I have used Hirshfields for several projects over the past few years. I was concerned when they bought out Lathrop, as that was a favorite of mine, but they have done a nice job of keeping the customer service expertise of the Lathrop stores. They are helpful and knowledgeable about all kinds of painting needs, and they carry Benjamin Moore paints which are, in a word, fantastic. I would recommend them to folks looking to do their own painting but who need some advice.
