Help-U-Pack-N-Move

It didn't go well. They showed up without any packing materials, and they broke may items and packed/moved without care. It was very stressful and I would not hire them again for a job of this size.

Everything went very smoothly. Fast and efficient. Would definitely hire them again.

Mostly good, moving the vast majority of our stuff went fine (and we had a lot of stuff, moving a 5-bedroom home). They were reasonably priced, friendly and considerate, and competent for moving standard items. The owner was responsive to the issue that follows. The problem was when they tried to move our treadmill. I had called in advance and was assured that as long as it only required standard tools (which it did), they would be able to disassemble and move the treadmill. We provided the manual/instructions. Well, they tried to move it up a very tight L-shaped stairwell without actually taking it apart enough for that to be physically possible! They gouged several holes in the stairwell walls before giving up. After several movers stood around for a good half hour, watching one of them try to figure out out, we finally told them to just leave it in the basement. The owner of the company himself came over to patch the holes afterward, and he painted over the patches with paint that should have matched (it was labeled "basement" and the entire basement was painted the exact same color). Unfortunately it didn't end up blending at all, so our landlord had to repaint the entire stairwell. We ended up having to arrange for a special treadmill-moving service, on top of paying the original moving crew for the man-hours it took to fail to move it, plus the painting expenses that were deducted from our rental deposit. We would have been fine with paying the treadmill movers in the first place, if the moving company had just been honest about not being able to competently disassemble and move the treadmill themselves. I said I'd hire them again because they did attempt to fix the damage, and were otherwise fine. It would certainly be a factor when choosing my next movers, but would not automatically disqualify them.

They were so polite, on time, very efficient with the time. We had no major damage and just one minor issue with a mark on a couch. I called and there was no problem scheduling the inspection and repair. It’s very easy to contact Marty, the owner, and the whole team was consistently great.

Very nice movers. Were on time. Worked very hard. Took longer than expected but that was primarily do to holdups at my building. Was not award of the travel charge. I moved approximately 7 miles.

We had all the hardwood floors redone on the first level of our house. Hired professionals to move the heavy stuff - couches, dressers, beds, tables, etc. Went with the lowest quote for 2 men and 2 hours (minimum). Loved our first crew. Requested them for the second move, but was sent a different crew ... 3 people showed up for some reason. After a call, it was determined the 3rd man wasn't needed. Luckily he didn't wander too far, as he came and assisted on some of the heavier furniture that was giving this new crew a harder time. Overall they were solid, just some miscommunication. And different abilities depending on the crews. Price was right ($230 for each move, $460 total). Only 1 minor scratch to a doorframe which wasn't a big deal. I'd go with them again.

These guys have a friendly and positive attitude and really get after it to get the job done. They were professional, careful, and worked hard to pack and move our stuff (including a grand piano) over 2 days. We had a lot of it and it took a bit longer than estimated, but got a break in terms of them sending an extra person and truck at no cost once it started to get late. Fun collection of men too, including a pro basketball player and a champion long distance runner. These guys are definitely in shape and friendly!

These guys were friendly, helpful, and hardworking. Price was very fair.

All of the folks my wife and I met and worked with at Help-U-Pack-N-Move were great. They were very responsive and timely in their communication as well as accommodating in any questions or requests we had leading up to our move. Once moving day arrived they were on time, friendly, professional, and fast. All the gentlemen were great. Both my wife and I commented several times during the move and since the move how impressed we were with everyone on the crew and thanked them several times for being so wonderful. We would definitely recommend using Help-U-Pack-N-Move and we would definitely use them again.

These guys are awesome. Friendly. Extremely helpful. They took apart our treadmill, brought it down the stairs, and re-put it back together for us. They also assembled our daughter's bunk bed for us. They go above and beyond.

Worked fast and did a good job

I was absolutely impressed. The entire crew was not only professional and personable, but hard-working, skilled, and results-oriented. From the initial phone call to the last item moved, I felt that my belongings were in exceptional hands, and was delighted that they exceeded my expectations. I would not only use them again without hesitation, but plan to recommend them enthusiastically to friends and family.

We only moved a few miles, but Help-U-Pack-N-Move made it an easy process. They were lowest of multiple quotes and there were NO hidden fees or last minute additional charges. They did a careful job of packing our fine china, dinnerware and other valuables. They provided multiple small trucks to make sure they could easily fit on our narrow roads without blocking the neighbors, and did a professional job of loading/unloading. The quote even included a couple of hours post-move to have people come back to hang heavy objects/rearrange furniture once we got a bit settled in. They came back quickly to pick up a final load of the free boxes once we were all unpacked.

Excellent. The team; Craig, David and Aron were on time, worked really hard all day and were extremely careful and thorough in the move. They checked in with me throughout and were especially careful with my antiques. I could not have asked for a better team, and would certainly hire them again.

No major problems. A crew of about 5 people showed up to help me move. Carefully wrapped up furniture so it would not get damaged. Seemed to know what they were doing and did a quick job. One man drove truck down to Texas. Then he hired a crew of about 3 new people to help move. These were pleasant, professional employees. Unlike other moving cos, this company moved furniture for only one family at a time.

Great! When they'd moved all I needed moved and their minimum time wasn't up, they asked what else they could move.

It went great! They were right on time and knew what they were doing. We did some pre-work by removing a stair railing, removing a couple of doors, and moving all other furniture was out of the way. (This was our choice -- they didn't ask us to do this. We wanted all possible obstacles removed so that the job could go quickly and easily.) When they assessed the situation, they decided they needed to disassemble the sectional prior to moving. (We didn't realize it came apart as it had been delivered to us years ago already assembled.) They were fast and knowledgeable. I had hoped it wouldn't cost as much as it did, but their quote was totally in line with another mover we had checked with and the price quoted was the price we paid. (The other mover, although they said they could take our job, didn't seem very eager to accept the job -- maybe because it was smaller -- and they couldn't accommodate our preferred date.) The photo attached to this review is of the sectional that was moved out.

It went very well. They charged for exactly the time they worked, were very careful with all the items, and were very patient and addressed my needs in a professional manner. I was satisfied with their intelligence, work ethic, foresight, and interest in getting the job done right. I've hired movers several times. These were the best.

The move went very from from my first contact with Marty to the move itself. His estimates of the number of movers, size of truck, number of boxes needed, and estimated hours to complete the job were all very close to actual. I packed the boxes myself On the day of the move, the movers arrived right on time; covered the floors, wrapped the furniture, and loaded everything quickly and carefully. The unloading process went just as smoothly. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and professional.

Four people showed up for what should have been an hour long job. They were "training" two of the movers. They spent an inordinate amount of time wrapping and taping things that didn't need to be done. I guess they were stretching to make sure they got paid for two hours. They didn't ask questions about where things should go and I eventually found a bed skirt wrapped with tape in with the Christmas decorations. They were very slow and slightly rude. I would not recommend or hire again.

Great group of hard working guys. Owner is very professional. Worth every penny!
