most days it was almost 10 am when they arrived but left again between 3 pm and 4 pm. Whilst some of the sub contractors were extremely professional and respectful of being in our property, others were not. Unfortunately the bad experiences are the ones we remember. In fairness, we are pleased with the end result, but feel we could have had a less stressful remodel at a more reasonable price, if we had taken time to look at other companies.

Installers arrived at appointed time, but left to pick up more carpet tackstrips. They returned to finish the job in the promised time. They had great attention to detail. They left sizable remnants, as it was ''end of roll.'' Ed Blaeser, salesman, was easy to work with, offering many samples from which to choose. I would use them again for other rooms. Prices were less expensive than Macy's Home Store for similar quality and installation. We removed existing carpeting ourselves to save $366. They offered their store dumpster for its disposal, which we used.

I told him what I was looking for. He brought samples to my house and I picked one. He went back to the store and found out what was on sale, matched it, and got a fabulous price reduction. He ordered, and it was delivered and installed (they moved my furniture for me) within 5 days. I am a realtor, and I have given his name to 6 other clients that rave of the fantastic service and quality carpeting that he has provided.

My experience was mixed. I was very pleased with the preliminary planning; the store consultant, Tina, was very knowledgeable, listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me advice and several good options to choose. But the execution was lacking. They scheduled the countertop installer before arranging for someone to tear it out. Tina told me the sink I ordered didn't come with a strainer basket, when in fact it came with two. Also, the countertop installers failed to caulk the seams along the wall. The plumber, a guy named Tony from St. Michael, did a great job and also agreed to do the caulking in exchange for one of the strainer baskets. But the biggest problem was that Home Valu told me I needed electrical work done under the sink, when in fact the electrician took one look and said I was completely within code. The whole thing was an inconvenience for him and it annoyed me, and I made certain that I wasn't charged a trip cost for the electrician.

They were generally pretty helpful & since they had a Bertch sale running, the price was quite good. However, especially when we were shopping for granite countertops for the vanity, we got a bit of a run-around. Almost every salesperson had a slightly different story about their remnants (hence the low rating in professionalism). We ended up buying the countertop elsewhere.

It was hard to get help initially but when we did get helped, Jennifer was very nice and helpful. They subcontract the work. It was done by a group of Russian gentlemen who were very nice and professional. The job was nicely done but I think the price was high.

Ed Blaeser was the perfect salesman. He wasn't pushy. He showed me sale items, helped with color coordination, and pointed me to a really great installer (Terry Eggum) who was under the store's price and did a super job. I couldn't even tell where the seam is. Everything was ready for pickup on time and Ed followed up to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely go there again.

WE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. BECAUSE WE WANTED TO HAVE THE CARPET INSTALLED WITHIN THAT WEEK, WE HAD A LIMITED SELECTION BUT FOUND A STYLE AND COLOR THAT WORKED PERFECTLY. INITIALLY, THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYONE ABLE TO DO THE INSTALLATION IN THE TIME WE REQUESTED, BUT THEY CONTINUED TO SEARCH AND FOUND SOMEONE (AND CALLED US AT HOME TO ARRANGE IT). THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND FAST.

THE FOLKS IN THE FLOOR DEPARTMENT WERE VERY NICE. I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE PURCHASED MY KITCHEN COUNTERTOPS FROM THEM AS WELL, BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANYONE WHO WANTED MY BUSINESS IN THAT DEPARTMENT.
