"[Member Name Removed] had reached out to us November 2nd 2023 to let us know, for the first time, that she had been noticing items going missing since mid-September. She described four items, but was unable to give any specific dates or times that she noticed the items missing. We take any allegations of theft extremely seriously, as we and all our clients put a great deal of trust into our cleaning staff. We assured [Member Name Removed] that we would investigate immediately and take actions based on the findings. That same day we questioned all five employees that had cleaned for [Member Name Removed] from September-November, privately and individually, about each cleaning appointment, including determining where each cleaner was in the home at what time. None of the team members reported seeing any of the items, or any suspicious behavior or unusual happenings during appointments. They were all cooperative and transparent, their testimony is credible, and details lined up between reports. Due to the thorough nature of the investigative questioning, the details that lined up between employee reports, the logistics that would be required for a team member to steal the items [Member Name Removed] described, and the lack of evidence presented by [Member Name Removed], we concluded that theft by our employees was highly unlikely. Even if theft had occurred, the fact that [Member Name Removed] waited over a month to tell us severely limited our investigation - searching employees personal items, cleaning buckets, and vehicles at that point would not have yielded any useful results. We encourage all our customers to give us feedback as soon as possible when they notice something wrong, whether it’s as serious as possible theft, or as minor as a few cat hairs left on a couch after vacuuming. This is also the first we have heard critical feedback from [Member Name Removed] about our cleaning quality. Had we known earlier that she rated our quality at only a C-, we would have taken steps to make sure we addressed any problem areas."
Come cleaning day, it was clear staff got the shelves in the kitchen, but I had to remind them of a couple of things when I showed up near the end. Plus, after move in we noticed that the upper trim was still filthy...I had to get a step ladder and do the whole ground floor myself. While it only took about 15 minutes, I thought to myself "didn't I just pay somebody to do this job." Also, the top of the fridge was only partly wiped down and had dust in the back corner. Not sure if the staff failed to bring a step ladder with them or a retractable duster...but that should not be an excuse. On the plus side, the oven was spotless and interior cleaned very well.
