After a lot of going back and forth the bathroom floor is finally done and looks nice. Its not the way I initially wanted it done, but at least I'm done working with Home Depot.

It went terribly. I wish that I never would have stepped foot into Home Depot. It started with my wrong address being entered into their system for the purchase order....They just assumed that the address they had on file was correct and didn't bother to clarify prior to pushing "enter". I had moved about a month previous to this so each time someone was sent to my house, they had to call me from driveway of my old house to ask me where I was.....they were here to measure or to deliver material or to do the installation. But...no one was ever able to figure out how to change the address, even though it was discussed prior to me leaving the sales person's desk. Good thing I had only moved about a mile and not clear across town.
No one ever bothered to call me with my estimate...I had to go into store and have someone try to find it. When the job actually got started, things went very wrong from the very first day. In addition to the kitchen, hall, bathroom and 2 closets to be done, I had been told by salesman and the person who came to do the measuring, that an approximately 10 square foot area in front of my patio door could also be replaced, "No problem!", with the same flooring. They forgot to mention this to the Crew 2 people who kept passing the buck and ended up saying that it wasn't possible for a job like that to be done, due to the unevenness of the concrete flooring underneath the patio door. It is a single level townhome so no basement or wooden framework. (I'm sure that this house is not the first single level town home that has wanted to replace flooring in front of a patio door...there are more and more of these being built all the time.)
The whole job was supposed to have been able to be completed May 27-28 and did not end up getting completed until mid September. The job had been done so poorly by Crew 2, who is contracted by Home Depot to do all of their flooring installations, I ended up and had to hire another company, Catalina Carpets in White Bear Lake, to come and fix all that Crew 2 had done wrong. (And it was amazing how Catalina Carpets was able to do the area by patio door with no problem, it just took a little bit of leveling out of that concrete ....and it looks great!)
I understand that Crew 2 had a large amount of the fault involved with this job, but it also amazes me that Home Depot could possibly continue to contract, exclusively, with a company that can, from what I have since heard, do jobs this poorly and have such poor communication
I went back to the store after everything had been completed, to make returns of unused items. The service desk person asked me how I would like the refund, in a check or a store gift card, I chuckled and said, 'Check, please. I don't plan on being back into this store to have opportunity to use the store card."

You get comfortable going to there, you know where the stuff is and it's convenient. They're good and helpful. I didn't have to wait long. Their price was reasonable for the cabinet.

They sent out a company that did it, and they seemed to know what they were doing. They covered it in plastic so they were careful. They did do a good job.

My home depot experience 7-13-14 4pm
1)     Had a florescent tube burn out
2)     Went to home depot because they recycle the tube
3)     I walked up to the return counter with my bad
tube
4)     The greeter saw me in line with the Tube
5)     I received a terse we don?t take those any more
6)     I asked where am I supposed to take them
7)
He said I don?t know... but we don?t take them
no more
8)     I said you have to have it posted where you can recycle
them
9)     He quickly ran behind the counter pulled out a
book flashed the page at me a put it back under the counter
10)  This motion was way too fast for any human to
tell what was written
11)  I said... that was little hard to read...
12)  He said I call the manager and he did and huffed
off
13)
The manager came in a timely manner and
explained that they did not recycle any more
14)
He did produce the Book and showed me where to
take them.
15)  I left and went to a competitor that cheerfully
took my tube and sold me a new one
Conclusion
1)     this particular individual should not be at the
door as a greeter
2)     He should not have intervened in my return at
the counter
3)     Home depot should recycle what they sell or do
not sell it
4)     I think I will avoid the home depot for awhile I don't think I have ever been this disrespected by a retailer

Everything went well he explained everything that would be done and how long it would take to complete. He also explained that they would obtain the necessary permits. After receiving the detailed estimate I decided I’m not able to afford to do it at this time.

The sales person was pretty intent on obtaining a sale and told us what we wanted to hear in order to make the sale.  There was NO itemized bill as to materials, labor, just a blanket total for the job.  This should have been a BIG RED FLAG.  When I asked for an itemized bill I was informed that I would be given one.  When the sales person came out to obtain a signature for a work-order change, due to miss information about a product, she conveniently left the itemized bill back at the office and hand wrote a rough list.  Not worth the time it took to write it.   After the job was completed we were to sign off which stated that Home Depot had fulfilled their contract.  The sales person had stated NOT to sign off until we were completely satisfied with the job.  The only problem with this is that the installer only gets paid when the homeowner signs off on the job.  Even though we were unsatisfied and had voiced our concerns with the materials used in the construction of the cabinets and pull outs and questioned the drawer slides being used on the base cabinet and pantry pull outs instead of installing heavy duty slides.  Our installer assured us that ALL was per the work order and should be fine.  He would bring out the shelf that was missing from the upper cabinet within the next day or two and we had a warranty on all materials.  We signed off because the installer had done a good job of installing the materials that had been provided him.  After two days the pull outs, which had been only partially filled, started to FAIL.  Because of signing off on the project it became more difficult to get the problem fixed.  There was questions and wasted time spent on going back over the original work order with in house employees before getting back to us.  After a lengthy ordeal with heads of department and the need to go to the head of Home Depot Remodeling division.  We had the issues taken care of.  There is much more to this situation but I do not wish to write a short novel on EVERYTHING that took place with missed delivery dates, multiple times needed to deliver and install materials which had problems and could not be installed along with countless phone calls to Home Depot and the counter company in trying to get things done.  The reason I did not write this review before now is that I wanted to make sure there were no other problems and to have Home Depot paid for the job.  Now my only concern is having the materials covered for the duration of their warranty.  However, I would not recommend using Home Depot Re-modelers on any large home project!!!  As far as Home Depot local stores go I highly recommend them.  The individual stores and their management teams are extremely intent on customer satisfaction.  That is why I used Home Depot Re-modelers in the first place.

We have had great service there.  We were looking at washers, dish washers and dryers and a couple of people helped me.  They were quite helpful in explaining the different features and give you more information on the different choices that are available.  That was really helpful.  We have noticed at this particular location, we bought an older home so we remodeled our kitchen and bathroom.  We actually bought carpets from there that we absolutely love.  We found that most of them may be 90%of the time the people that are there are very helpful and if they can’t they actually help us they would find someone who can.  Be it fixtures or my husband trying to replace piping, they bring in what he needs; they will bring in things from somewhere and tell him what he needs.  They are knowledgeable.  It is great to have somebody knowledgeable and know what they are talking about.  Usually if one walks into some other store during their lunch breaks and try to get some help, there is no body there or they don’t like to be disturbed during their lunch breaks.  We have had such experiences at Home Depot where this person that works in that area is not there but they have actually come out on to the floor during their lunch to help us.  When we were looking for the tiles for my backlash, the person could not find it, and we needed more than what they had available, they did not know where to look for so the person came out from his lunch break helped us find the grout and everything we needed .  He was very patient with us.  That is s commendable customer service.  One does not see very often.  A lot of people don’t go out of their way like that.  We will continue to use this Home Depot.

I thought their price was reasonable. They were on time and were fast. Everything teamed up perfectly so we were pleased. In terms of price, we did not do a lot of comparison but it seemed reasonable. I would consider using their services again in the future.

The person was prompt and courteous. The pricing was fair, but we did not go with them. The cost of the product turned out to be more than what was offered by somebody else for the same service.

We were very satisfied with them. There was a little problem with a plumber that was a sub contractor of theirs. He kind of goofed up some things and had to come back. We looked at several others, including another home improvement store, and they had a great variety that we could pick from. The price was fair and the quality was very good.

We didn?t use their services to get the work done since we liked somebody else better. There wasn?t anything in specific about them that we didn?t like. They were pretty professional and responded pretty efficient. I would probably not use their services in the future.

Rachael did a great job. She's very knowledgeable. Her artistry and design skills are amazing. She proposed fantastic ideas and could not have been more helpful. She went above and beyond our expectations. She also extended special requests to us and my kitchen looks fabulous and is more than I could have hoped for.
