Hennessy's Stump Grinding

Mr. Hennessy did a great job. He ground the stump well into the ground. I was easily able to repair the lawn. He did the work on the day promised, and at the price we agreed on. I'm happy to recommend his work to the community.

I contacted John from seeing his information here on Angie's list. He was quick to return my call and very friendly. We set up a day for him to grind our tree stump and he was here that day and did a great job. I would recommend hiring him.

It went very well. He did a great job and showed up right on time.

We had a silver maple tree removed last fall and needed to get some leftover roots ground before we can lay sod down. John was very professional and in constant contact with me. He came out when he said he would and did a great job. The price John quoted us was the same cost of renting a grinder ourselves, something we were a little hesitant to do. We will definitely use John in the future if the need arises. I highly recommend Hennessy's Stump Grinding to anyone who needs to have this service done.

John used his 2010 vemeer sc252 for 3 clumps of 20+ year old arbor vitae. The rain delayed appts, but he was very accomodating.  Did a nice job 5-8 inches below grade, all chips were small and left neatly in piles.  He used a nice shield to prevent flying debris.  Very careful with the machine and personable to work with.  If we ever need more grinding, will hire him in a hearbeat.  Highly recommended.  Job completed in less than an hour.

I called John Wednesday afternoon after I had a larger tree service come to remove my stump and the worker said his machine would probably wreck my grass as it was a large, commercial size machine and the worker said my lawn was very soft. I thought John might have a smaller machine as he works by himself and I had also contacted him for an estimate.
John was able to come over within an hour. He listened to my concerns about wanting to plant another tree nearby and wanting to not damage any of my other plants. He cut down the rest of the trunk and cut it into a few pieces so I can use it for firewood in my  fireplace. He removed the stump and ground it and cleaned up the area well. I was very happy with the whole process.

John was pompt returning calls and showed up on time.  It turned out that the stump was pretty rotted and he only neded to use hand tools to get rid of it.  Even though he hauled all of his heavy equipment to this job, he only charged me a quarter of the price.  He did a great job getting rid of the stump, and thoroughly cleaned up the debris.
